Bayern Munich have a stranglehold on german football that will never loosen and there are examples all over football history of money changing the fortunes of football clubs. City are simply doing it in a massively organised and methodical way and the whole club is being run incredibly.. for me that is what really upsets people! City are fast becoming a super club!

Man Utd originally needed investment from someone when they were in dire financial straits to achieve their original success long long ago. Chelsea actually made the league more competitive cause it was just mostly United winning the title up until that point with Arsenal breaking in a couple of times and Blackburn having that one season when they won it

But ultimately the system which allowed them to grow ends up being unfair on other teams. There success on the pitch came at a time when tv revenue and sponsorship was going through the roof, so naturally because united were winning everything they were getting the lions share of the commercial success, fair enough. But this leads to a gap being created where less successful clubs can't compete financially. So you might say, well, just go and win on the pitch and you too will have commercial profits. Problem is the system has now created such a gap that the ambitious clubs can't compete because they can no longer keep hold of their brightest talent, which is ultimately what you need to be successful. Yes united brought through academy talent, most of the clubs operated that way up until the early 00s, but they also had the pick of the best talent in England, talent that could have stayed at their own clubs and help build them. If people are bothered about fairness in terms of spending, introduce a salary cap across the board, but I think we all know what the answer would be from the top 6 clubs. Its an absolute myth that the historically big clubs are there through merit alone

In the last decade we rank in the top 3 for players sold(REVENUE GENERATED) , so dont even compare us with man city and psg , because we dont even buy 100 mill pound players.

There is a difference with earning the Premier League and buying it. Man City and Chelsea had a very ordinary history's 20 years ago. They have bought their success, whereas other clubs have earned theirs.
We beat Real Madrid in the 1998 Super Cup. A cup winners cup, a fa cup and a league cup. Almost won the league at one point but we have no history.
