EA discussed this subject in 2022 saying it will come after UFC5 if it does. UFC5 Released in 2023 and it takes a minimum 5 years to make a AAA game now. Which means even at the earliest start of 2022 a new boxing game is a 2027 release.
This doesn't look like the leap beyond Fight Night that it should. Il

If you have high expectations, you will be sorely disappointed. Read the Steam reviews, it has been in early access since forever. It's a very boring game, nowhere near Fight Night. Just know what you might be getting into before voting with your wallet.

The majority of the budget went to the license of the boxers.

Yes, from someone who plays the game, You need a boxer with good accuracy to cut the face faster. Example: Sugar Ray Robinson is very good at cutting the face of the opponent, whereas someone like Ryan Garcia, takes along time to cut someone.
They need to add a cut or face damage system to make it more interesting.
2 generations after Fight Night and it looks no better.

The game developer said in an interview that Floyd wants $10 million to put him in the game. The developer said that's impossible to do.
Andrew Ward said he wanted a stock on the whole game. So they didnt put him in it either. Some boxers are overpricing themselves out unfortunately

Robes is something they have to implement later 100% for immersion. But gameplay is number 1 priority for me

@Mocha5694 they might surprise everyone before launch with robes but anyone who interviews them needs to ask these specific questions before launch. Robes, referee, knockdown animations etc
