Amazing, as a dad of 4 daughters I think the hugs at the end say it all. I'm currently teaching my 10 year old how to fly and I wouldn't trade that time for anything. Good job!
Brought me to tears. It's so good to see parents challenging and strengthening their children with a aim for a better future. Good job mom and dad. Great job girls, you are so fortunate to have such quality parents.
THIS! .... This is amazing. I paraglide and now pursuing my PPL. The ultimate goal is to fly my plane to the mountain where I paraglide. Do some free flying then fly my plane home. Thanks for visualizing the dream.
This was my favourite video you’ve made! Right up my alley... mixing aviation with another family adventure! My wife and I were just chatting about flying to a local ski hill for the day.
What a beautiful video. Amazing how nervous mom was to fly in the clouds in your plane for the millionth time, but she still had the courage to paraglide. Nice to be a fearless 12 year old too.
Man....the way you edit, your story telling, the music. I’m a grown man almost in tears here watching this. Geeez Eric! I don’t even know you guys and I’m getting emotional over paragliding. WHAT!?! 😉 I also have 2 daughters so I feel ya. Safe flying!
Eric, truly enjoy watching you and your families adventures. It can be extremely empowering to confront ones fears, challenge and conquer. Keep challenging not only yourself, but all those around you, for that is what living is all about. Thanks brother, can’t wait to see another video.
That was beautiful. It put a smile om my face while I'm at work. Thanks for your videos of thrills, adventures and encouragements. You are one of the best channels out there in TH-cam Land.
One of the best pieces of aviation filmmaking I've ever seen. Literally brought tears to my eyes. Well done all! May all life's adventures be as rewarding.
Fantastic video! The instructors were excellent! As a father, I would have a hard time determining if I wanted to be on the top of the hill to encourage the start of their journey or at the bottom to embrace them after such a cool and epic ride. It is very cool to see your kids try new things, especially the things that may bring a little angst to mom and dad. I speak from the experience of father who watched his 17 year old daughter solo for the first time and then skydive less than six months later. :-) Love your channel and all of your adventures, especially how you do most of it as a family. Keep it up!
It was a tough call to be at the top or bottom, also considering which shot to capture. :) Congrats on your daughter's solo! Huge accomplishment at 17!
What an awesome feel good video. What a man you are to kindly validate your wife's fears after flying thru the clouds to exposing your family to such great experiences. Kudos to you.
Wow! What an amazing experience. I love your perspective on how your family is able to challenge and grow with these experiences, and how you use the “magic carpet” as an enabler if these experiences. Nicely done cinematography and music.
Wow, we just talked about your paragliding video briefly in the comments in a more recent video of yours, and I had seen this before but wow, both of your daughters went, all of you and I have to say for the 1st time getting airborne you all did fantastic!!! All of your launches were amazingly smooth and you all brought the wing up nice and symmetrical!!! Perfect landings and you really handled the lift you glad like a pro!!!! I loved this video, I'm not a dad and never will be at my age, but I felt so much pride for your girls, I imagine you must of been out of this world with love and pride in your family!!! This video is truly a beautiful thing and testimony for love for your family! I only flew paragliders for a few years, things can and do happen as you know so after I had a serious accident, and several months recovery time, got back on the horse, but I eventually gave it up. Stay safe, and blue sky's and smooth air to you and your fantastic family!
Thanks so much! I’m really glad you enjoyed the video. Paragliding was amazing and we hope we can continue on with it when time allows. Eagle In Santa Barbara is a great place to learn in that easy training hill.
This whole experience was incredibly inspiring! Exactly what I want to be doing with my family in the next 6 years. Thanks for showing the possibilities of great family adventures in aviation and otherwise!

no you not... A very emotional video. It's wonderful to get to watch you and your family attemot and succeed! and even if they failed, at least they are living to the fullest and learning at thesame time!
As a marriage counselor, I have to say you did a stellar job with empathy after breaking out of the clouds and debriefing with your wife. Great modelling of a non-defensive, empathic response. I'm sure that wasn't part of your pilot's training :-)
I may have captured the only time I have ever done that. Still have a lot of work to do in that arena and learning every day! I will say, learning to fly a plane by sole reference to instruments is a lot easier.. haha
Even though this was three years ago it’s crazy! Because I live there! I’ve always watched them till we moved to Idaho! Every year when i go to visit we always do something fun with my three aunts! This is something I’ve been looking at for a long time and have always wanted to do it! But doing it with family and friends would be so fun! I’m so glad you got to go to my hometown! Absolutely spectacular work, man. Beautiful video, and what a wonderful experience for your whole family. There are definitely ways to make flying more affordable...both in the process of getting the license and later on with continuing to fly. Flying clubs and fractional ownership are smart ways people have found to reduce the costs to be able to fly a shared airplane. I sold my Cherokee 180 to a group of 5 guys who own it together. I estimate their monthly costs to maintain and fly the plane are about $200/month each. It is still not a cheap hobby but can possibly be less than some estimate.
