First time I've heard this version. Really love it. 'Ride On' has always been special to me. Reminds me of my friend Danny, who passed away in the Fall of '92. Several months after inspiring my lost soul to pursue my dream of being on the radio. Norah's interpretation is really cool.

I love Nora Jones' voice, but this is a dire effort by a woman singing a man's song. I know who he was. Saw AC/DC more than a few times. A couple of times at Colston Hall in Bristol, England in the late 70s. Arriving in Bristol on the first occasion, we went into a nearby jam packed bar. The second they heard our Welsh accents they asked: "Are you here for the concert?" "Yes," we replied, with naive, bright eyed enthusiasm. "Out!!!" So funny after the initial shock! The concert; jumping up and down on the seats with security slamming the backs of our knees to hit us off, Angus - playing one of the first remote guitars - in hat, shorts and pumps, bouncing through the aisles soaked in sweat playing his electrifying solos, and Scott ripping out his raw vocals. Ah, the fun of being young. It lasts but a short time, but is remembered forever. Bon Scott was a great front man of a great band. I never took to Brian Johnson. Not that he was bad, he just wasn't Bon Scott. Back in Black is said to be an album of songs by Johnson. I find it hard to believe. The lyrics are pure Scott, and AC/DC made so few good songs with those kind of lyrics after that album, but perhaps I'm wrong. The UK isn't the same country anymore and the world has changed too.
