    First bind your TX to the dongle by pushing the bind button in while plugging in the dongle to your PC. It will be blinking. Then turn TX on while holding in your bind button or switch. It will then be bound. Then, as I show, type "game controllers" in the program search window at bottom left side of Windows home screen. There, a window will pop up, and you will see Spektrum receiver. Then just follow the prompts to calibrate it. Then click save. Then it should show up in your sim program unless it is not supported as I list in the video notes below or on their web site.
    Not being able to find out how many channels the Spektrum Simulator dongle supports, I decided to check it out myself. This wirelessly connects your Spektrum Transmitters to your computer simulators. I purchased mine on Amazon Prime for $42.50 which is cheaper than an 8 channel receiver and the stock simulator dongle.

    Just ordered one. In the 40s here in Ohio but so much rain this fall our yard is a swamp, didn't even get my leaves cleaned up! Simulator time.
    Thanks Dave

      Great. I'm sure you will love this all in one unit, as well as I do. Happy flying. Bummer about the swamp. If you have Aerofly, come fly with me. Thanks and happy flying.

      @@DKoppJr I have them both, but can only fly online with Aerofly 7.5 I fly the Ultimate version. It is as close to real RC flying of any of the sims I have and really like it a lot, as you know. I have a PC running Windows 10 and I use a Spektrum DX6 transmitter. I would like to buy either aerofly 7 ultimate or aerofly 8, but I'm not sure if I can run the programs with the computer and transmitter I am using. Can you advise me on if they will work with my system. I can't seem to find the answers to my questions online. Thanks in advance

      Aerofly is definitely my favorite, as it feels like the real thing. Since I fly the real thing, I can tell the difference in sims.
      Aerofly will work on your computer, but you will need a High End Graphics card, to keep up with the incredible graphics. Here is a link to the Computer specs on Steam Powered. Scroll down the page and you will see the recommendations for computers. Thanks and If you get it, let me know and I will be able to fly online with you. store.steampowered.com/app/328171/aerofly_RC_7_Ultimate_Edition/

    Where can I find how to get windows to see the spektrum dongle. You go pretty fast, so I was wondering how to do it step by step. I am trying to hook up jumper t8sg (dsm2 or dsmx) to bind with spektrum dongle and run it on simulator (fpv freerider) and I need some help since it would the first time I hook up any remote via dongle to pc. Thanks.

      Ps there is no need for any jumpers. It is an all in one unit, dongle and receiver.

    • @NightFlyyer
      @NightFlyyer  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      According to the write up, this simulator model is actually based on the world wide sole and in flyable condition. It's a 109 e series from 1939 built-in Warnemuende with the number 3579. After being secured in Finland in 1992 the machine has been refurbished to the tune of more than $3million! The airplane is in excellent original and operational, flyable condition today. It may be a Finish symbol. That's all I know.

    It appears, in the Apple app store, that aerofly RC 7 will work on my Mac, but RF8 will not. Is this correct? Thanks. I will be using my Spectrum TX and Spectrum dongle. My AMA is current, btw.

    • @NightFlyyer
      @NightFlyyer  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I believe that it will be coming soon as RC-8 has not been released in USA yet, but if you get RC-7.5 Ultimate it will work. There will be an upgrade available, so you can always do that when it becomes available I've flown RC7.5 for years and believe me, you will love it. Thanks for being and AMA member.

    • @NightFlyyer

      No it wont and there is no reason to. Nothing needs that many channels.

    • @wjkahl4900
      @wjkahl4900 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NightFlyyer If nothing needs that many channels, why do they make 18 and 20 channel radios? For example, multiple cameras on a multirotor. Each camera needs, tilt, rotate, and zoom controls. It eats up channels quickly. Jet flyers break their planes down into two sides and use 2 channels for each surface. I asked a simple question. "No it won't" would have sufficed.

    • @NightFlyyer
      @NightFlyyer  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@wjkahl4900 I worked as a Technician on radios for years, and I guess you don't like the real answer. The average airplane with flaps and landing gear only needs 6 channels, elevator, aileron, rudder, throttle, flaps landing gear. A 7th channel could run a camera and 8 a bomb drop. Each channel is multi function. For example, Elevator UP and Down is only 1 channel. Camera gimble up and down is only 1 channel. I have planes, including my F-16 that uses 2 servos for ailerons too, but it in reality is using only 1 channel on the receiver. 20 channels is a lot. Sorry to offend you with my answer, but it would be hard for the average pilot to use 20 channels.

      @NightFlyyer  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wjkahl4900 Sorry. I was trying to explain that no RC simulator is set up for 18 channels, hence to answer your question. This dongle will work with your transmitter, but you will only be able to use 8. I see no videos of flying on your channel, so assumed you were being sarcastic by asking the question that was answered in the video and why I made it. Enjoy your life.
