The more I see this video, the more I see it again, the more fantastic it is, beautiful, poetic, wind, rain, snow, silence and miusic, and the true essence of travel and solitude with oneself! Thanks
Thank you. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. I am contemplating doing the Camino Frances starting in mid-February. I found watching your video inspirational. Thank you
That was a fantastic video. Aside from the walk itself (no mean feat) doing it in such hideous conditions, having to do all the b-roll and drone work must have made the task twice as hard. I hope you and your kit have now dried out completely. Keep up the great work, Adrian.
Just watched your video which I really enjoyed. I've walked multiple Caminos but never in winter. Reminded me very much of my native Scotland. Ultreia et Suseia.
Glad you enjoyed the video! I've done the camino a couple times and it's always a joy. I definitely recommend doing it in the winter at least once, it's a very different experience. Very few people (downside is many places are closed), the trails almost all for yourself. And yes, some parts of northern Spain are similar to the British Isles. Thanks again!
35 km a day plus photo stops??? In one of the most gorgeous ( and demanding!) part of the ´Francès? Long days!!! And absolutely beautiful photography. The more you do, the more I like. Gratias!
Thanks very much for sharing this beautifully shot video! I appreciate how you let the Camino do the talking. It also gives one a sense of how few people are on the Camino in the winter.
Adrian, in my experience the trips with the greatest hardships are those that I remember with the most fondness. You will remember this one the rest of your life. Lovely video!
Mi hermano, me has hecho recordar mi experiencia del Camino.
Respect to you Adrian - the weather was terrible for you, just as it was for me when I walked from coast to coast across England many years ago, but you stuck at it. Well done!
Nice one, Adrian. Loved the mood, video and photos. - But all that water! - At least I hope your boots were dry every morning. Thanks for taking us along.
Interesting time to choose to do the camino. I've gone on some very long hikes, and after a few weeks, you really have no choice but to get your head in check with yourself. Thanks for sharing your journey. It's -3F here now where I am, but your video definitely made me chilly. Hope you had a warm Christmas with your wife.
You're a big inspiration bro! I've been watching your videos for the last week and this one... It just make want to do mel Camino tooo! Great work! Greetings from Amsterdam
I admire you deeply for undertaking this adventure. I enjoy my solitude at times, but I wonder how I would fare in 13 days of cold and snow alone? It would truly test one's mindset. It seems so beautiful, and yet I feel even I, the eternal introvert, would miss human interaction. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I hope you learned much, and are able to continue your journey in the future.
Thank you! It was 7 days "only", 13 would have been definitely harder. I consider myself an introvert as well, but I also need human interaction. I had no problem during the Camino, though, because I knew I'd be back in just a few days, back to my loved ones, back to my friends. I think it's just easier when you have a deadline, when you are doing it just temporarily. If there was no end in sight... then, that'd be much harder. Thank you for watching and for sharing your thoughts!
Great memories. Walked the Norte (and Primitivo) in September, luckily avoided the rain! Alas, the first week was the most painful experience of my life. Never thought I'd see the end, but, like you, I just kept going, one step at a time. Miss it very much.
Hola, felicidades por el vídeo Adrian. Me gusta la evolución de tu canal. He disfrutado mucho. Me recuerda mucho a los videos de Kraig Adams pero con tu estilo y personalidad. Las imágenes en blanco y negro en slideshow funcionan muy bien. Gran documental sonoro @aows Espero ver más.
Absolutely brilliant, Adrian. That was great to watch and great to see you make and complete the journey too. I check my phone everyday to see if you’ve uploaded something. You’re inspiration plus. All the best for the new year !
did it late autumn with snow in the Asturias , it was magic , the few peoples were good it felt like a real full winter ...!! I don't know , will have to think about it experience
Hi Adrian. Yet again another piece of great work. New to your work but live it and the honesty. Just read your download Photography is easy. Fantastic and honest. You could only write this with experience and this vid demonstrates your passion and enjoyment in art. Thank you
It is an experience and I can't recommend it enough (well, maybe not right now :)). There are plenty of options, from very easy to extremely difficult, and several different routes. No matter which one you do, you will love it. Hope you can make it happen one day!
Another great video Adrian. I enjoyed it, and for some time now I have been thinking to walk a fair part of the Camino myself. Did you plan the places to sleep in advance or did you choose them on the spot? Looking forward to your next video.
Good evening. I'm Thomas and I am also a Santiago walker. My dream woul be to walk in winter towards santiago. please could you tell me if it was easy to find accomodation and albergue during your journey. Thank you very much and take care of yourself
Hi, Thomas! It wasn't hard to find places to stay, but most of them are closed. So if you are doing sections different from the "official" ones, or stopping in smaller towns, you might have a harder time. I had them all booked ahead of time, you might want to do something similar, maybe have a few days booked ahead of time so you know you'll have a place to sleep that night.
Should have been more footage of you putting on and pulling off your boots, and eating! The filming would have been great but you kept getting in the shot!!! You didn't mention what drone you used! I think you walked closer to 200 miles - set up your tripod - walk to get in the shot - walk back to pick up your tripod - walk the same distance (for the 3rd time) and continue on UNTIL the next set-up!!!
Outstanding. A true pilgrim, not a tourist. An artist with a vision.
wonderful, quiet, inspirational. and beautiful pictures too. Thank you.
Always in winter. Always. I’ll never forget those days. Thank you for the memories!!
The more I see this video, the more I see it again, the more fantastic it is, beautiful, poetic, wind, rain, snow, silence and miusic, and the true essence of travel and solitude with oneself! Thanks

Superb, Adrian. I think of all the Camino vlogs I've seen yours was the most arduous, and yet the most rewarding.
You have my admiration and respect my friend!! Beautiful photos, very nice videos! Hello from Greece!👍📷
Simply poetic

Great work on both finishing the hike and making this video with great pics! Btw, what time of year is this and which route did you take?
It is one of my dreams to complete El Camino (at least in part). Perhaps, one day, with my 2 sons; what an adventure that would be! ❤️❤️

nice thanks. whar did you use to make the movie
Hi all, in winter, how do you go about booking places to stay? You use agoda or something?
Do you think it is possible to do the same hike in mid-January?
WhAt was the trail you traveled. Was it mainly roads or a combination of roads and off trails. I would be interested in something like this myself.
That looked hard ......
It was, but also a lot of fun. I won't ever forget it :)
All with just a compact camera?
That is my biggest fear, all I will be eating is bread.
Haha well there is good bread in Galicia that’s for sure
Fantastic video.
Thank you!
Wonderful! May i suggest you to buy some anti slip shoes accessories for 20 euros? Just in case... Wonderful video!
