  • How can we discover a sense of inner calm, joy and purpose?
Our brains are wired to be self-critical and this negativity can undermine our wellbeing. But science shows we also have the capacity to change. No matter your circumstances or your past, you have the potential to rewire your brain for greater calm, clarity, and joy.
At this special event Dr Shauna Shapiro will share the science behind why we feel the way we do and how we get stuck in unhelpful thinking that doesn’t serve us.
Weaving together ancient wisdom and scientific research, Dr Shapiro will share powerful practices for living a happy, meaningful life - including her signature ‘good morning’ practice. She will explain how a combination of mindfulness and self-compassion can help to help you change your brain’s circuitry, transform your life and find a more enduring happiness.
As well as helping to create new neuropathways of clarity and calm, these practices can also help us to contribute a more connected and compassionate world.
This conversation with Dr Mark Williamson was recorded at a live Action for Happiness event on the 24th May 2023 actionforhappiness.org.
