Neil Finn is absolutely incredible. Great songwriter and vocalist. I'd recommend "World Where You Live", "Weather With You" or "Four Seasons in One Day."

Great band. Great song writing. Great catalog. Underrated band from the 80's.
Crowded House. Neil Finn is on my top five list of great songwriters. This was my band in the 80s and 90s, like, I stopped everything when they were on the radio or the stereo. This song became incredibly presonal to me. It came out at a time when my marriage was crashing for the reasons illustrated in the song, so it was like they were reading my mail. Now and then, a song does that to you... thanks for reacting to this. Hey, how about some more? Distant Sun would be awesome. There are a lot of choices, actually. Hard to pick
You're right, there are dozens of GREAT Crowded House songs. Distant Sun is certainly one of them. I also love Into Temptation. So DARK! Saw the band live in the late 80s or early 90s ... fantastic show and so much fun!
One of my favorite bands and so much fun to see them in concert- they ran around the stage and swapped instruments and kept playing.
The most powerful version of this song that I've seen is on the 2005 Aria Awards. Neil sings it acoustically in tribute to late bandmate Paul Hester 🎶🎵 Beautifully done 💚

I love Crowded House and Neil Finn. I've seen him numerous times live, he's a very nice person. Recommend "Fingers of Love" and "Into Temptation" from Crowded House. The song "Silent House" is so beautiful, I can hardly listen without crying.

I met Tim abt 20yrs ago at the airport and chatted for 15mins and what a lovely human ❤️
I bought this album having already been told it wasn't very good because I had to have this song. It's so gorgeous and moving. The band even referred to this album as "Mediocre Second Album." That's often the case, but this song is an album by itself.
The album ‘Temple Of Low Men’ is fantastic. I mean, it has this song and “Into Temptation”.
Temple of Low Men is actually my favourite Crowded House album. I love EVERY song on it. It's brilliant!
before crowded house neil finn was in the band split enz whose hits "i got you" and "6 months in a leaky boat" are fantastic songs you should check out, harri!

Only Neil Finn was from New Zealand. The other two in the original lineup (shown in this video) was Paul Hester and Nick Seymour who are from Australia. The band is considered an Australian one since they formed in Melbourne in 1985.
Considered by some as Australian. Te Awamutu in the lyrics and the writer is from New Zealand. The keyboards in this song is done by a New Zealander too ))
