Hi Devin, I love learning the histories of plants, and stories of the plant hunters... like David Hinckley, John Bertram, etc. etc. a A wonderful book I read recently is Founding Gardeners by Andrea Wolfe, it was fun learning how passionate Washington, Jefferson and Adams were, almost more than framing a new democracy! Another tidbit, check out beautiful Franklinia alatamata... thx for an interesting video! 🌿🌱
Fun fact, Roberto is the brother to Walter Burle Marx, the famous pianist/composer/conductor who passed away in 1990 in Akron, OH. I have a prayer plant Burle Marxii :)
I was surprised to see you planted in soil with the roots so small. I always heard the roots should be about 2” long before planting. This is good to know!
I just recd 2 great Burle max clippings I plan on growing them in LECA Should I also use a very small pot to get them root bound? My plans are to get them up onto moss poles Nice presentation
Interesting video I’ve never seen the Burle marx. I have the philodendron sharoniae Mosquera and philodendron crystallinum can you do a video on those. I also have micans and recently got one the leaves look same as micans velvet texture but the leaves get much larger. I got if from a seller visiting from Ecuador. I think it’s a melanochrysum 🤔💚🪴
Ooooh the melanochrysum is awesome! I’ll have to make a video on the micans, I have a large plant of it. You’d love adding burle Marx to your collection
Love that you talked about the man and showed pics from the book!
He was incredible!!
I always love the terracotta pots, and your sansevieria looks great by the sofa.
Hi!! Thank you for watching!!
Great info on the history of the plant! Different than what others do!

I bought a few cuttings off FB Marketplace just today and that's why I'm here ❤😊

Ooooh wow sounds like an awesome book! I actually saw a Franklinia tree in bloom about 6 weeks ago!
So every time i cut propagations with Ariel roots and put them in water the airiel root tends to rot. Am i doing something wrong?
Maybe try cutting the aerial roots off first, that’s normally how I do it
Funny how some plants have to be root bounded to grow really well I didn't even know that, thanks for the info.
Especially the tropicals! They live in such a competitive envirnonment
