Super clear, concise instructions. Thank you. Question: Imagine a car that bottomed out so hard on one side that one side of the panel (stock skirt?) got a short, narrow gash in it (portion of the skirt right behind the passenger-side) front wheel. Would you be able to install an after-market skirt on such a car and potentially mask the damage?
You’re welcome and thank you for watching the video. It all depends on how bad the gouge damage is, most likely the plastic now has holes and now is too brittle for screws. You’ll need to inspect and make the adjustments if needed, give the panel something to hold onto if screws are installed. Bondo or some type of automotive putty will be good to form a layer. Double sided tape and zip ties are sometimes used for extra strength support.
@@newtouchauto You’re amazing, subbed because I appreciate your response/vieeo, I’ll probably give the Bondo and zip ties a shot, see how it goes. Thx again
Isn't it bad to drill on the front mount skirt? I am a little bit skeptical to put this one on my car thinking I might damage the under panel cover of my car.
Warp issues normally occur when an area is forced in a different direction or is over tightened. The key for a successful finish will be to install the kit correctly without force.
Most will come with a warranty but I can’t speak for the sellers and the quality of their products. Warping will determine how well you mount your screws, if you force pieces in directions that’ll cause issues then it will happen.
Do your car how (you) want your car, always. There will always be one car enthusiast group with something to say. Good video.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and watching the video.

When it’s done correctly you won’t have any issues, with the proper sized screws be sure to drill in the most secured areas.
Any issues in an area with high heat and humidity with some warping / twisting?

How good are these splitters and side skirts off amazon long term? Do they warp in extreme hot weather conditions? Do they break in the extreme cold?

I wish I knew how you got it on jacks stands like that
And how the hell you take it down lol
A lift jack aligned to the middle between the front and rear wheels, do one side at a time.
What exactly was the kit you used for this ?
Thanks for watching the video, you can find the link in the description where it can be purchased.
Another good video!
Thanks and I appreciate that.
It looks GENERIC it would of looked much better painted the same color as the car
I agree, the same color would’ve made the car look fuller.
nah that’d be too much of the same color. it needs to be all black
Does adding skirts void the car's warranty tho?
Yes, any aftermarket installation on a vehicle will void the warranty.
@@newtouchauto how bout OEM Skirts?
@@k1ng953 I would assume any modifications, it would be best to confirm it with them before installing.
What splitter is this now ?
@kjjohnson392 I’m not sure but the link is in the description, it’s listed for a Dodge Charger also.
Super coolll Skirt Body Kit Where did you buy that color from a friend?
Thanks for watching the video, the color was coded to the actual vehicle color. Amazon was where it was ordered from.
looks way better after
I agree and thanks for watching the video.
Do you know how much if I have this customized in a shop?
I can’t pinpoint a quote but I’d say anywhere between $400-800. That’s including the paint
