FINALLY getting around to playing this (with double the content arriving in less than a year and having still not played even a single game, figured it was time)! Great, easy-to-follow primer! THX!
Thankyou for showing the clearest and most concise introduction and explanation on u tube of the mechanics of this great looking game have just subscribed and look forward to seeing your playthroughs ! Regards from the cornish creeper
Thanks Cornish Creeper! Sometimes the explanations and playthroughs go well ... and sometimes I'm driven into madness! Either way, I really love this game. Thanks again, and I hope to highlight more games!
Dale the Casual Gamer o ok yeah I was hoping amazon might be selling them separate but couldn’t find anything, the game is in the mail should be here this weekend so are you enjoying it ? Is that your go to game right now ?
It's one of my favorite games. It hits on all levels for me, and I do enjoy it more since it is really popular in my game group. Even when we lose, we all have had a great time, and it can get brutal ... but when someone gets there crazy combo to go off, it's awesome! :) Hope you enjoy it!!
Dale the Casual Gamer good I’m glad I made the right choice cause it was pretty pricey, the last game I bought I didn’t really enjoy to much, Descent was a little to complicated for me, to many complex rules and loop holes to deal with and some of the mechanics were not enjoyable especially since I went at it alone with the app, I might give it another try some day though
@@DaletheCasualGamer So you only have FOUR wounds before you die and get an automatic game over for the entire group? A standard enemy can do that to you on its opening roll. That doesn't feel right...
@@DaletheCasualGamer Thanks. We played our first game last night against Dagon at 4 players. He plays quite a bit different, so nice to see the Old Ones offer a large variety. We won, but damned if it wasn't close and MY guy perished for the cause.
Hi you added a second Byakhee when you were showing how the Mythos card works ..but I see that there is only one Byakhee as part of the scenario ..just wondering if that is correct ? ..excellent video THX
Thanks for watching! Yes. The set-up card only shows monsters initially put on the board. All other monsters of those types are put in reserve to ruin your day later in the game. ;)
Wait. During Rasputin’s turn you rolled 3 black and 1 green die, scoring 2 successes, 1 sanity and 1 blank... you said he can only target one cultist at a time (currently) so one dies... you then stress to reroll the sanity die and score a success, which removes a second cultist. But if it’s a reroll it should still be targeting the first cultist, so how are you killing a second one?
Not sure what point of the game you are referring to, but early game he could target one enemy, late game he has upgraded his abilities to target multiple enemies. Hope this helps.

Have fun!! Most of our games, we tend to have to sacrifice a player for a chance at winning … so good luck!! :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer we play SCADS of Eldritch Horror, so going out in a blaze of glory is old hat! LOL
I love the look of this game and can’t believe I missed the Kickstarters
Thanks! EXCELLENT how to play video!
Thanks for watching and best of luck against Cthulhu!
one of the best things about this game is the easy and fast set up. great video!
Agreed! Even with all the components, the way the game is organized, set-up is not an issue at all with this game!
Thanks for watching!
Great job, Dale! Very clear setup and play instructions. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! And my next task is to remember the rules as I go insane playing. ;)
Excellent. I feel like I'm ready to play the game now. 🎲
Good luck keeping your sanity!! :)
I love how they packaged the games separate episodes. Such a great purchase.
@Charles R I also love that on each episode and monster box, they show the components for each. Such a major help in packing the game up. :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer this is true. One of the things I hate about fantasy flight games is putting everything up lol.
Have you tried out season 2 yet?
I'm thinking of preemptively getting it. I feel like it may be hard to find.
@@zer0zer082 I've got everything except the BIG Cthuhlu miniature. Wishing I would have backed that with the original kickstarter.

@idjester Glad you liked it! This really is a fun game!! Hope you enjoy!
Great work
Thank you so much 😀
My English are not 1st lang, but i understand your explanation thanks!!!
I'm trying to find the game to buy it!!
@john ioannis. Good luck! :)
Do those plastic overlays only come with the kickstarter extras or do they come with the core box ?
They came in the "Unspeakable Box" which I believe was a Kickstarter exclusive.

😀 🔝 🤗 🆒 😉
Do you start with the tentacles already on your stress and health, or do you only add it once you finally take your first one?
The tokens will start on the board, so the first spot is “no damage/no stress”. Hope this helped!

Gotta save some stress for monster attacks. See Rulebook on page 10, item 9 for reference. Setup picture shows an example. Good luck!

How do you get rid of the fire on your person?
You discard the fire tokens after you roll to see if you take fire damage. Hope that helps, and happy gaming!
