The "comic book" is almost false advertising honestly
This was a better video to showcase the contents of the deck than the script Konami made content creators follow. :)
Also pointing out that the decks don't come with tokens is pretty funny, it's crazy how often Konami actually does that.
We didnt know there was a script til like way after..so we just dueled normally.
I remember when they didn’t even make tokens yet and I thought they were referring to actual coins
“Comic book wow this is a great way to learn how to play” now no hate to these guys, I’m actually a fan of their channel now. But! They would have lost their minds if they were newer players trying to follow along with that “comic book”. It was a nightmare, Konami could of done much better. - this normal duel with the decks in this video taught me more than that book did. Thanks guys 🙏🏼
Would be pretty fun to have a pack battle wrap up for the year where you battle using decks built solely from cards you each pulled in the pack battles.
It's an abomination that they didn't include token cards
Giving one of the 2 sht decks a zeus is a real handicap
Behind the scenes...: We play tested off camera 14 games: Synchros won 12 out of 14 games. The one we turned on the camera... Somehow ended up with XYZ winning. Coral Dragon makes it impossible for the XYZ deck to get 2 monsters, because they don't have that option. with Coral Dragon popping backrow and monsters per turn it was always impossible. It just so happened that he had pengiun + zeus in that one game that he got it.
There was 1 misplay on my end, which was not bringing back Quillbolt when I had a Tuner. which could be used to tribute summon mobius to relieve the DMG pressure.

Terrible product to teach new players. Why didn’t they bother each summoning mechanic step by step in the deck or at least out battle traps . Why are old ass Stater decks better then this 😅
The problem with your statement is the fact that older starter decks AREN'T better than this. Including EVERY Summoning Mechanic would be very exhausting for new players. This just teaches them the basics for 2 different Summoning mechanics that are used commonly aside from Links and some card interactions that get more and more advanced as you move through the scripted duel. Older starter decks just give you a deck of 40 cards but don't teach you anything meaningful about card interactions. This product at least TEACHES you interactions, even if they aren't the most advanced.
It's all just baby steps. No starter product should aim to give a new player competitive tools off the rip. That's how you drive away potential players. They learn basic-moderate interactions, and they learn the advanced stuff later.
Plus this comes with a good handful of decent-ish reprints so you can Kickstart your collection to eventually become a competitive player
Even added the black sleeves for xyz and white sleeves for synchros haha
Too bad you're not doing the actual demo...

the penguin soldier I attacked? No he couldn't, because it was marked for destruction post battle. Damage calcuation alrady occured. it was dead, cannot bounce.

The synchro deck really sucks, at least the xyz deck has zeus and eldlich, really bad product by konami.
