i think it's well worth 140 quid... P90 is my favorite... agreed with other people that the middle position sounds strange... but having that tone option of the mid position might actually be a feature...
still scrambling as the leaves are changing color, little bit of time before I zonk here. EDIT: sounds like it need some nut tweak, ( and any economy guitar would ), but the pickups tones are quite good.
The pickups actually sound quite good, especially for a sub-$250(US) guitar, but the one upgrade I would make is getting rid of the plastic nut. Plastic nuts tend to dampen the strings. A bone nut or a quality substitute like GraphTech Tusq or Corian would improve overall clarity. Not an expensive upgrade and easily done. Beyond that, I don’t think it needs anything else. Just my thought.
Lovely looking guitar, mate. Good clarity from that P90 & sounded a bit "out of phase" in the middle position. Perfect for Peter Green stuff. Some nice lead parts too. Who taught you how to do that?
The P90 sounded great. Tele with 24 frets, nice. As soon as you said Ash body, i thought, that's gonna be heavy. I used to like heavy body guitars, used to think it was a sign of good quality, but now i go for lighter ones. Over all it should appeal to many, for looks and features at the price. 👍
I've been looking at these for a hot minute. Sounds good driven, wasn't overly keen on the clean tones but who plays clean these days?! Nice video Jonny.
I remember my first guitar was a gear 4 music la, was ok for a beginner kit, seeing this makes me wonder, how lucky u new players to have these fine machines… looks like I might have to get a gear for music guitar now 😂
That p90 sounds good, the humbucker sounds hot high output, £140 is a great price. What were the electrics like did you have a look?.. interested to know what pots are inside? Anyway great video cheers!🙂👍🎸
Can't complain for £140. Pickups were ok clean, but really came alive when driven. The middle position was a let down, like the pickups were cancelling each other out. Might be worth checking through the wiring.
Love P90's. After 40 years of gigging I've gone back to using single coils. Yes you fight the noise, but the tone is far more clearer to me. Have you tried the the new AZ ibanez range yet?
Very Cool, Thankyou Jonny. Interesting Guitar, looks and sounds awesome. Nice playing. "Knoxville ?? ... As in Knoxville, Tennessee?? ... Nashville charging too much to use the name?? lol. All the Best, Cheers.
There is a bit of a music scene in Knoxville(Waves is actually headquartered there) and nearby Chattanooga, but not on the level of Nashville. My guess is the company that makes these is probably headquartered there.
Hi Jonny, you could add another £100 to the price and this guitar would still be a good deal. I'm a big P90 fan so those lead tones at the neck pickup are right up my street. It does make me wonder if there's a little fault with the wiring when you did the cleans. Seems to me the P90 and the humbucker both sounded great in their own way so when you combine them both I would have expected something a bit fatter than what we actually heard.
So, I've watched a fair few of your videos, or tried to.... Your mic sound when you speak is very bass mid, there seems to be a lot of top end missing making you very hard to hear for me. I don't know if you have a hearing issue which may account for this that you're unaware of, in 1988 I want to a Slayer gig in Newport, was the loudest gig ever performed there and I was pretty close to the stage, on my way home it felt like my ears needed to be popped, like when you're on a plane, this went on for weeks and never recovered, I found I had lost some bass sensitivity in my hearing, making men harder to hear and women easier to hear. For me I have adjusted over the years. I don't know if your mic is recorded with the correct dB, maybe an EQ issue, but it doesn't sound good when you speak it's kind of muffled. Do you normalise the vocal audio? - Your guitar recording sounds great for reference.
The mic is plugged into my phone, which I now use to film. Previously I used a camera and mic set up into an audio interface. The mic quality seems fine to me, and is better than many I have tried. As the channel grows, I will be able to upgrade mics, but for a channel that exists on a budget, right now it isn't possible. Yes, I do suffer from Tinnitus in my left ear, constantly, and do struggle with quiet and mid high pitches and I detest people whistling near me. I am sorry you have hearing issues too, but as for the channel, this is how it is currently. Thanks for your comment mate.
Damn all my comments are being deleted (I don't think they like my politics as I believe in absolute fairness not killing kids, oops- feel free to edit this)I swore I commented before on this superb looking and sounding guitar, I love this thing!
Tumbs up from Sweden!

They are brilliant guitars. I love mine
Ooooft! That's a cracker 😎👌
Exquisite choice sir!
I need Space Burst now! 😀
It is indeed mate. It's made its way into my top 5 Non Punk related guitars.
Incredibly good value for a great sounding and fantastic looking T style guitar 👍🎸😁
It is. Knew I had to get one the moment I saw it

Yeah,I agree. I may upgrade it
£140 WOW incredible value!!! Great looking!!! Good sound!!!
Yeah, it does sound great for the money to be fair
Best clean: P90.
Best distortion: Humbucker.
Thank you for another great review!
Cheers, yeah I agree there
Yay it's a neon colour like the 80s 😎
Looks like a nice guitar.

I was taught by the best.......still a bit Les Dawson in parts though lol
That is one smart looking guitar !!!
Yeah, the look first got me
It's a really interesting finish and sounds decent enough for the money. Good find 👍
Cheers mate, yeah, the finish under my lights when it shines is amazing

The body isn't that heavy, it's more the neck to be honest.
👍🏻👍🏻
Love the pickup selection great video n I guessed a tele 🤘🎸✌️🔥👏👏👏👏👏👏
Sounded good but the middle setting sounds out of phase Johnny i liked the finish 👍👍👍
is the middle setting just one of the halves of the humbucker?... a single coil of the humbucker? it's a cool guitar
@AndyThomas_mrblitz I think it is to be honest. Wiring looks fine
I've been looking at these for a hot minute. Sounds good driven, wasn't overly keen on the clean tones but who plays clean these days?! Nice video Jonny.
Cheers mate. I recommend trying one......

It is a great bit of kit

Cheers. Not looked inside yet, but will update you in Sundays live stream

Will do mate. Cheers

No, not yet mate. Might see if I can get one in for review
P90 on a Tele is a great option. They rock.
Yep, this one does
Clean = crap
Dirty = decent
Who the eff is Mick Jagger!

Very cool finish. Not that you look at the back of a guitar, but wasn't really liking the look of it. Nice video
