It is incredible to behold, but no doubt there are plenty of Shohei haters who can't resist knocking him down, saying Aaron Judge is the MVP and best player in baseball and no one comes even close.
No doubt, Ohtani greatness can only be measured by his to raise the bar for everyone that will follow. This man will never be replicated, and only then will sports appreciate his greatness. The Great One!
Just made history tonight 40/40 in walk-off grand slam fashion! With alittle over a month left of the regular season, 50/50 is definitely reachable. 💙🐐💪🏽
Its amazing to see how Dodger Stadium is full every night, and when they hit the road, its a ton of Dodger fans. They are the new Yankees. Ohtani has to love this. Problem is the Dodgers are being chased by the Padres, and Diamondbacks, and I fear pitching will be their downfall once again come Playoffs.
Think about this. One one hand you have elite level hitters like Yordan, Soto, Devers, Ozuna, Trout, etc. Then you have elite level pitchers like Sale, Snell, Gerrit Cole, etc. Then you have Shohei who can do BOTH. That's insanity.
@@wabio ohtani has one year over 150 innings pitching as a starter that's average at best. Don't disrespect the best pitchers and compare Ohtani to them, he's not a great pitcher he's an average pitcher that gets hyped like he's a cy young candidate
@@TuriSanchez3 Are you kidding me? That's ridiculous. He's much better than average. Pitcher's get hurt. That's what happens. See Sale, Verlander, Cole, McClanahan, Strider.
The problem isn't the fist 6 innings. The issue is that teams don't let starters go MORE than 6 innings, like hardly ever. Even if they're only at 80 pitches. All under the guise of "protecting" them -- while turning a blind eye to the FACT that pitcher injuries have skyrocketed exponentially as a result of that "protection".
pedro martinez & greg maddux were prime examples of legendary pitching...they did not need 100 mph 4-seamers...but were able to utilize both sides of the plate with precision to keep their opponents guessing
The ban on Rose is ridiculous as long as the HOF displays the various bats he used and/or uniforms or balls etc. Either remove anything and everything associated with him or put the plaque honoring him on the wall there to go with the bats etc.
If he is pitching and hitting I agree with you. If he doesn’t pitch, he is an all time great hitter but you can’t argue he is the GOAT as a hitter alone
If Ohtani was white, he'd be praised like Jordan ad Messi. Not to say he isn't recognized and loved by many but it'd be crazier if he were of a different race.

They should give each team 2 free pitching changes, then every pitching change afterwards players on base gets to move up a base including the current batter. Coaches would have to think more about when to change pitchers and would less likely spam pitchers.
Great stuff! Thanks for some excellent chat on baseball. Two cents on the HOF: time to let the Pete and the great players who brought baseball back to life after the strikes of 1981 and 1994 into Cooperstown. It is now ludicrous that Rose, Bonds, Clemens, McGwire, Sosa and many others are not enshrined at Cooperstown already. Oh, and Shoeless Joe deserves a spot as well. Thanks again!
IF OHTANI FOCUSED ON HITTING BEING A ONE WAY PLAYER/ HITTER. HE’D BE BETTER THAN ANYONE. SAME WAY IF HE FOCUSED ON PITCHING. BUT U CANT BE PERFECT. BUT U CAN BE AMAZING. 🤷🏽♂️
They just do the same thing every time, every time. They're just doing simple movements. They're just big bodies. They're simple movements that anyone can do.
As much as I loved the Starting Pitcher of old, ever since the pitchers started throwing as hard as they can every pitch instead of actually pitching, I don’t think the door can be closed
Limiting starting pitchers to six innings is a bad idea. Blanco, Cease and Snell wouldn't have complete game no-hitters this season if that was the rule. No metal bats in MLB either.
Ever??? 🤣 what are u smoking sr? 40/40 been done severe times. He stopped doing what makes him special! PITCHING ☝ When he gets to at least 400/400 with severe gold gloves then talk to me. BTW Bonds did 500/500/with 8 gold gloves ☝
This year he is a glorified DH and blew out his elbow pitching last year which he missed the rest of the year without hitting a homerun. Good niche to have yet more better in the posts season than the regular season as two way player is useless as he couldn't get his team above .500. Ohtani only once only had one year over 150 innings so he isn't a starter. Great hitter and a unicorn yet it really don't do much for a team and don't make other hitters better like Judge and if not for the injury Bettes was hitting better than him and a SS. Theirs other great DH's. If Ohtani wasnt scared of a big market teams when he first came here, he would have a WS.

Not one MLB manager, coach, or scout would take Judge over Ohtani. End of discussion

The mlb needs pitchers to pitch. Not throw the hardest they possibly can for a few innings. Pitchers are getting hurt far too often.
