I remember being introduced to The Wire, and was told I may struggle through Season 2, but the Sobotka arc and the Ziggy storyline were tragic and well developed.
Season 2 is excellent.
And its very important to the overall arc of the whole show

Excellent! It really shows how Valchek was just a kid on a playground who was playing a nasty, but childish, grudge. He wanted to see Soptka hurt but he didn’t want anyone to get murdered over it. I love how the Wire does this. Even the villains are human, no antagonist is without sympathy or at least some degree of humanity.

Man this was the best season, Frank was the most interesting character on the whole series for me
Season 2 caught a bad rap when it first came out because of the dramatic shift in focus but at the end of the day, it’s an amazing season.
It’s the weakest season but that’s not saying much because every season is phenomenal, bad dreams has to be one of the best wire episodes ever

The buildup for the second season took way too long but it was still pretty good. I feel a season like that is more enjoyable watching a second time than the first.
