Hope you and yours are enjoying the hols mate! ☃👍 Actually think the Guitar looks great! I think you've improved the top! 😎👌 It reminds me a bit of the Gibson BFG LP's - best LP's I've ever tried and look killer too 😀👍
I like the "Fake Blonde" hardware where she is a blonde on her head but a brunette downstairs!😳🤔🤣 Good job. Making a working guitar from either parts or a job working guitar isn't easy. I'm in the middle of one of those projects as well. Cheers amigo!😎👍✨
Very Cool, Thankyou Jonny. Conratulations, Nice Work. Guitar Sounds Awesome, and cool playing too. You've inspired me to FINALLY order that 'Explorer' kit, online here in Australia, that I have been 'stalking' for the past 2 years lol. Order in ... YAY. Comes with 2 Pickguards too, lol ... a black one and a white one to make the choice when building kit, or 'aternate'. .... Going White Pickguard though to match Allen Collins 'Explorer' from Lynyrd Skynyrd. Hahaha. Rock On. Cheers
Hi Jonny, the guitar sounds wonderful. What was especially nice was you could hear the sound get warmer when you switched over to the neck pickup. With a lot of guitars it often makes very little difference with that amount of gain. I think it looks cool as it is, but having said that a Mick Ronson tribute guitar would be could. Funnily enough I was listening to the Ziggy Stardust album earlier today.
This is a scarred guitar. Scarred things and people have stories. Happy people have no stories (as noticed by Therapy?). This is a guitar with a story. Many thousand quid guitars dumped in some attic or basement aren't. Well done! 🤘
Oi Oi Johnny, you could try a natural to blue burst for that top, it might look killer! If it ends up looking like ass, you could try staining the natural center green for dragon burst, or stain it fully blue, or just paint a solid color over the damn thing! I hope you are satisfied wherever this project ends up. Anyhow, keep on Rocking guys! \m/
Brilliant m8.... I love a happy ending, especially at Christmas... The axe sounds great! That was the Pango kit that most tweaked my interest. Really liked the build quality, but think the original electrics let it down. Still, 'All's Well That Ends Well' as a bard from the Midlands once said! UPDATE: As I started to type you mentioned a Ronno tribute.... One word, or is it two? GOLDTOP! ;)
@@BudgetGuitarShow LOL! Meant to send a follow up to my first comment, but forgot to press 'Reply'... Will save it for the live stream... Might make you chuckle!
Redemption! I actually love that top like that. Great crunchy sound you can taste and chew on!😂 Loved the series mate im glad you kept on. That riff at 6:50 is NASTY GOOD!!....You gtta make a song with that or something for the channel!
Glad you got in finished in the end and it sounded good. I like the idea of making it into a Mick Ronson tribute guitar, maybe sand the top a bit to remove the dark patches and then clear coat it 👍🎸😄
Oi oi Jonny Sounds good to me my friend, relics not my thing, however I do like a white Les Paul but hey looks good as is, i'm currently catching up on the shows I missed, sorry my friend ✌️😎👍🎸
no loss, it works....maybe commission a 2-D artist to do a Picasso of overlapping geometric figures in pencil , then in wood burner, and different colors of paint ? but I think leave most of the "screw up" showing ...then it would seem so....but it really looks ok, as is, from the viewing distances here....it's art....not a screw up....fine as is it works. maybe pencil " jonny's screw up" small somewhere like an autograph, then carefully go over the pencil with a wood burner ..your kids would probably get two grand for it someday.
well it makes rock and roll so I think you did great Pango makes a nice kit I have a V I need to start building soon, great jams man cheers! 🤘👊🔨
Thanks 👍
"Vaseline is your friend"... Hehehe.
Can't believe it said that, lol
Hope you and yours are enjoying the hols mate! ☃👍

Hope you and Yoshi are too mate
That guitar looks quite good mate. Sanding and all. It's a relic job.
Pleased you got it sorted Jonny. Sounds good and the top is 'one of a kind' so wouldn't change that myself. 👍
I like the "Fake Blonde" hardware where she is a blonde on her head but a brunette downstairs!😳🤔🤣
Good job. Making a working guitar from either parts or a job working guitar isn't easy. I'm in the middle of one of those projects as well. Cheers amigo!😎👍✨
I wouldn't do anything to it except maybe new black tuners. I love the top and the guitar plays well so leave it as is. All the best mate😊
Look forward to seeing the guitar stained and/or painted. Great video.

The black "Flamage" looks really good with the black hardware. Your guitar sounds great too! Thanks for the video.
Cheers
It's certainly got character and a story to go with it 👍
Hope you and the Mrs are having a cool Yule ✌️😎👍🎸
Not bad mate, hope yours is good

it was a learning experience... sounds good... looks pretty cool, too... rock it!
Sounds great and looks good too, reminds me of the BFG Gibson Les Paul, and yes it would look great as a Mick Ronson tribute
Yeah, I am going ahead with that
i love this finish.
Don't give up on it. It can still be a beautiful guitar.
If all else fails, you could always paint it.
🍻
Looks strangely good mate Mick Ronson copy fab go for it happy new year to you an the missus 👍👍🤘
Hellz yeah to the Jonesy riffs!
Oh yes.

Ronnos wasn't gold, mate. It was natural.

I'll check that Riff again
Not bad and cool story on how it came about

Seasons greetings sir. Oi oi have a fantastic new year.
You too mate
Your tuners are upside down! Small screw goes on bottom pointing towards bridge! Love les pauls!! Thanks 🤘 build another fun building guitars!!
A bit more work will do the trick!
I think so too
sounds decent mate, hows the action?
Action is great, mate
We call that an operator bearing failure.
Sounds nice and to tell the truth I like the tater look looks like it’s been around

Tuners on upside down!
I know.....not anymore though
art, or a lesson learned, or both .... next time you will remember to use the copper sticky tape shielding, and vaseline on the inserts.
Got a bit of kit for you FOC. How can I get it to you? Cheers, oi oi.
Cheers, please email me at

looks good, but your tuning pegs are on upside down. the screw should be on the bottom
I know. Now corrected.
Me I’d get some wood die black or purple and rub die on it and let it go
Trim those strings! I keep expecting one to go into your eye.
I have now.
It looks fine. It almost looks intentional. The black hardware helps it work, too. Punk, in the US, is ugly, and we like it that way....haha.
Lol cheers
