    I got the white RTF in today, but ended up binding to my Radiomaster Zorro. The assembly was good. All fasteners complete and secure. I took the feathering shaft out and greased it and the bearings (something I do on every heli). Like my M2 EVO, the auto-level was all messed up so just did the quick debugging on it and all is good. I am getting about 3 mins. in normal mode, 50% throttle hovering indoors. I wouldn't push it any more than that.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very nice! I think the white looks great, and the green disappears a little bit too easily with a tree background. Pulling them apart and greasing. Your bearings is a great thing to do! I always go through every model and make sure everything is up to my standards. Auto level can definitely be tricky and habit issues. Yes three minutes is it that is what I landed at every flight.

    To think something like the Blade cpmx was a hot micro heli 15 years ago and the xk k110 around ten years ago. I just don't know how much better a helicopter like that can get. Is there any truth behind people saying that goosky and OMP are the same people who own both company's? It's a bit odd that they make many models that seem to be nearly identical.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I remember when the Blade CP was the hottest smaller Heli you could get then the Blade MCP came out and blew everyone’s mind. Now look at what we have! Crazy! From what I’ve been told, and Goosky was started from the designer of OMP leaving he started goosky. They took what was lacking in the OMP helicopters and made it better. Like the M1 was great but tail really sucked. Now the S1 is here and better tail performance. Of course it’s all about competition.

    • @zadaw7220
      @zadaw7220 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The founder of Goosky used to work for OMP and he designed the OMP M1 and M2. Before that, he used to work for WL Toys and was responsible for the XK K110. It is said that he left OMP on very bad terms and the companies are at each other's throats now.

    • @joe-dp3ng
      @joe-dp3ng ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@zadaw7220 I started with a 450 but basically learned to fly with K110s without a simulator years ago. They allowed me to get plenty stick time in my front yard so I like them. I have also been flying an OMP M2 for a few years. I would say whoever that guy is he has helped me have lots of fun. From what you said I think I'm going to buy Goosky helicopters from now on. I'm glad I know this now. I like to dance with the girl I brought to the party so to speak lol. I respect a guy who designed RC helicopters that good. Thanks for the 411 guys.

    Be interested to see how the servos hold up on this compared to the Omp M1. M1 is a great Heli but those servos do fail, sometimes without any crashes etc at all

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  ปีที่แล้ว

      Me too! I’ve replaced four servos on my M1 and no crashes at that point. I’ve crashed it three times and never messed up a servo lol let’s see! I’ve got 22 flights on it so far and everything has been great. Time will tell!

    BA Baracus man. That's an A-Team reference for all the generations after GenX btw.
    Btw do you have a camera man? I always thought you filmed POV but i saw in this video the camera was lost at times because the heli is so small. But if that were you filling, you'd have likely crashed.
    Can't wait to receive mine. Just wiped the dust off a Blade CP S and flew it yesterday. Its about the size of this S1, maybe a bit smaller but this S1 is going to be 100x better or more!

    Want to ask a favour, please make a video on how you shorten the satellite Rx wire and how to speed up the servos.

    Thanks for the awesome videos and tips you give to all of us, I really appreciate.

      Hello! Welcome to the heli side of the hobby! I’m glad the videos are helpful and got you flying on your Goosky models! I did make a video about the app and how to adjust your servo speed but it was uploaded to helidirect here is the video!
      th-cam.com/video/prY9EfS99uc/w-d-xo.html
      For shorting the satellite wire I just cut the stock wire that comes with the satellite and took out how much I wanted in the middle and soldered it back together. I can definitely make a video on that! It’s a great idea!

      Yes, you can run 100%. I have tested it already and no issues on the tail letting go. It’s got crazy insane power at 100% so my idle up two is 90%. Which is still almost too much power. But you set the throttle curve to your liking.
