As someone who had to help a relative upload these documents, it was easy. However, my word of advice for anyone, if you are getting a marriage license or divorce decrees on behalf of the applicant in the US, the applicant must give you a notarized note that gives you access to these files. If the notarized note is in another language, please get it translated to English! Please make TWO copies of the notarized note. If you go to the divorce court, they actually keep the original notarized note. They do not make copies of the notarized note. Therefore with the second one, you can go to the marriage court house and also obtain the marriage license. If you need to apostille a marriage license, you have to get it certified and then apostille it. In New York City, they also Apostille marriage licenses and divorce license but you have to get the marriage license notarized it first. If you are in New York City, the notary is in the same office you obtain divorce decrees.

Question on derivative beneficiaries:
How to delete a derivative bene? If you select Follow-to-join does the derivative have to travel within a certain time period?
What if the derivative bene will not travel now and instead when the beneficiary applicant files their own petition for them many years later? Thank you so much.
Hello, you should be able to remove applicant once you log in. Usually follow to join beneficiaries are given 6 months from approval, and as for them traveling years later they can be petitioned by somebody else.

Hello I'm sort of confused by the civil documents requirements. I lived in the U.S. for over 20 years and deported and now in the Bahamas for the past 6 years. They want documents from the country I'm at now but they're asking for deportation documents that originated from the U.S. They also ask for marriage certificate when I was married in the U.S. So my question is do I still provide this information even though the documents originate from the U.S.? I was arrested as a minor in the U.S. so do I provide criminal court and prison records only for the Bahamas or do I have to provide documents pertaining to my arrest in the U.S.?

USCIS transferred my case to NVC on July 21, 2024. On July 24, I received a NVC email of “Introduction to Document Collection”, which had the case number in the subject line. But I never received the welcome email and the invoice ID number. I requested it via the Public Inquiry Form and received the invoice ID and the beneficiary ID, but no welcome letter. However, I was unable to log into CEAC using the information. In the NVC case status check website, it also says “You search did not return any data.” But I saw that the cases created in the same day at the same embassy either paid the fees or at least with a case status search return. What could be the issue with my case? What would you do at this step if it were you? It is already past the NVC file creation timeframe. Thank you so much for any help you may offer!

Hi Kseniya. I’ve uploaded my affidavit of support documents and I used my tax transcript and they accepted it with in a week. But I added a joint sponsor later again with his tax return (not transcript) and w2 with other documents and it’s been two months since I’ve submitted and still they didn’t accepted it. And a week ago I uploaded my joint sponsors tax transcript (the preferred one) on the addition documents. Any idea how long it’s going to take until my joint sponsor is accepted?
Did you click the submit button when you uploaded everything? Did you create a separate tab for the joint sponsor? Did they approve it?
Hi mam me and my husband don't have an official birth certificate because we were born in the year 1956&1950 respectively but we have an affidavit of support for our close relatives as evidence of our birth will that be accepted by the NVC please let me know
I obtained an I-797 form for my brother, but they made a mistake in the visa type field. Instead of writing a visa for the brother of an American citizen, they wrote a visa for the parents of an American citizen on it. IR5

Does the petitioner/sponsor need to upload their birth and police certificate as well? or is it just the principal applicant?
@@thepaperassassin-YT not the police certificate but they may request birth certificate - again, it all depends on the type of case and responses in DS-260
