Dedication can be improved if you want so. Some people are born with natural talent, so they don't need to put too much effort in their life. On my side, dedication and hard work are the only way to counterbalance the lack of a "martial gift", and at the end of the day it's way more satisfying, 'cause you worked your soul off to achieve some result. MUCH nicer than mine, but I completely agree with your entire concept of small and personal. It is not a "dojo", though (Japanese), but rather a "kwoon" (Chinese). Having trained both with Shaolin and Japanese/Okinawan styles, it's important to help people understand the difference.
