Now that I found out that the designer of the OMP M2 is now with Goosky. Also that Goosky has better motors and overall better flight characteristics I'm more inclined to buy from Goosky. I think you proved that they are a bit better than OMP. I mean as far as having more power an better tail lock right out of the box. Honestly I'm not stroking your ego but we all have you to thank for the many comparisons of the models they both put out over the last year and a half.

Thank you! You are not stroking my ego lol I am not better than anybody or put myself above anybody or any of you! The designer of OMP Hobbies left and started Goosky. That is why OMP hates them so much. And why they hate me! All because I said the S2 and RS4 are lighter and more powerful. Sure the M4 is built tougher but weight to power ratio is more important for me! Plus Goosky stands behind their products and customers! One big reason I push and support them so much. If you remember I was the first one to ever review or fly a S2 when no one knew who they even were!

So THAT'S why the goosky helis have better TALY!!! This is really interesting and funny. I just love this rivalry stuff, it's funny to watch. On that note though, my experience has actually been that the M2 V2 has been a better flying heli than the M2 Evo. This has been my personal experience with my particular units but I dunno if this is the case for a lot more people than just me. I also don't know why my M2 Evo seems to be a poo. It just seems to have this cyclic wobble problem while my M2 V2 does not, I thought the washout arms were supposed to SOLVE this issue OMP!!! What GIVES?!?!

      @joe-dp3ng 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@ambrosekillpack4841 I will tell you this. If you put M2 Evo main and tail blades on the other M2 models you will be surprised how much better they fly. I did that and my explorer tail is rock solid. And I responds to cyclic way better. I have been telling as many as I can. You can thank me later.

thank you for watching all these videos! I’m glad the videos are helpful! I try to make videos for everyone to follow from beginning to advance. I know first hard how hard helicopters can be. so my recommendation is get the S2. it’s bigger then the S1 so will be easier to see and you will grow with it a lot faster. the RS4 is awesome but it will be more expensive in crash and having to build it can hard for your first time, once you under under stand helis and how they work building them is alot easier.

My brother bought this after buying the omp m2.
I got to fly it and it is a great heli. I found the servos were slow and not very responsive. A week or two later, my brother calls to tell me a servo died. He didn't break anything, but he was just hovering, and the pitch servo stuck and wouldn't allow him to return without killing it. Could be a bad servo. I'll let him fix and see how long it lasts, lol. But it's way better than blade!!

I've got one and I love it!
My only complaints are 1) Flight times are really short so it's a lot of battery swapping, but they make that easy because you don't have to remove the canopy and 2) The tail blows completely out when I am doing inverted loops in FM1 and sometimes in FM2. This causes a brief loss of control. This could be a setup issue. I am not sure yet.
A huge positive to this thing is its durability. I've had at least 5 pretty hard crashes and the only thing that happened was the tail boom has bent on two occasions. But I just bent it back in my bench vice with a rag wrapped around the tail to prevent scratches.
I also LOVE how I can fly this in my front yard EVERY DAY to help me get the pilot skills like Jeff has, hopefully one day :--)

It really is a tank! Such a well-built, strong little helicopter. Granted, I only have about 50 flights on mine, and in this video was the first time I ever put it in the ground, but I know quite a few people that have literally beating the crap out of theirs, and one guy even suck it in a swimming pool. Let it dry out and kept flying lol. That is a very strange issue to have with your tail. That is not normal, I personally have never been able to blow my tail out, and even Ben stork has really pushed the crap out of that little helicopter in the tail has never let go. At IRCHA when we did the product announcement, we had every person fly as hard as humanly possible and detail never walked one bit. I wonder if your ESC is bad? Like 10 years ago i had a blade mcpx bl, but i wasn't really satifsfied with the quality of the product and the parts (which were also way to expensive for such a little heli imo).
I learned the basics with that heli, no 3D stuff (yet).
I love how every review i watch about the Goosky helicopters praise how stable it is, and the tail also + the price is decent and parts prices seems reasonable too.
(and i kinda wanna go a little step bigger, heli wise, so if i do pull the trigger on starting again, i think i might go for the S2, also because spare parts look to be not that really that more expensive than parts for the S1)
By hobby store i meant online stores, but then stores located in the Netherlands (or other trusthworty European based online stores where i would feel comfortable enough sending that much money to and having some faith that any problems with like warranty stuff will not happen).
Looks like Goosky is basically USA only?
Maybe i go look up some information first about what a good RC heli simulator for PC is these days, any tips on that too perhaps?

I have all three, the S1, S2 and the S4. They all fly great, are incredibly stable and can do 3D as well. The S2 is bigger and a tad easier to fly. I think the S1 could even be used to learn to fly except it's very small and harder to see from an orientation standpoint. For the price, you can't really go wrong, extra batteries are also very affordable, get more because you only get 3 minutes of flight on the 300 mAH packs. If you find you can fly this little guy around, you could transition to the RS 4 easily.

@@heeder777 I am jumping into the hobby. I really appreciate the building aspect. I also prefer the rotary wing over the fixed wing RC. I am currently setting up a Nano S3 to mess around with. I own the Goosky S2 and a Trex 470 from Align. Quick question, is throttle cut mandatory on the Nano? How do I set that?

@@bnty22 Even on the micros I use throttle hold/cut. Just assign a switch and set your desired direction for hold, set the throttle to zero for the hold position. It is a safety thing, but the micros will cut you up..had one hit me in the shins when I bumped the collective on a Align 150X. Three cuts in less than a second. Took weeks to heal. You can't auto a micro, no inertia to keep the blades running, you're using hold keep the motor off until you're ready to fly. The 470 is also a good one from align.

@@heeder777 in the manual it appears throttle hold and cut are two differing controls for heli control. I remember reading somewhere that helis use throttle hold but throttle cut I am no too familiar with

@@bnty22 I'm guessing you're running Futaba. Throttle cut is used for nitro helicopters to shut down the engine. Throttle hold, depending on where it's set to "holds" the throttle at a certain percentage and or shuts the motor down but tells the ESC "I want to respool up fast next time unless I'm past so many seconds, then spool up normally". When set for auto rotations on electrics the esc will spin up the motor rapidly from the off position and on nitro it will set a high idle. For the little helicopters it's mainly used to provide a path to keep the motor from spinning up inadvertently. Don't feel bad, it takes a lot of reading of the transmitter, motor and ESC manuals to fully understand a lot about helicopter functions and what they each do. Jeff's videos have given me lots of good ideas and information.

Is it as good as the m1?

It’s better! The tail performance alone is night and day!

Hmm! That’s interesting! I think the other way around. Goosky flys better and the S1 performance is far better than the M1. But get one and try it!
