As a Rockies fan, this is the most shameful loss I’ve ever seen. It’s a testament to how atrocious our bullpen situation is. Sure, we could have won the game if the checked swing call went our way which is heart-wrenching, but we never should have been in that situation. Loading the bases with walks in the 9th inning with a 5 run lead is absolutely unacceptable at the major league level. The bullpen coach should be fired immediately and Tyler Kinley should not be allowed to pitch at the major league level

The amazing part about this game was that there were so _many_ Dodgers' fans in that stadium! And Dodgers' fans are always accused of "leaving games early," and that's a fair point, but in this case, it seems like the Rockies' fans were the ones who left early, as all I heard was Dodgers' fans chanting "Let's go Dodgers!" I swear I was on the phone with my buddy talking about being down by 5 and how the stat just came onto the screen explaining to him that the commentary team has been talking about his streak and win stat the last couples of games. The Ump does not have to grant the time out, specially if he believes the pitcher has started his wind up. Will Smith tried to call a time out to disrupt the pitcher as he usually does and this time he didn't time it correctly.

Having said that, I do think Teo swung & should have been called out on strikes. The Rockies got robbed of a win. Now I know Smitty struck out when he called time out. But if he had been granted the timeout we don't know what would have happened next. Maybe he would've struck out anyway on the next pitch, maybe not. But we DO know what would have happened if Teo had been called out on strikes. The game would've been over. And I happen to be a Dodger fan. Just trying to be objective.
I swear I was on the phone with my buddy talking about being down by 5 and how the stat just came onto the screen explaining to him that the commentary team has been talking about his streak and win stat the last couples of games. Then Rojas comes up to bat and gets the hit and I go “what if now they get a grand slam and come back?” Then bases c loaded and BOOM Jhey bomb, followed by Teo. God, I love the Dodgers.

The Ump does not have to grant the time out, specially if he believes the pitcher has started his wind up. Will Smith tried to call a time out to disrupt the pitcher as he usually does and this time he didn't time it correctly.
