Wow! I've been searching for a video like this for ages! I'm only 20, but years down the road after I complete my martial arts training I plan on opening up a martial arts studio in my future backyard and giving lessons for free on the weekends (maybe even teaching almost every day after I retire from my future full-time job). You have literally built my dream backyard martial arts studio. Amazing video man!

James, thank you for your kind message. I really hope you will go through this humble mission of yours, as it sounds you have the warrior spirit and the clearest ideas in your mind. Start designing it on paper: that is the most satisfying part. I wish you the best. Fabio Zambelli

I designed an ideal dojo for fun. I placed it on a hill with 3 sets of 36 stairs(108 total) that lead to the dojo.
    It was a fun project.

Building a kwoon at your home is the best thing any serious Martial artist teacher can do because not only do you cut any overheads but you can craft it the way you want to.Well done my Kung fu brother. I am in the throes of revamping my home based school. Hoping to be finished by feb 2025.
I will also try and post an inspirational video like this.

This is incredible. You don’t pay yourself enough credit. But to do so would be unwarrior like. Your master would be proud. I desire to be as creative and dedicated as you.

    • @martialartsexplained-real
      @martialartsexplained-real  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Grazie Horacebury. With this Dojo I wanted to prove that Martial Arts are not just fighting skills, but the ability to challenge ourselves under all human aspects - and creativity is one of them -. Dedication can be improved if you want so. Some people are born with natural talent, so they don't need to put too much effort in their life. On my side, dedication and hard work are the only way to counterbalance the lack of a "martial gift", and at the end of the day it's way more satisfying, 'cause you worked your soul off to achieve some result. Thanks again. Fabio Zambelli

MUCH nicer than mine, but I completely agree with your entire concept of small and personal.
It is not a "dojo", though (Japanese), but rather a "kwoon" (Chinese). Having trained both with Shaolin and Japanese/Okinawan styles, it's important to help people understand the difference.

Love your journey man. Where are you from? I’m in San Diego and I’ve done a similar project. I don’t want to have the standard MMA Gym or Dojo. I’ve gone through 3 complete change arounds in my same studio. It keeps evolving as I go. We should chat!

Thank you Jing Shen Kuoshu, I am Italian but I built my Dojo in Australia. I agree with you: never build a standard gym/dojo: it must adapt end evolve according to your goals, the disciplines you teach and the feeling you want your Students to have.

Fabio Zambelli

I have my own karate and fitness club in Phuket island in Thailand,
I’m from Sydney Australia your mate ,
My question is how did you write on the piece of wood? Did you write by burning pen or paint? Or hand craft? It’s really nice and beautiful, I have a lot of wood and bamboo around my gym in Phuket but I don’t know how to write ✍️ on the wood . Could you please give me some ideas ?
    Thank you very much.
