- We need to kill an immortal god…Wait! WHAT! How do you kill an immortal let alone a god!?!? Cultist are summoning an Elder One to devour the world. In order for you and your fellow investigators to succeed the one chance you all have is to interrupt the ritual long enough to strike the Elder One dead!

Thank you for covering this. I finally got a copy for a decent price. Lost in this very same scenario.
@44:52 you pulled a Mythos card that said move fire vampire and summon fire vampire. You moved and summoned an extra creature , not just the fire vampire. Unless you didn't read the Card out loud all the way.
I really love this game. Though I lose most of the time but it's always close.
It is challenging. I agree with you most of my games have been super close for the most part;)
My favorite CMON game by leaps and bounds! I think S1E1 shouldn't be the suggested first scenario though with all the fire immediately present. I would be interested in seeing some of the characters from the comic to see how they rate in comparison with others.

@20:45 : is Borden allowed to go past her maximum Stress ?
There has been a lot of talk in forums about the amount of stress each character has and I have always played that way. not sure if that is correct or not I will have to check with the designer the next time I see him;) Thanks for watching and for the question.
@@LearntoPlayGames It's quite explicit in the rules that once max stress is reached that is it. It cannot be used for re-rolls until the character has rested or it is removed in another way. The slots on the board are maximums.
Do you summon enemies who died? Like I killed 10 cultists then I draw mythos card to summon cultist do you summon them at portal?
I want this game so bad, but cannot find it for a decent price. It's always around $200. I love lovecraftian themed games
I am surprised they haven't done another Kickstarter for this game yet to reprint it and add some more content. It is a great game.
Your voice pitch is perfect, and your pace is pretty good and easy to follow. However, for a learn to play video, you skipped over the steps for how to play-how to set up the board, how to start the game, etc.
