Hey Scotty, I'm a huge fan, junior mechanic. My last vehicle was a lifted 95 blazer I bought with 173000 miles on it. Original engine and transmission, i drove it for 5 years until it had 287000 miles on it when I was in an accident. Is it normal, from your experience, for these blazers to last this long? I changed oil every 3000 miles and checked oil and coolant level every week, didn't leak a drop.

Well, I got a automatic red miata that is a 2001 with only 27K miles on it, that is still in pretty decent condition too. The paint job on the body of mine looks way better than the green one in the video cuz I always kept a car cover on it. The side mirrors need to be repainted and just the front bumper because of the peeling paint. I do plan on selling it soon when I move to another state maybe in the spring time of next year. Anyone interested in buy it when I finally do relocate?

I would replace the Supra Turbo and C4 Vette with the 94-96 Honda Prelude VTEC and the e39 5 series BMW
The Supra Turbo costs as much as a used Ferrari now -it’s out of everyone’s range and over hyped for what it is-give me an NSX or Ferrari Spyder if I’m spending that kind of $
The C4 is super uncomfortable in normal driving conditions-it’s a track car or only smooth roads car period. Lots of cheap parts-rattles a lot etc. Stiff. 96 LS-4 with a 6 speed is a fast car no doubt -nice torque etc ….but it’s not really balanced
When it comes to best user older cars in this era (one of the best eras) I’m about 2 things first -balance and feel and mix that with dependability.
The 94-96 Honda Prelude VTEC is one of the best feeling cars ever -looks amazing and is super dependable. Funner and better feeling and looking car than the 5th Gen.
E39 BMW 5 series are easy to work on, have impeccable feel and balance, look great and can be had for good $. Interiors are stunning.

I hate newer cars. I am ready to buy restored cars at an action, even classics/muscle, and just drive them. I could sell it to a restoration guy in 5 years, and buy another. I like to drive too. All this green regulation is destroying everything we built, and putting prices for a new car out of reach. Even a dirt bike is over 10 grand today, because of regulation/interference in our markets). I bought brand new bikes as a kid in the 70's making $1.00/hr part time while going to JH and High School. I hate unions, but I would love to see a union of consumers and manufactures telling the regulators/dictators to go pack sand.

I had a 99 Miata in the same green. I wanted more power so I sold it to buy an 04 Mazdaspeed MX5 (turbocharged from the factory). Then I added a lot of aftermarket parts so it puts out about 200 whp. Miatas are "momentum" cars meaning they don't have to surrender as much speed in the corner as more powerful cars do. I watched two Miatas go around the track at Road Atlanta four seconds faster than a Corvette Grand Sport with 500 hp (modified).

Just recently bought a 1994 Miata M Edition with matching hard top from California with no rust for 5,300. Both make me smile equally in different ways:) Now about that Supra...;)

Ah yes, the 1996 era LT1 V8 from GM. That is such a recognizable sound. I had a 1996 Buick Roadmaster that was the best vehicle I ever owner. It got me through college and it never, ever broke on me. I remember when Hurricane Ike rocked Houston and we were out of power for two weeks. I wound up sleeping in that car overnight. I just idled it, turned on the AC, and got into the backseat and slept. I remember waking up once and the windows were frosted over from the AC and the floor was burning hot to the touch from the exhaust. What a car. I cried when I finally got rid of it. This video brings back memories.
