Valve's newest game, a MOBA, is in very early acesss. While the matchmaking might be currently down, we decided to jump in to match with other players and team up against bots. Here's a full gameplay match of Deadlock.
Seeing all these negative comments is hilarious. Like bro, its a Bot match. Its actually really fun ive given invites to all my friends. The gameloop is fun, the combat is solid, and its very polished. To top it all off the game is in EARLY playtest. This isnt even the release version. For it to be this well made before its even a finished product is amazing.

So, a game that hasn't been released, hasn't been marketed, has barely been spoken about in mainstream and needs you to go into forums and hope that somebody gives you a key, has 100x the players than Concord (a $250 million dollar AAA release). Its a Moba, your classes can be upgraded in the match, "souls"/gold/money is used to give yourself unique attacks, Its a MOBA... and a lot more. There are a lot of valid criticisms here, but the take you posted was so dumb, everyone here has lost 14 points for hearing it.
Maybe a spiritual successor because at any given time, valve usually has one serious shooter and one wacky one. Tf2 -> Deadlock, cs:go -> cs2. But other than their tone, no they're quite different gameplay wise
@@WillemDefoe The fact that this is a MOBA and you need the HUD to know what's going on. This isn't a casual COD multiplayer game, you need as much info as possible.
The positives: This character with the hot finger gun is awesome and flicking the hand to reload is great! Also, the rail system. The negatives: pretty much everything else....unfortunately...
it actually gets very fast with the right build and characters, you can very well double your movement speed by the late game not to mention all the insane movement tech people are discovering
It looks way better than concord but unless you like hero shooters or mobas this most likely won't be as popular as other valve games cause it doesn't look very casual and quite a bit to learn
Well a game really can unappealing if you don't understand anything what you see, its like watching a LOL/Dota game when never touch a MOBA in your life but as a 3rd person shooter the movement is more closer Warframe which is really fun specially when your chasing down or being chased by other players
why are people calling this a overwatch killer??? its two different game types. This is clearly much more Moba focused and looks more like a LoL killer than a OW killer. Since it is essentially LoL in a modern setting and thirdperson over the shoulder.
Esports and single player games are a completely different market. You see stuff like this in IGN people would just instantly dislikes it. Whereas in shroud's channel the reception is going to be way more positive.

pre-alpha this is just playtest basically testing out gameplay mechanics . most the assets are just repurposed from half-life alyx.
