Shannon this is why we love you. You are real. These "influencers" won't last (at least I hope.) I think I've said this before either here or on THG, but listening to you is like listening to a knowledgable, entertaining friend. Keep up the great work.

Shannon you never belittle or downgrade players or coaches. I watch tennis and the announcers make fun of some players’ parents. The players cannot control their stage parents. I love how you never laugh at players or the parents. You are respectful to all.
Must have empathy for those who work “It’s A Small World”, who hear that tune how many times per day.

One of my fondest memories is being non verbally "Do You Know Who I Am"ed by a newly elected Provincial Premier. He didn't get his way. King Chuck would have the same luck with me. It doesn't make me mad, that "Do you know who I am" stuff, it makes me laugh, and I take it as an invitation to play.

The whole term "influencer" is stupid for people who do TH-cam, TikTok or Twitch. Content Creator is such a better fitting term
To the point of how fast it can disappear, look at the Neil Gaiman news. I didn't have that on my bingo card this year. And yeah, if he never makes another penny he should be okay financially. But it's hard to say how bad these allegations are going to hurt him. I've seen *tons* of people vowing to never buy any book of his again, just on the merits of what he already admitted to. One day he's the most beloved popular writer in the world, then suddenly he isn't.
And about the mountain lion, there is _one_ thing you can do. Years ago, there was a story where someone came face to face with a mountain lion, and the guy screamed "You want a piece of me!" like Frank Constanza (from Seinfeld), and it confused it long enough for the guy to get away.
You absolutely are an influencer. I started a hockey jersey collection since I started watching your content. I’m up to 25 already. You influenced me to do that.

It's like watching National Geographic with stuff like this. I am so far removed from knowing any influencers, using any social media, etc. I can't believe the stuff you're talking about happens.

I must be an old bone despite being in my late 20s, as I don't use social media other than messaging my family and friends and watching youtube videos. The whole concept of influencer is still baffling to me, like I still don't get how these people get balling and earn big bucks through that.
It's things like this - the whole "influencer" bollocks - that makes me yearn for the days of pre-social media internet. It's so mind numbingly tedious..
I moved from Ottawa to LA, now in Orange County.....I have been to disney more times than I like to admit...mainly because friends and family insist on visiting lol But completely agree with you about leaving on time....these people want to go home...I can only imagine what it's like dealing with tens a thousands of people 5 days a week....
I'll admit it. I've used one of your memes/gifs. But with any luck, it just got you more attention in a good way. These days, a gif or a meme is a sign of making it, as long as people aren't going completely overboard. The whole term "influencer" sounds pretty narcissistic to me, though. Influencing people to what, exactly? I never got it.
I love how the majority of these are basically just "don't be an arrogant criminal." Not even necessarily be a decent person. Tells you a lot about our standards, although I do agree. You don't really have to be a good person really, just don't be a bad person and nobody's really going to have a problem with you.

#11. Chill the hell out. Not everything going on in your life is some grand conspiracy or overly dramatic event. I'm also quite over the "influencer voice" styling. It's like they think the "let's talk at 100 mph with excessive hands and act like we just snorted a line" level of energy keeps people engaged. Sometimes it just makes me wanna vomit.
