    Helped me a lot to understand basics of Houdini. Well explained with good examples. For more advanced stuff I check Entagma tutorials.

    Biggest difference is Copy in other software output individual new geometry, but Houdini output them in whole and it's hard to manipulate only some of them individually.

    Not bad. It'd be good to use the new nodes. "I'm used to the old ones is a bad example for a trainer.."

    why use these major events where you have brilliant artists available for a day or two and have them do these basic beginner bullshit that one can already easily find on the web? this is fucking ridiculous! these artists are doing insane shit everyday and here is a chance to see how some of that is done and we get this houdini 101 fucking nonsense. SideFX you're better than this.

      there is no need to be so rude. But I agree with you: this lesson was not so useful and felt redundant as the topic has been already covered (and more in deep) in other free tutorials (like the "recreating mograph in Houdini" series by Rohan Davi).

      Well it seems to be helping ppl so my apologies. But hopefully we can see more advanced stuff at these conferences.

      because organizations are usually looking for newer customers during these workshops and so basic topics are mostly preferred. That's what i think at least
