I installed this on the Mac (7 bucks) and I connected the Jumper T18 with USB C (lightning) Cable and it works. I had some difficulties to get the Gas Channel working normally. What I find difficult is orientation, finding back to the Runway. The Picture should be more wide angle, also in FPV mode, you don't see enough to orientate. Maybe can't complain for 7 bucks.... I'm not sure how this simulator then translates to real flight with a model. But its worth a try.

Watched your video 2 on the TX16S and switched on USB to joystick. Tried it with the FMS but the TX sticks won't calibrate. Wonder if you can suggest a fix. Thanks.
I did a video showing how to get the TX16s Joystick to work with Windows. When I made the FMS video, mine worked, so I didn't have the issue. A couple of people mentioned the problem--hence the video showing the fix. You can watch the joystick fix here: th-cam.com/video/cUmDBS4CeG8/w-d-xo.html If your radio shows up as a Joystick, the FMS sim should work fine. Alternatively, you could also upgrade your Radio firmware to 2.3.11. The changelog says they've gained access to a unique USB id which should avoid future usb/joystick issues.

based on your reviews I got the radiomaster 16s, I'm a complete beginner, can you do a short vid on setting it up for real flight? or have one already?
The only way I've heard this can be done is by using the Real Flight radio as a master and the TX16s as a slave. I'm really not anxious to try and sort that out. I just use the RF toy radio for RF.
Does the dongle work with all or most brands of transmitters? I used to use this sim many years ago, downloaded different models including dirigibles, etc. with Saitek joystick.
Yeah, that would be convenient. I don't know of any honest attempts at RC physics or any sort of radio interface on iOS though. There are a couple of sim games but that's not the same.

If your radio is recognized by your computer as a joystick it should work. The other joysticks might be enough to help you develop the muscle memory, but you'll have to translate it. It might be like learning to drive a car by learning to drive a tractor. You'll probably get the gist of it, but it'll take a little time in the car to get smooth.
Stan Werner I think that must be a reference to a throttle lock. There is no menu lock that I’m aware of. Try flipping all the toggle switches until hold goes away.
I probably wouldn't make a video about that, BUT, I am happy to fire up the SIM and see if I can figure it out. I'll report back here if I crack the code.
@peter adler JUST posted this on this video: I installed this on the Mac (7 bucks) and I connected the Jumper T18 with USB C (lightning) Cable and it works. I don't know about the FlySky though. Does it work as a joystick in OSX?
Also have the flicker problem. Setting to window doesn't help and when I turn off textures it looks like Apple II software running off a cassette tape. Wanted this for a friend about to buy his first model and was going to lend him my USB RC controller. Too bad. Would be nice it it actually worked.
Clearly this isn’t big budget software. The video shows it works but obviously there are issues. I was able to replicate and eliminate flicker with window mode. Removing textures does look bad. I tried that too when I saw the first graphics issues surface.
well I got everything operating with the exception of the Throttle, By the way, I am attempting to use the Helicopter version of this Sim, not airplane --- the throttle (channel 3 & 5) seem to operate backwards, when I attempt to reverse it nothing changes---any suggestions?
Some time ago my hosting provider restored a backup and lost all of the files I had on my server. I've been gradually restoring them when people tell me a link doesn't work. I've reposted the sim. Please use the link in the description.
One of the other posts recommended turning down/off graphics textures. Curious: Do those of you having the flicker problem have discreet graphics cards?

IS that free flight simulator still available to download? I've tried the link you provided that does not work anymore. Although it should not be a big surprise given that it was put out here cca 2 years ago
They recently updated their website and I don't know where they moved it. I uploaded my copy to my server here: rcvideoreviews.com/FMS_Setup.exe I also updated the description with the new link. Thanks for letting me know.
I don't know. I don't have any Spektrum gear. If you have a computer interface cable for your radio you can always give it a try. It won't cost you anything. Let me know what you figure out.
The most recent versions of OpenTx and all versions of EdgeTX have. unique USB Identifier which should allow the radio to work as a joystick under Windows. I can't speak to specific sims.
@@RCVideoReviews thank you for at least some info ive asked under 4 videos, with no aswer. and you are only one who did tell me its at least somehow possible.
I suggest the free PicaSim rather than FMS. Also, incase your TX were to happen to natively use 'direct input' protocol, for example like the FlySky i6x, then you would not need the physical usb emulator...for example since android supports 'direct input' we can control PicaSim directly with our FlySky i6x (with oem Sept 2019 firmware) just by plugging the i6x oem usb cable into a usb-otg port on our Nexus 7 but with Windows 10 we additionally need to run Xoutput from github to convert the 'direct input' from the i6x direct usb connection (ie. no physical emulator) into the Xinput that Windows 10 recognizes.
I don't know. If you can plug it in using whatever cables you have and it shows up as a joystick it will work with the simulator. I was able to plug my TX16S in with the standard USB cable and it worked. The cable in the video is for DETRUM radios. It might--but is not guaranteed to--work for your radio. That cable definitely works for DETRUM radios.
I assume you're asking about the Detrum cable. The only answer I can provide is that it's made or sourced by Detrum to their specs so that their radios can connect to a PC and function as a Joystick. That's the bottom line, when you connect, the PC has to see your radio as a Joystick. I have no idea if that cable will work for any brand other than Detrum radios. Do you have a cable for your radio now? Have you searched for using your radio as a joystick? www.deviationtx.com/forum/6-general-discussions/7870-t8sg-usb-problem www.reddit.com/r/fpv/comments/czxrih/cant_connect_my_jumper_t8sg_plus_v2_as_my/ "" Just connect it to USB, make a model in the T8SG and connect it thru normal protocol RX binding (dsmx) and it just works. Shows up in windows as "USB dsmX HID" game controller ""
That's because it's not signed. Microsoft is trying to push everybody to use their app store. You can bypass the warning by hitting more info and install anyway. If it concerns you, don't install it.

@@RCVideoReviews ok no problem thank you of course there is no obligation
Does the free sim cover helicopters?
I don't recall. That video is 1.5 years old and I don't remember seeing helis in it.
yes it covers, you can download lots of mods like i did
How did you get this to work on windows 10? I always get an error code.. won't even load the game
It just worked. I didn't do anything in particular.
Unfortunately I get a DirectX3 error and am not able to use the Sim.
Can you update DirectX?
Can CH 3 be set up for heli for 3D?
Looking for a sim that will work with a MacBook Air and a Flysky FSI6x if there is one, any suggestions?
@peter adler JUST posted this on this video: I installed this on the Mac (7 bucks) and I connected the Jumper T18 with USB C (lightning) Cable and it works. I don't know about the FlySky though. Does it work as a joystick in OSX?
@@RCVideoReviews Thanks for the quick response. I will check it out.
Jeff
Also have the flicker problem. Setting to window doesn't help and when I turn off textures it looks like Apple II software running off a cassette tape. Wanted this for a friend about to buy his first model and was going to lend him my USB RC controller. Too bad. Would be nice it it actually worked.
Clearly this isn’t big budget software. The video shows it works but obviously there are issues. I was able to replicate and eliminate flicker with window mode.
Removing textures does look bad. I tried that too when I saw the first graphics issues surface.
PS There are some other free to try sims out there. I want to say Clearflight..?
Hey brother. Can I use my own dx6 radio or do I need to buy a new one for it?
If your radio is recognized by the operating system as a joystick, you should be able to use it.
well I got everything operating with the exception of the Throttle, By the way, I am attempting to use the Helicopter version of this Sim, not airplane --- the throttle (channel 3 & 5) seem to operate backwards, when I attempt to reverse it nothing changes---any suggestions?
Stan Werner did you reverse it in the software vs on the radio?
@@RCVideoReviews how do you reverse it on the software?
@@tomeraltman7491 Controls -> Analog Controls -> Joystick Interface -> Mapping Calibration
The INV box reverses the input.
Hi,
this is great.. Does anyone know if this will work with a game pad?
Thanks
If Windows sees it as a joystick it should work.
good explaination
Thank you.
Thank you
You're welcome
Hi is there a new link to download the simulator as the 1 in description doesn't seem to work
Some time ago my hosting provider restored a backup and lost all of the files I had on my server. I've been gradually restoring them when people tell me a link doesn't work. I've reposted the sim. Please use the link in the description.
when i start the program the image is flashing, and i can't see the plane, is there any fix?
Sorry, I haven't encountered and issue like that. Maybe reinstall or reboot?
I also have this problem :(
One of the other posts recommended turning down/off graphics textures.
Curious: Do those of you having the flicker problem have discreet graphics cards?
@@RCVideoReviews I have a gtx 970 graphics card
I have a GTX 1060 6GB with the latest drivers
This looks a lot like Clearview which I consider to be one of the all time great sims. I still use it and I wish it was still being updated as well. I would like to find out how to create my own landscape for it. Sims are great for learning and for fun on a rainy day.
Clearview was pretty good too. I used to fly that with a keyboard.
Subbed because you were so helpful
Welcome to the channel!
Where do I download it from for Mac???
You don't. This is PC only.
@@RCVideoReviews there is a comment down below. Someone got this for Mac for 7bucks. Or was it a different sim maybe? I’ll ask
IS that free flight simulator still available to download? I've tried the link you provided that does not work anymore. Although it should not be a big surprise given that it was put out here cca 2 years ago
They recently updated their website and I don't know where they moved it. I uploaded my copy to my server here: rcvideoreviews.com/FMS_Setup.exe
I also updated the description with the new link. Thanks for letting me know.
@@RCVideoReviews i just ran into your video today. No worries. Thanks for the update.
I got the complete realflight 7.5 kit with elite controller for $70

where is the discription
Hi, why my browser telling me this free simulator is harm for my pc
Probably because it's delivered as an exe file. If you're concerned, you shouldn't use it.
Will this work with a spektrum radio? Thanks.
I don't know. I don't have any Spektrum gear. If you have a computer interface cable for your radio you can always give it a try. It won't cost you anything. Let me know what you figure out.
@@RCVideoReviews Ok. Thanks.
@@joeg986 did you get it running?
@@psanderbrand Did not try yet. After reading about it, looks like it may only work with Detrum radios.
I’m just speculating, but I don’t think the software cares what radio is used. I think it looks at the radio like a joystick. Just a guess though.
How do you set the language to english on the Detrum 6C?
From startup-Press ENT > Press Up Once (System Set) > Press Enter (Language) > Press R+ or L- to toggle between Chinese and English.
Can the spectrum NXS transmitter work with this?
Sorry, don't know the first thing about Spektrum.
Can i make somehow my radio comptible with farming simulator or arma? If it can control simulator.. How could i make it work with games?
The most recent versions of OpenTx and all versions of EdgeTX have. unique USB Identifier which should allow the radio to work as a joystick under Windows. I can't speak to specific sims.
@@RCVideoReviews thank you for at least some info ive asked under 4 videos, with no aswer. and you are only one who did tell me its at least somehow possible.
Where to buy it
Can the sim and joystick emulator work with a Microzone branded transmitter?
If your transmitter is recognized by windows as a USB joystick, it should work.
@@RCVideoReviews noted, thanks for a quick feedback!
Will this work with the radiomaster boxer radio.
No
Can I use any transmitter with this program?
If Windows recognizes the transmitter as a joystick, it should work.
How did you get that sim to work on Win10? I used it ages ago and I think it was Windows 98. With Win10 I am getting DirectX error related messages.
It just worked. I didn't do anything but install it and run it.
I had the same issue did you ever figure it out?
@@JustinTwilley I bought a different sim
Hi, I do not think they offer this SSW anymore.
cheers,
a
SSW? The software is linked in the description if that's what you're referring to.
I never could get FMS to load after installation on my computer.
Sorry Jesse. Are you getting any kind of error message?
Is he compatible with spektrum rc controller ?
I don't know--I've never owned a Spektrum radio. If you can plug your Spektrum in and Windows sees it as a joystick, it should work.
I installed well, no issues. Thanks! Hey, your voice sound a teacher, also the sound track, Mr. J,M,, husband of L,S,, Am I right?
Glad the video helped. I don't know what you mean with your last sentance. I don't know any LS..?
crt6b work or not
Can it use for every radio transmitter?
If your radio is recognized as a USB joystick by Windows it should work.
i have a jumper t8sg transmitter....do i need to buy a cable?
I don't know. If you can plug it in using whatever cables you have and it shows up as a joystick it will work with the simulator. I was able to plug my TX16S in with the standard USB cable and it worked.
The cable in the video is for DETRUM radios. It might--but is not guaranteed to--work for your radio. That cable definitely works for DETRUM radios.
@@RCVideoReviews thanks for the response. it this a special cable made by tx manufacturer or just a regular usb cable ?
I assume you're asking about the Detrum cable. The only answer I can provide is that it's made or sourced by Detrum to their specs so that their radios can connect to a PC and function as a Joystick.
That's the bottom line, when you connect, the PC has to see your radio as a Joystick. I have no idea if that cable will work for any brand other than Detrum radios.
Do you have a cable for your radio now? Have you searched for using your radio as a joystick?

hi, i'v tried to download this simulator but windows says that is dangerous for my pc
That's because it's not signed. Microsoft is trying to push everybody to use their app store. You can bypass the warning by hitting more info and install anyway.
If it concerns you, don't install it.
@@RCVideoReviews thanx for the answare, i already installed it

Are there other planes on this simulator?
Yes

I'm not sure, I haven't tried. It would probably be a bit challenging.
