I did Soaring at Disney World in Orlando when I was 8. They had shots going over california, and we were of course really high up. I thought then if our shoes fell off they would fall into California.
Went to Disney World for our honeymoon in November... even with a whole week at our dispense we still didn't do everything we wanted but definitely the happiest place on Earth. Epcot is still my favorite but gotta say Pandora in the Animal Kingdom was dope as hell. If anyone likes Soarin' the Avatar ride blows it out of the water!
Hopefully you can go to Disney World one day! The size of the park alone is something that everybody should see. Its easily bigger than cities like Regina/Saskaton.
Soaring’ is mostly live action shots, they do augment it with some CGI. Big Thunder Mountain is one of our faves. But it’s a LOT smoother than it once was. It used to be quite rough. You’d definitely have lost it on the old version.
We used to go all the time when my dad used to work for Disney. I regret being a scared kid because I recently went back for grad night and had so much fun. Glad you enjoyed your time and Disneyland! You deserved this trip for all the work you do for the other channel!

Roller coaster and hockey aficionado here! Glad you're having a great time at the happiest place on Earth! A couple of your comments caught my attention and I'd like to add to those: The first comment being about Soarin' - you have a good eye! Soarin' Around the World mixes real footage with some CGI elements for every scene EXCEPT the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal scene is completely CGI due to Disney not having clearance to fly around the real Taj Mahal. The second comment being about Roller Coaster Tycoon. The game was not created by someone in the industry rather a madman programmer (like seriously, who codes an entire game in Assembly besides Chris Sawyer?) gathered an interest in roller coasters and theme parks, and decided to make a game about them. However, the industry is beginning to hire people who were inspired by the game. I wouldn't be surprised if we start to see RCT Easter Eggs littered throughout parks in the near future.
If you get a chance (much longer trip), Disney World in Orlando is an incredible experience, getting 4 different parks plus Disney Springs is way more Disney than Disneyland
You should try the other theme parks in the LA area. If you decide to fly from Vegas to here, fly into BUR since it's much nicer than LAX and it is close to Universal studios
Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates, are the MUST DO rides when my family goes to Disney. Big Thunder being nice if there isn't too much of a wait, but my wife's not as much a fan as I am (I went on it as a kid so I love re-living it) now knowing your tummy issues you might want to skip space mountain though the rest should be fine
I hate having a nervous stomach/motion sickness. I'm not afraid of heights but coasters and car rides every now and then decide to affect my body. Maybe it's our ears, not evenly balanced or something like that?
Glad you’re having fun Shannon but word of advice Disneyland is probably going to be a NIGHTMARE on Christmas and I say probably because I haven’t been to Disneyland in California only Disney World in Florida but if the crowds are anywhere close to what they are at Disney World in Orlando it is going to be a mad house so I would definitely recommend doing some research on crowd sizes that time of year before deciding on going back over Christmas. That’s just my experience and my recommendation like I said I’ve never been to Disneyland only Disney World and Disney World that time of year is insanity my friend waited 3 hours in line for 1 ride that’s how crazy the crowds are and so if Disneyland is anything like that I would recommend sticking to Vegas lol
Never been to Disneyland, but despise Disney world. Even when enjoying free admission, didn’t want to be there. Insanely long lines for underwhelming rides. Universal studios is good, in Orlando. Harry Potter world is amazing. You can ck out a Panthers or lighting game, or try Carowinds in North Carolina and go to a Canes game.
I fit mine in the overhead but then again it was a domestic flight. If there are any issues with the blade make sure to call Disney services they will make it right. Hopefully it will be fine.

The millennium falcon ride sounds like an old back to the future Ride they used to be at Universal in Orlando probably 30 years ago. Also Epcot had a ride like that involving flying through the human body. Definitely big signs saying if you have neck, back or motion sickness issues that it’s not for you.
Next time you go to a theme park, you should get yourself some motion sickness wristbands. Not the magnetic ones, the ones that push on a pressure point in your wrist. They help quite a bit with the nausea.
My only suggestion if you do decide to come back in December for the Holidays, It will be very very crowded Packed to the gills as I like to call it. That is the busiest time of the year for park attendance so just be prepared for maximum wait times and Alot of people in both parks... And yes Small World is a big no no Never ride it...

You may get more out of Disney World it is massive compared to Disneyland with a lot more to do I think you would get more enjoyment from Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom then you would from California Adventure.
I refused to go for grad night. I had much more fun when I went to Knott's Berry Farm in 5th grade. Of course I rode Ghostrider and it was terrifying and I kinda want to do it again.
I find Disneyland really enjoyable, but the ticket prices are ridiculous.

If you ever find yourself back there... Go to Animal Kingdom and do the Avatar Ride... it's Soarin' on steroids... incredibly immersive.

Also, California Adventures used to be all about Cali, like Soaring was California Soaring (Cali landmarks) but it pretty much Pixar land now.
Indiana Jones Adventure is my favorite. But I enjoy just about every ride and experience at Disneyland
