    This is a Panzer IV ausf.G mid/late production not an F.
    I built one of these back in August for a Kursk diorama 1st SS Pz.Div.LSSAH turret no. 521.
    Same Zvezda kit with metal tracks from Masterclub decals from Echelon , paints Tamiya and Vallejo Air, figures from Tamiya Alpine and MiniArt. Weathering using oils, pigments , enamels and LifeColor clay based liquid pigments(highly recommend).
    I love watching your videos and I've said it before and say it again you give me loads of ideas for future products and thanks for sharing your work.

    You must be very pleased with the result...it's terrific! Really enjoyed the whole process....so glad you didn't go overboard with the weathering as quite often is the case with armour (not all of them were filthy in reality!) Great job so thanks for sharing.

    Love the tutorial however adding important facts like paint to thinner mix and the air brush needle size and pressure used would really set you apart from the rest and turn your tutorial into a master class.
    Great job on this tank!!

    • @ctscalemodellinguk
      @ctscalemodellinguk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cheers for watching, I sometimes add psi etc, 90% of the time I use 0.3 needle. When I first started airbrushing I found it useful but I certainly am no master or pro builder. Just try to keep things simple.

    Great job!! I did a similar Panzer IV. But it's by Tamiya, a G model with no Schurzen (side skirts). I did it in Afrika Korps so dunkel grau as the base coat with XF-93, their 1942 DAK Yellow Brown as the finish color. Pretty happy with it. Still have to glue some tools on.
    I have a Tamiya Panther to build. Thanks for sharing about the brown. I wasn't sure which one to use. I know they have an XF-90 but a lot of people don't like it. I may try to mix a dash of black like you did to darken it some. And use some leftover on the tracks. That's great advice! 👍

      Cheers glad it helped a bit, i have built a couple of german 3 tone camos since posting this. I tend to dull the 3 tones down with a light mist after painting, acts like a filter a bit joining the 3 colours together. Appreciate you taking the time to comment.🙂

    I bought the 1/35 Panzer 4 Ausf G kit from Border models ,it was there first kit and i might follow this paint scheme when i build it. Very well done and weathering is on par with mine,i weather basically the same as you.

      Cheers, i’m trying to move away for pigments, am experimenting with a 3tone camo on a Horch 4x4. Have posted a few photos only so far, but the weathering will be using some gouache paints.🙂 hope u enjoy building your pzIV 👍

    I'm just a beginner and I am in awe of your work. Did you coat the model at the end of the entire process with a flat clear coat or leave it as it is?

    • @ctscalemodellinguk
      @ctscalemodellinguk  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi thanks for watching my channel. Its a tricky one when you use pigments as the flat coat can change the colour and effect. Really it needs to be sealed, so if you use ak ultra matte varnish lightly from a distance it may be ok. In my later videos I’m using pigments less or using them with thinners. Hope this helps
