@keendeesjarlais3636 Hi Keen! Thank you for watching and for your kind words! I hope you like them! Took me a few weeks to ‘enjoy’ the feel as someone who’d previously always played very soft golf balls but now I love them and they are my gamer (except when I get the Pro V1’s as Christmas and birthday presents! Haha!). Would love to hear how you get on in a few weeks! 👍🏼
@@weekendtourpros definitely more click on them, not scared tho.. I guess you use it long enough, your body adjusts to it and its second nature. the flight path is generally very straight without too much in flight side to side movement. I struggled with the q star tour in that regard , I felt it was a little more in consistent. I too have always played softer like vice pro soft, but seem to be leaning the other way. im older now[ 63] with driver speed 85.. I know, pathetic, lol and am trying to find the perfect ball to that end. take care
Great to hear back from you Keen! Nothing pathetic about the clubhead speed! You’ve got nearly 30 years on me and you’re only a couple of mph down on me! I think that’s really good! Totally agree on your point about the ball. I certainly feel like the Bridgestone is perfect now that I’ve played it for 6-9 months consistently. All the best! 👍🏼
Nice work Sir! I have a ton of ProV1's but often differ the B RX. They play very tight all around for me and I can play an entire round with one ball. Durable and long!
I don’t have that massive swing speed i changed my swing so I can’t compare distance because I use to hit about 220-240 yard drives. My strength is 150 and in. I bought some B RXS and tried them yesterday with my new swing was hitting 250-260 yard drives about 20-40 yards more. The biggest thing I wanted from these balls was the 150 and in. They reacted great o hit many shots that gave me great height and the ball stopped on the green quickly. I don’t create crazy spin but my ball was hitting and stopping within 4 feet every time.
Hi JR! Sounds like you’ve had a great experience with these balls! The Tour B RXS is a fantastic ball and I definitely get why it’s added distance and helped maintain stopping power! I hope you continue to get on with it! Thanks for watching my video! All the best! 👍🏼
nice review, and i'd like to say i see the same thing -- there's a sweet spot in there for the Bridgestone RX line, and it's somewhere between 90 mph and 100 mph driver speed. It's perfect for me, but i've got friends that swing it in the 105-110 mph range and they actually lose distance compared to the pro v1. I think it has to do with "over-compressing" the ball. In any case, you're giving out great reviews that are actually useful to the majority of golfers.
Thanks again Chris for watching and commenting! Yes I think Bridgestone themselves claim that when you start to get over 105mph the Tour BX/BXS are the preferred balls. I have a friend who swings it about 110mph and he uses the Tour BXS and his only criticism is it spins a little too much on the green for him in the summer months but otherwise he loves it. Overall though I think Bridgestone really do make some great golf balls! All the best! 👍🏼
Love it Paul! Would love to hear how you get on... Even now, through all the testing I do, I always end up going back to the Bridgestone Tour B RX and fall back in love with it each time... Both these balls are awesome in my opinion! Thanks for watching!
I love the Wilson Staff Model - but agree that unless you get it on the 3 for 2 offer it is pricey (like all premium balls!). Best of luck with the RXS!
I'm loving your videos Luke. I liked and subscribed from the get go and look forward to more. The Bridgestone site fitted me for the RXS and I can't wait to try it out, as well as the Srixon Q Star Tour. Next up will be your Bridgestones vs. Tour Response video. So many quality golf balls, so little time to play. You're helping me narrow it down. Thanks again.
Hi Petro! That’s really kind of you to comment! Thank you! The channel is something I do as a hobby to hopefully help one golfer like me who was also struggling to find relatable videos on TH-cam so thank you! It means a lot! Best of luck with your search for the perfect golf ball for you! 👍🏼
@@weekendtourpros It's 5 am where I live, and found it funny that you're awake and responding already. Then realized you're in quite a different time zone. Finding the right ball for the right golfer can be an expensive proposition. Thanks again for your efforts!
Great video!! Especially because I have the same ball speed and club head speed numbers like you so it helps me a lot :) can’t wait for the Bridgestone Tour B RX vs TM Tour Response
Hi Andreas! Thank you for watching my video and for your kind comment! That’s exactly why I started the channel! Keep your eyes peeled for the video in a couple of weeks!
It’s the best ball that I’ve ever played. I’m a single digit Senior with clubhead speed of 88-93 and they do everything possible. Easy to compress, spin beautifully especially the S, soft of the putter…Excellent ball…
Hi saintcruzin! Thanks for watching my video and for your great comment! I totally agree! I’ve taken both out on the golf course and I must about admit I preferred the RX in the bay but the RXS on the course… love the feel on short game and off the putter just like you! For now the RXS is my gamer ball but still not 100% sure if it will over take my TM Tour Response long term just yet! All the best and keep enjoying your golf! 👍🏼
@@keendeesjarlais3636 Hi Keen! I’d always loved the soft feel of it and the distance I got out of it for the price point it was at. However I’m naturally a lower spin player so the one thing it was costing me was that which is why I started my journey to find something that didn’t feel ‘horrible’ to me but offered a similar construction and price point but with more spin. I’ve found I’ve had to move to a slightly firmer ball like (Tour B RX) to get that balance! Hope that helps! 👍🏼
Hi Cleveland! Thank you for watching my video and for your kind comment! It’s hard to test everything as I know some people would like to see more/other clubs but I do think the wedge part tests the short game claims which the manufacturers make! All the best! 👍🏼
Thanks Roy! That’s really kind of you! Thank you for watching another one of my videos! I really do appreciate the support of people like yourself who have been really kind from the beginning! I hope you are well? And enjoying your golf?
I know this video is close to a year old, but I've made the decision to stop playing random premium golf balls I find and stick with one ball. I've always liked a few of the bridgestones I find, so my search led me to your review. I'm very curious (because we have have similar swing numbers), what ball are you playing now (2024)? This was a great video, much help in my search
Hi Blue_Dun! Thanks for watching and for your kind words and question. I’m still playing the Bridgestone Tour B RX (red box) from this video as I still had stock left over after buying a few dozen! It’s actually opened my eyes to other balls too as I’ve got used to its slightly firmer feel than I usually played. Intention is to film the review of the new versions soon and go from there… 👍🏼
Hi KMurf! Totally agree. Which of the two do you prefer??? I’ve actually gazed the RXS for a while but recently gone back to my TM Tour Response. I’m actually filming a comparison of the two balls tomorrow to decide which one I go with permanently! Thanks for watching my video and for your comment! All the best! 🤙🏼
Nice review. I’m surprised you’re comparing them to the pro v1. The ball Bridgestone makes that’s comparable to that is the Bridgestone Tour B XS (no R). You might want to try that too even though your swing speed is slower. If you can play the pro v1 you can certainly game the Tour B XS.
Hi Kayak! Thanks for watching another one of my videos and for your kind words. I always use the Pro v1 for comparison purposes when reviewing balls as it allows people to see how each ball compares to a consistent baselines ball; arguably the number one and seen by many as the ‘best’ ball in golf. I think your suggestion to test the XS (targeting faster swing speeds) against these would be really interesting to see what happens in my hands is a brilliant idea! I’ll do that early this year as I have a sleeve of the XS to test already! All the best! 👍🏼
TourB RXS is the ball I use. Don’t lose much with the longer sticks but find I gain more with the shorter sticks 👌🏽 but after this I may give the RX a go 👍🏽
Hi Chris! Thanks for watching my video and for your comment! I’ve taken the RX out on the course for my last round and I’m definitely feel like I’m getting a bit more out of it on the driver but equally that could be the courses just firming up a little. I am still undecided though as don’t enjoy it as much, feel wise, off the shorter clubs. So going to give the RXS a go before I decide. Also got the Tour Speed and Tour Soft to review soon as they are a similar profile just to see if I prefer the feels.
Hi Antti! Thanks again for watching! Yes the Tour RX performed fantastic! I had a fitting today and my fitter actually suggested I move to this ball or try the Q Star from Srixon too. He wants me to get a bit more iron spin than I currently get from my TM Tour Response whilst maximising driver length! Hope you are well? 👍🏼
@@weekendtourpros yes! starting to play in finland! thats intresting stuff. i am actually intrested to get more distance to my drives in the first hand. But not too fast, since i got my Srixon ZX7 driver. it goes straight! very happy. Actually i feel stiff shaft and little more compact head does it for me!
Fantastic Antti! I’ve heard good things about the Srixon driver and always known their irons were great! Nothing better than a driver you feel confident with! Great that you are also able to get out on the course now too! Enjoy! 👍🏼
Hi Paul! I’m literally in between those two balls right now! Love the Tour Response and have done for two years but I’ve been told I need a bit more spin so trying the Bridgestone Tour B RX as it seems to offer me a fraction more! Both great balls and you’re spot on, the Stripe alignment aid is great! Hope you’ve had a good weekend pal! 👍🏼
Hi Pete! Thanks for watching my video and for your kind comment! I’m literally in this predicament at the moment. Both great balls at similar price points! Love the feel of the Tour Response and if you like the stripe then totally get why you’d go for them! But the Bridgestones performed fantastic! All the best 👍🏼
FYI, the pro v 1 is the number 1 ball in golf because on tours they give them away where as the other brands don't so its a little misleading of a stat.
Hi Rawkinlb73! Thanks for watching and for your comment! Based on the research I’ve done, including MyGolfSpy, the Titleist Pro V1 is apparently the best selling golf ball at retail too… so I think it’s the number one ball all round! 👍🏼
Hi StumpkillerCP! Thanks for watching my video and your comment! I like both of these balls! I’ve actually gamed the RX for a few weeks and I’m less sure on it atm… weirdly it’s the logo that annoys me most! Haha! I’m hoping I’ll get over that! All the best! 👍🏼
The only advice I’d offer to follow on from StumpkillerCP is recycled balls get the highest grade (mint) ones. You’ll still usually save 25%+ vs. New and they are as good as they can be. If this makes playing or trying a ‘better ball’ for you more affordable or allows you to play the same ball consistently then I think it’s always worth a go! 👍🏼
Great golf balls indeed….the only problem that we get here in the Montréal area ( Canada 🇨🇦) is the distribution ( logistics) I would add on Wilson’ products the same. Did not find a golf club selling the Bridgestone
Hi ErEf! Thanks for watching and for the information! It’s not as bad in the UK if you buy them online but rare that I see a golf club pro shop selling anything not Titleist, TM, Callaway or Srixon! Similar with Wilson too like you say! Can you get them online like we can? 👍🏼
Hi Kevin! Thank you for watching my video and for your comment! That test is definitely on the list to do soon! Strangely I’ve been playing both Bridgestone balls on the course and I’m preferring the Tour B RXS on the course and the Tour B RX in the bay. On the course I’m also still really enjoying my TM Tour Response too and I have a video dropping this week with a new potential contender in the mix! All the best! 👍🏼
I really like the BRX and have used that for a while but I prefer a yellow ball and they don’t seem to sell the yellow RX in the U.K. Didn’t like the RXS so been trying the XS but think I am losing distance as don’t swing fast enough
Hi Phil! Thanks for watching my video and for your comment! I must admit I’ve never seen a yellow Bridgestone of any model in the UK so they must be tough to get your hands on then, especially if you are actively looking for them! I’ve got the XS to test in the future but like you, I think I don’t swing fast enough to get the benefit from them! All the best! 👍🏼
For me, I don't need to see you when you are describing the data. Your video covered up part of the data that I wanted to see. No way to move the small window. Good info. Thanks.
Hi Jack! Thanks for watching and for the feedback. I used to just voice it over but added the small video window so good to know that doesn’t always work for people. Out of curiosity which data point was it that you were keen to see so I know for next time? All the best! 👍🏼
Hi Eric! Yes this surprised me too! To be fair to Bridgestone the box and their marketing says “more greenside control/spin” so I guess the question is: how far away from the green does that mean? It could mean only 20-30 yards. As you saw in my test a full pitching wedge from 120ish yards would seem to be just beyond the crossover point. Thanks for watching my video! All the best! 👍🏼
This confused me but I suspect if you look at the launch and landing (aero on chips is pretty negligible I am guessing, so it’s compression) they would show very similar performance. What also interests me is putting not feel but roll consistency and how true they are.
@@christophertandy8317 Hi Christopher! Thanks for the reply! I did used to including putting, more for feels than any scientific stuff (e.g. roll on Quintic monitor) but people weren’t overly keen on it! Is this something you’d be keen to see if I could get access in future?
@@weekendtourpros I would but I like the ramp approach as in seeing if the ball deviates… my paranoia is the ball not going on line, I found the vice balls were very good and would go in the hole more frequently than the pro v .. I like the Srixons as well they have a tendency to head toward the hole.
Hi Kan! Thanks for watching my video! Bridgestone balls aren’t as common in the UK and I think that’s a massive shame as my first experiences with them, using these two balls, has been awesome! I definitely want to test the more budget friendly E12 too on the channel soon! I’ve heard good things, matching your views! 👍🏼
Hi ShivasIrons22! Thanks for watching my video and for your assessment! Yeah hard to disagree! I’ve actually taken both out on the course and I struggled to get on with the RX like I did in the bay - mainly a feel thing, particularly off the putter whereas I loved the RXS and I’ve been scoring really low with it. So for now it’s made it’s way into my bag… I’m still testing balls on the channel and so I’m not certain it’s staying for good as I love the feel but like you say the iron spin is a little too low for me long term! Thanks for the great comment! 👍🏼
Hey Spud! Thanks for watching the video and for your comment! I included the Z Star in my original premium golf ball video and really liked it! As for the Q Star it’s on my list to test ASAP as I had a fitting today and my fitter suggested I put it up against the Tour RX! So that review will be coming soon! All the best! 👍🏼
Hi N&M! Yep, currently, when I hit both ‘good’ it’s about 50 yard carry difference! Part of the issue is my driver swing isn’t optimal (I hit down on it slightly) so I have a better iron swing than driver, also I don’t hit the ball that high which doesn’t help with carry as I get to less lofted clubs. For this reason my bag goes 6i, 5h, 5w then driver and I only carry 12 clubs. All about keeping it in the air as much as I can! Thanks for watching my video and for your comment! 👍🏼
😂😂😂 honestly Max, until I got home from filming this video, I never knew I did it and I have no idea why my mic picked it up this time but not on my other videos! I was left with this horrible option of cutting the shots early, killing the sound or leaving it in and I thought that was the best option! In hindsight it wasn’t! Haha! Thanks for watching the video though and for making me laugh with your comment! 👍🏼
😂😂😂😂😂 wow! You’ve got me there! Too good! I’m literally about to go to the studio to film - will have this in the back of my mind so I don’t deflate after hitting shots!
Hi Burnout! Thanks for watching my videos and for your concern! As a 13 handicap golfer the purpose of my videos is to make relatable golf content - which the masses can identify with... However with that comes the fact that as a 13 handicap golfer I am the biggest variable in all my tests! You see my results warts and all… if I don’t hit a club that well on the day then that’s golf! No test or golfer is perfect! On this particular day my driver delivery wasn’t my best or my optimal… however it wasn’t far out. My optimal shots carry about 212-220 yards on TM and total about 240 yards. Those numbers are spot on as they match the TM published data for LPGA Tour averages (93mph clubhead speed with a 216 yard average carry and 246 yard total - which given their skill I’d such is due to them being super consistent!). I could ‘fake’ extra distance by dialling down the loft slightly but that is unplayable on the golf course as it brings in much bigger misses in all directions where the spin falls off a cliff! I hope that helps to clarify! 👍🏼
The Bridgestone RX is the closest ball to a ProV1 on the market! The RXS I hated, too soft and too spinny. I lost yardage with driver and long irons! The RX might be the best ball I’ve ver used!
Hey Dmkfactor! Thanks for watching another of my videos and for your comment! Yeah I LOVED the performance of the RX! I had a fitting today and the fitter also recommended it over my current Tour Response! So GOOD!!! All the best! 👍🏼
@@weekendtourpros I don’t know if you have them in Europe, but the Wilson Triad is an interesting ball too. About 10 US less and supposedly a decent 3 piece urethane cover ball.

Do you find recycle balls lack in performance in any way?
@@kandesjarlais7164 At my skill level I don’t notice any difference.
Yes exactly, that’s what we have to do….online with national golf suppliers.
Be nice to see the test between the taylormade tour response and the two bridgestone’s 😊
@@weekendtourpros You can get yellow RXS and XS. Interested to see a comparison of the RX v XS as your swing speed is similar to mine
Good to know, thanks Phil! I’ll hopefully have the XS reviewed in a few weeks. Couple of others ahead of it on my filming schedule at the moment!
Odd that the rx spun more than rxs on pw club. Even though the box says rxs should have more spin.
I have played with the brx and the brxs. For me the brxs stops so much more quickly than the brx up to about 130yds.
All I know is that whenever I play with my friends, I’m winning. Thanks to Bridgestone E 12 and tour B RX
RX crushed the S in your test. The S was low spin with irons and high spin with driver. Hard pass. RX did very well.
What about the Srixon Z and Q star
Maxfli tour vs brxs
Hi Donald! Thanks for watching! Is that a request for a comparison you’d like to see? Let me know! 👍🏼
You only gaining 40 yards carry between 7 iron and driver
You sound like you’re deflating after every shot
😂😂😂 honestly Max, until I got home from filming this video, I never knew I did it and I have no idea why my mic picked it up this time but not on my other videos! I was left with this horrible option of cutting the shots early, killing the sound or leaving it in and I thought that was the best option! In hindsight it wasn’t! Haha! Thanks for watching the video though and for making me laugh with your comment! 👍🏼
No worries mate keep up the good work
m.th-cam.com/video/fS3U_AraWfI/w-d-xo.html reminded me of this clip 😂
😂😂😂😂😂 wow! You’ve got me there! Too good! I’m literally about to go to the studio to film - will have this in the back of my mind so I don’t deflate after hitting shots!
Something seriously wrong with your driver. Distance is terrible for speed….. Great video tho 👍🏻
@@weekendtourpros I admire that buddy. Keep up the great work 👍🏻 Easy sub
@@Burnout9388 thank you! The quest for improvement is ongoing!
Hi Dmkfactor! I’ve been asked to test these by another subscriber and got my sleeve of them about 5 minutes ago! Hoping to get back in the studio in the next fortnight and film the review! So please keep an eye out! It’s coming soon! 👍🏼
