Not having MJF on Dynamite right after his big return at DoN is certainly one of the choices of all time.
Ikr I looked on their TH-cam channel looking for a promo from MJF or something along those lines and nothing, I was shocked

Your description of the TNT Belt handover was correct. After all the work Christian Cage put into legitimizing it, you don't want to do the fingerpoke of doom. Wish Adam Copeland's run was better. Seemed like a filler, (sorry) Great vid, Shannon.
I liked the original AEW but have cooled off on it as WWE has gotten way better.
AEW is still great to have around and no wrestling fan should wish they went away.
This, I know you shouldn’t listen to online comments but people who wish for the downfall of AEW don’t realize how good it is to have for the industry as a whole

The Casino Gauntlet has real potential to be AEW’s iconic match type. Even if Lucia Underground pretty much did it first.
Las Vegas 3 times a year is a real bad idea AEW is struggling to draw great crowds as we all know and Las Vegas is a traditional will performing wrestling town.
AEW will never get back to average a million again. Cable is down way too much and they would probably have to become the #1 company which isn’t gonna happen any time soon.

while the tv deal is important for the perception of the product, i think ultimately there is no such thing as a budgetary concern for AEW. the Khans are billionaires, they could nearly buy TKO with just Shahids wealth.
When it comes to the TV deal for AEW, I would be shocked if WBD & AEW don't agree on renewing their deal especially since WBD is likely going to be losing the NBA after next season to NBC & is going to desperately need to keep a hold of their remaining sports/entertainment properties outside of the NHL & NASCAR both of which they have long term deals with. However in order to increase PPV ratings/buys & keep the company turning a profit, AEW would likely tell WBD to start putting PPV's on Max in a similar move to what WWE has with Peacock & I am not sure if WBD would be willing to do that given the cuts they have been making in recent years. Outside of WBD, there is little interest in AEW from other media companies either because they don't want wrestling on their networks/streaming services or they have deals with WWE that are more profitable. Because of this, if AEW & WBD can't agree on renewing their deal, AEW's long term future is very uncertain.

Just my opinion what i like and what i dont like. Right: Longer matches, less "formulaic", clean finishes, showing records on entrance, subtle face/heel turns, picture in picture, less promos, bringing in international stars, titles are meaningful wrong; over the top hardcore matches, kick out of three finishers but then lose to a roll up, maybe too many titles, over used spots like exchanging chops, too many aerial moves that are not believable, I would have said the women's division 3 months ago but its picked up, because of the long matches not enough guys get matches on TV
aint no way you said titles r meaningful when theres close to 20 different champions, including several duplicate divisions
@@botchamaniajeezus well i also said there are too many titles. But the championship reigns have been well done, Swerve, Joe, MJF. People like to compare them now with WCW, but with WCW the titles were just a prop and they were changed weekly.
There are no over the top hardcore matches on TV. They have weapons and blood but the major stuff they save for the PPV (which is fine) whatever you want to admit it or not: People like edginess to their matches and don’t want to see sports entertainment garbage that WWE puts out.
BTW titles are meaningful? That’s the biggest problem with AEW as they’re not. The promotion basically acknowledges every title under the sun (AEW, ROH, NJPW and now CMLL) and AEW has way too many titles to begin with, there now rendered meaningless. That’s actually one of the biggest problems the company has (outside of scattergun booking and poor leadership)
I have to say, AEW lost a lot of appeal for me when Cody left. Like it's his baby and even he wants to be elsewhere? It made the whole company look like a joke, and then the CM Punk debacle. Just kind of lost me.
I wouldn’t say WWE learned its lesson; they just don’t do hardcore matches that often. They usually save the hose type of matches for PPVs but they still do them.
As in regard to WWE working with other promotions, until Vince ruined that that used to be the norm in wrestling. Territories working together, proving talent and so forth.
He’ll if Vince Sr wanted a top guy in another promotion he would get them because WWF always paid well and it’s was tge biggest territory in terms of major market.
In order to cushion the blow for the losing territory, he would give them Andre or another top star to work there for a month so business in that territory wouldn’t take a huge dip and it would give time to create another top guy so cooperation was always there in the territories.
As for Dynamite. It was a fine show. Crowd was actually vocal although I just wish Chris Jericho would retire, that’s all. The Learning Tree BS is trash.

Nobody seems to be mentioning the fact AEW announced the winners of the Owen Hart tournament would get title shots...less than 24 hrs after WWE announced the same for the King and Queen of the ring winners. Lol.

@@nischayseth123 not what I said at all. Neither tournament winner has had official title shots as a perk before this year. Being announced within a day of each other is as coincidental/copycat as wwe/tna crossover is with forbidden door. 🤷♂️
@@drewfarbridge7046What AEW needs to do is copy the Royal Rumble. They have the roster for it & then some. Make it a special Dynamite every yr in June or July with the winner getting a title shot at All In
@@peteg2715Hell, do the Casino Gauntlet Match at Double or Nothing, with the winner getting a World title shot at All In. It is basically the Rumble with pinfalls after all
