Anytime someone has a really toxic belief it's a reasonably safe bet that they're just projecting.
"Women are shallow and only want the best of the best" = "I am shallow and only want the best of the best" (ask these guys what type of women they want and it'll become clear)
"Women have no empathy and are incapable of love" = "I have no empathy and am incapable of love" (ask these guys literally anything about any woman in any painful situation and watch as they try to find some way to spin it into the situation being the girl's fault)
      etc etc.

When people say "weed isn't addictive" they almost always don't understand that is referring to physical addiction that causes death. It is 100% easy to become habitually addicted to smoking in general. There is a reason its called chronic.

These kinda podcast and creators will never help you find fullfilling relationships. If you want a different girl every night then fine, but its weird that they bash women if they sleep around. If you wanna make a podcast that encourages men to better themselves and also have more influence over women than fine, but if a woman wants to do the same podcast for women then shes a misandrist. If a woman starts an Onlyfans she's just cheating weak men out of money, but you can skip paying taxes cause youre smart enough to cheat a system out of your contribution. Now both men and women have these bad influences that dont foster healthy relationships. The tagline of "Women are ruining the nuclear family... so heres how you sleep with 10 women" should be a sign that these people dont care about traditional values. These people say theyre teaching people to be their best self but how can you do that if you teach them to hate commitment and responsibility.

I think saying "how smart are you ever at 23?" is more than a little bit of lazy assessment. I'm a month older than Sneako, this is not normal behavior for me or my peer groups. To me, Sneako sounds like a teenager. Regardless, your perspective absolutely is dismissive of intellectual capabilities of people that age. Yes, I understand people gain my life knowledge with age, but this sets a very low bar for young adults. You're always going to be smarter with age. By this logic, a 50-year-old can just excuse the actions the 30-year-olds Fresh and Fit. In relation, they're young and dumb compared to the 50-year-old. You're viewing this through the lens of your age while being completely unaware that you're doing so. Let's not normalize the bad behavior in young adults by marginalizing their agency.

    • @RestlessTome
      @RestlessTome 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Totally untrue. Age is only one factor among many that influence your intelligence and wisdom. There are plenty of older people who have done little soul searching or have undertaken pretty much no self-reflection, and a good number of younger folks who have had to learn fast and become wiser quickly. You'll say these are exceptions, but I would disagree. The numbers of these ''rare cases'' are high enough for such a generalization to be too simplistic.
Steven also tends to generalize a lot about these sorts of topics. I understand why, though.

    • @timothyonime8199

@@RestlessTome Exactly, Papa Gut does a similar thing. Let's let bad things be bad things. If they're old enough to legally drink, we don't need to handle them with kiddie gloves. Sneako overtalks people, screams like a banshee, diminishes, questions men's masculinity. The moment anyone returns that energy (to a lesser extent), he gets triggered. So, now we have a situation where Sneako can speak with near impunity (specifically in the way he constructs his arguments, because I know he gets his content banned sometimes), and everyone has to try to intelligently and carefully engage with him.

I’m surprised Destiny didn’t describe clinginess as desperate, that’s why it’s a turn off for anyone. People have different thresholds for how attached their partner can get before it starts feeling clingy but sex isn’t the common denominator there, attachment style is. Likewise the opposite end of the spectrum, distant/avoidant, is also a turn off for most people at a certain point

    • @moonknight4053
      @moonknight4053 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Clinginess is you wanting to talk or be around ur partner and if they find that too much then it’s clinginess. If not, that’s okay, enjoy life together.

    • @Cbawls

Even if someone was “not attatched” after having sex for the first time, avoidence IS a reaction to attatchment. Its biology to become attatched after sex. You only become more desensitized the more you do it. So I disagree, I think sex IS the common denominator

It's a sad thought that young people get increasingly lonely and are unable to find genuine love and connection. You can tell by watching people like Sneako and Fresh and Fit that these people and probably most of their followers have never experienced real intimacy and romance.
We as a society should make every effort to help young people connect in the real world again, because shared experiences are the best foundation to build such relationships and friendships. I just don't know how with social media having the pull that it does...

I've been looking more and more for the "kernels of truth" in these redpill rants and podcasts in general, and the problem is they exist in more abundance than most people who disagree with redpill would like to admit. So much so that it's kind of scary, because 10 years ago I might see those kernels of truth, and then take the rest of the content as gospel as well. They mix common personal experiences with generalizations so fluidly, and it appeals to someone looking for answers that they claim to be giving. Until a blue pill analogue that acknowledges some redpill truths exists on a large enough scale, I think this generation of men on the internet might become increasingly red/blackpilled on women, becoming incels or worse because they can't apply the solutions given by redpillers to their own lives.

The reason why red/blackpill is pinging these young boys because they're growing up with some sort of abuse and or trauma. They're trying to find love and express they sexuality and getting flak for it. The "blue" pill is weird about how they address problems. They too often call redpill/alpha dudes weird. Yet a lot of them are ironically "alpha" themselves due to the parasocial connections with their own fanbase. Blue pill/Leftists have been just as if not more toxic as other side. Especially, when it comes to how they treated Destiny. Red side maybe kinda dirt bags yet you can easily avoid them. Blue side seeming like to backstab you the moment you don't agree. The Kimmel skit was decently funny, I agree. The monologue was horrible though, but that is par for the course with Kimmel (truly never understood why people watch him).
The main thing I think is weird is how people are surprised by how game streaming is a thing. Watching games while not playing it yourself has been a thing since the dawn of time. And a more social version of that is just hooking in some talkshow or radioshow vibes. How could anyone not see that is something like that might be popular?

never got that either. How hard can it be to understand the appeal in watching people perform tests of strategy and reflexes against some of the best in the world when you´d never question the legitimacy of watching a guy kick a ball? Feels like everything you´d bring up to justify the latter you can say about the former. I understand not getting the younger generation sometimes, but here it´s like you´d have to actively try really hard to not make this connection.

@@mekullag it's because video games are so accessible. People watch pro sports partly for a team/community reason but also because they are watching things they are physically incapable of doing themselves, and which aren't that easy to participate in.
Like most people cannot come close to doing a serve like a pro tennis player. Not only that, but they probably aren't that close to a tennis court, and don't have anyone to play against if they are. All that stuff takes way more effort to do than turning on a TV with a game of tennis.
Video games on the other hand are mostly designed to be easy enough to pick up and start playing. If you're watching a Fotnite stream then you probably can just play Fotnite yourself immediately at home.
And that's just for competitive games, where you can say it's like sports and you just like to follow top players or see the best people at it. But a huge amount of streaming isn't even that, it's people playing single player games by themselves, or playing multilayer but not that well or competitively. If you compare that to traditional sports, it would be like broadcasting a guy just throwing a baseball with a stranger in his garden, which would probably be equally bemusing to boomers. L

@@krombopulos_michael Thank you for taking the time to make a few counterpoints. It at least helps me understand why people who haven´t really thought about the issue might think the way they do.
But I still don´t think it makes sense. At least once someone actually thinks about it, they should be able to see all the parallels to watching sport on the TV and even many advantages that watching a stream has.
F.e.: the community thing to me is far more pronounced on streaming platforms, as the chat function supplies anything from real conversations between small groups to the feeling of being part of a huge crowd screaming and cheering in a stadium (of course it less than that, but my point is there are big communities that you can really feel a part of). Same goes for the team thing, most big video game streamers are members of pro teams, but the difference is I´ll never be able to interact with Christiano Ronaldo by shouting my opinion from the sidelines while he´s training. Even if I spent a few bucks on a beer just prior.
The connection between streamers and watchers is so much more intense than between football fans and athletes that parasocial interactions are incredibly common. If that´s a good thing or not is a different question, but it certainly explains why people might actually be far more engaged watching a Fortnite stream than a football match: It´s not like watching a random guy throw a ball in his backyard, it´s like meeting your friends.
The big streamers who are not particularly good are all entertainers, a better comparison to why people watch them might be listening to radio personalities. They might just be especially funny or smart or both and discuss things you care about (in this case your favorite games).
Playing a game yourself also comes with a greater amount of stress, time commitment and attention. Many people who´d watch Markiplier play 1000 indie horror games wouldn´t touch one themselves because they wouldn´t be able to enjoy it. With any online game you have to be prepared to encounter griefing and bullying, enemies taunting you and allies blaming you for a loss. Not everyone wants to deal with that. You can also leave a stream at any moment, but not your online game in which maybe a bunch of team members are doomed to lose if you did. You can watch someone play League while you´re on the toilet, cooking, cleaning, doing your homework, but you couldn´t play yourself. In short I really think there are tons of reasons why people might not be able or want to just play a game themselves.

I think my problem with discussions around substances is that everyone has a unique relationship with them. And everyone has a different definition of what addiction is.
For some people smoking weed provides numerous therapeutic benefits that is a net positive improvement in their well-being, functioning, etc.
But there are also other people who find weed has the inverse effect-- and becomes problematic in that the negatives begin to outweigh the positives, whether due to unsustainable habits or because it never really provided much more to the person than recreation.
So you end up with 2 groups. One group swears by weed, says it does so many amazing things for them, and then there's group two who says weed is just addictive and causes harm. The two groups had two fundamentally different experiences with the drug so it's really hard to reconcile the two. I think its important to not discount anyone's experience with marijuana, we shouldnt hand wave it away as a vice or addiction, or to do the same by saying it's harmless and you're just overreacting if you have a hard time with it. Both experiences are completely valid and real.
Everybody's body and brain chemistry is super different, so the way certain substances like marijuana interact with us is going to be generally different for some groups of folkw to the next. This is why for one person marijuana makes them more productive, creative, happier, more calm and focused, and for someone else it turns them into an anxious or depressed mess, or someone with zero motivation to do anything, or makes them fixate on things that ultimately take away their ability to be productive or interact with others meaningfully.
I think we tend to go to either extreme too often when we discuss substances. It's either this miracle drug that cures everything and its all overblown, or it's this thing that destroys your life and turns you into a loser.
I dislike either extreme. I don't think we should ban or massively restrict access to recreational drugs like marijuana, but I also think we should be careful about how we provide access to these things and how we market them, or talk about them. You should never tell someone "you NEED to use marijuana it'll improve your life so much, it will do this and this and this", it should be "You should look into marijuana and do your research before trying it, just be mindful that its not for everyone and that you should be aware of the risk of dependency and other negative effects it might have, its not a miracle drug."
We should be more measured in the way we present things like that. I think that's where we're running into issues... we're sometimes pressuring people into using marijuana and trying to convince them its so amazing and we gas it up so much that we have too many people that it doesn't really benefit who are using it, when id prefer that people make a very informed and conscious decision to use it. And I'd like it if we provided more education on how to *responsibly* use marijuana.

I think the reason for clingy being a strongest turn-off is that it's a magnifier for all other problems that a person may have. E.g. if a person is an asshole or super manipulative, as long as they are not clingy, you can just slip away from them easily as/when needed. But let's say you meet a person and they're absolutely perfect but clingy: now you're in a position where you have to bet that you instantly after meeting know everything about them, because otherwise any unknown but negative thing will be only magnified by clinginess. Any other negative you can usually temporarily tolerate as you figure out if there's other negatives.

I think the issue with weed is that probably the reason people feel miserable without it is because that is their normal state. Their life was miserable to start with, and they didn't know it until they had some cannabis. It's like pain. If you take a drug to reduce pain, you go off it, and start to feel pain that doesn't mean the drug caused the pain. The pain was first. Of course some drugs can be addictive, but we have to be careful about confusing a problem with the solution.

They are from a dwarnistic perspective because they are operating in the best interest of their genes, female animals (mammals, some birds are like this and many coparent specifically the monomorphic ones) typically engage in more preservative behavior since eggs are expensive and sperm is cheap.
95% of all animals (specifically mammals, for other animals it can be reversed or non existent since they just pop em out and walk off) , the sex that disproportionately does it are the females. This is still true in human beings. So perhaps the word "selfish" rubs people the wrong way, a better concept is self preservative behavior.
Men die alot( in comparison to women) because there gametes create a hormonal profile and behavior set that dispose them to taking risk, so it's not that men are "less selfish" it's that they are less preservative.
Hence why more women on the planet are single parents than men, in theory he can go and make a disproportionate amount more offspring than a woman. Depending on the environment one option becomes more feasible than another. It wouldn't be as adaptive if he cared as much as she did, she has to care more about her offspring hence why nature is riddled with mostly single mothers. Again because eggs are expensive and females typically (mammals and some birds, although birds have more variation) invest more in their offspring (gestating them, setting on the egg etc).
So for all the folks saying "are y'all saying father's don't care about their children?
No, what they really mean is Dad's typically have lower investment. It's the reason Dad's are far more likely to let their children explore environments without being as anxious as women. E.g the dad throws his around more often than mothers and this has been found in every cutlture on the planet, less anxious about letting them explore more (which is a double edge sword, hence why mom's typically feminine temperament exist. The same has to be true even for gay parents one of them has a more anxious temperment while the other tends to worry about much).
This is the same reason why women are disprotionately more anxious than the males of the species, and why dudes disprotionately engage in agentive behavior e.g crime, wars, crazy driving maneuvers, dying while doing dumb shit, more likely to engage in physical confrontation, one of the reasons school shooters and shooters in general are near exclusively male, the people most likely to be successful at suicide, the person most likely to attack you unprovoked etc.
It all comes from the same place, it would only seem selfish from someone losing something as the expense of the other party's self preservative behavior. The guys who get upset at this don't understand what they are actually looking it, so they take it personally.

I recommend trying to do it with randoms as well sometimes, because even though there are always going to be some people who are stubborn and don't want to work together, I believe that most people do prefer someone else in a leadership role. Though it's important that you understand the basics of what you should be doing, otherwise you will be getting better at leading the wrong way.

I’m sorry but the “conventions are specifically for men” got me. That’s actually hilarious. What the fuck kind of logic is that 🤣

I love how at around the 1:47:00 mark, Fresh is going on his racial profiling rant saying that despite it being unfair, he “doesn’t give a fuck” and he “adapts”. Then Sneako goes on about complacency (bad) vs ambition (good), completely forgetting that Fresh just made the most complacent rant possible seconds earlier.

      Nope.
It is admiting that field is muddy and yes there is a lot of stones. So you can either stand there like a bitch and cry that you cannot play or man up and play anyway.

Destiny has zero authority on this subject. Dudes bi, has a "open relationship" and left a kid in a whole other state. No bro, stick to politics and leave the politics of stable relationships to others.

Just because he has open marriage, doesn't mean his point weren't valid. Also Destiny is actually in a marriage, so his advice is maybe more valid than these three bozos. Sneako had open relationship too so does that count him out.

@@crimsonking7179 Wait how does being in a relationship validate your advice? Some of the best advice comes from people that have been in relationships and are now single -- they know both sides of the coin, good and the bad. There are also plenty of miserable people in relationships or being leveraged in abusive situations whether they're overt or covert in nature. That's a very simplistic view of validating good advice versus bad

@@crimsonking7179 "Open marriage" is an oxymoron. Marriage is literally a vow of loyalty and duty, or it used to be until feminism and liberalism started to be valued over religion. If your woman wants to date (get her back blown out) other guys, the relationship is over. One day you will understand.

41:55 This notion left out another sect of people entirely: the people that have been single and have had LTR's, but have figured they enjoy being single more. I've had some great LTR's (also some rough times of course) but as I got closer to 30, I realized how much I enjoy a lot of the perks of being single. No obligations, more money, freedom to get up and explore the world when I want to, and I find casual dating to be adventurous and fun in a way because I enjoy meeting new people regularly.

As a heavy cannabis user that uses to quell pain, it definitely can be addictive, even if it's just a psychological addiction, and not physical.
I struggle to go more than 2 days without it.
I've had a major spinal fusion due to scoliosis and kyphosis, base of my neck to a few inches above my hips. Eating becomes impossible, as my dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) flares up when I don't smoke. I can't sleep because the muscle spasms in my back start up, putting me in debilitating pain, and when I'm in pain, I'm just an angry person, prone to snapping at people.
Again, cannabis definitely can be addictive. I wish I could stop using it, but it's either cannabis or opiates, and, I'd rather not go that route...

@Destiny in my experience women like versatility, they sometimes really want you to be clingy, and want you to text back and be around. and sometimes it’s super fucking annoying and unattractive, I feel like this swings both ways with men and women. the biggest problem is trying to balance it in a way that specific ppl are used to, some women are more dependent and want a guy who’s more attached and vice versa. it’s about really reading the other person imo.

I don’t think age has anything to do with it, I think people wane and wax naturally based on circumstances in their life and look to their partner for support. it’s why men cuddle in the morning at the zenith of their hormone cycle, and women are clingier when their about to ovulate.

@@richardhands904 people also like to reach for their partner when something bad happens like they got hurt, or their dog died. And I think always being distant, or always doing everything in your power to not seem clingy is stupid and isn’t how relationships usually work imo.
