    As much as I love the Active 2.0, $350 for what I would deem as only a car wash tool since I can't get the higher PSI for heavy duty, I feel the V52 or even a Ryobi is better for me since I don't have a business or use in a professional setting

    • @timkinley1779
      @timkinley1779 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      It is specifically designed for 2gpm at 1000psi and 200 hours. Nothing more, nothing less. No where in the advertising does it claim to be a do-it-all.

      Cost perspective like you said, as a consumer for home use applications and not simply for washing vehicles you are absolutely correct. There is so much more value that you can get out of a for example gas pressure washer to clean your house sidings your concrete, etc. But when you are simply looking to wash something that doesn’t require high pressure (washing a vehicle) this is the absolute best in terms of price to performance.

      I was thinking about this as well… ryobi $100 vs active $330.. 1.4 GPM vs 2.0 GPM. 900 PSI vs 1050 PSI… I might stick with my ryobi and save some cash.

  • @indetailcarcaresolutions3770
    @indetailcarcaresolutions3770 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Nice work Josh, but running that generator would drive my clients and their neighbours nuts. Surely this client could let you plug into his power and water. I haven’t got one client that doesn’t let me connect to their power and water. FYI I run a Karcher K2 with your UberFlex update (bought from your links) and its been unbelievably good. I’ve already done about 100 hours with it and it hasn’t skipped a beat. It’s the best $AUD129 I’ve spent in my setup. It replaced a Ryobi very heavy 2400psi machine with a hose reel that has been relegated to paver cleaning around the house (and the thing I trip over most in my storage area 😂😂😂) Lloyd

    • @PolishedMobileDetailing503
      @PolishedMobileDetailing503 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For interior work a lot of the times you will overload the clients power supply and that’s very unprofessional. I use an inverter generator that’s the most quiet piece of equipment I run. The air compressor is far louder. As far as my business goes I can’t function without my self sustaining ways.

Upon plugging the water inlet into the active 2.0, and connecting the active gun, I get no water through my system and the pressure washer sounded like it was working super hard and could not prime. I'm confused as to why you would opt for this type of setup when you still have to run a gas generator constantly. I would think at that point have a gas powered pressure washer and battery powered tools (blower and such). It works either way, it just seems like an extra step with the generator is all.
    Love the videos btw, keep up the great informative work please!
    Edit/addition: You could also work everything off of an inverter with a battery bank powered by solar on the roof and having it charge off your alternator when the vehicle is running. Just an idea if someone would ever want to get away from having a generator or loud pressure washer.

    Good afternoon Josh! Today I just received my mjjc foam cannon and I tried it out for like 8 seconds then after there was no foam coming out of it just water. I followed all instructions and nothing else did I do that would cause any harm. Can you please help me out with this? Can I return it? Or get and exchange?

    Eager to see the long term usage/durability of that PW; although looks like it has the same 2 year warranty as the V52, they could have at least added 1 more year to the warranty since it's supposed to last twice as long. Still great price for performance. The greenworks 2300 has a 3 year warranty (and 10 for the motor) but I hear they have dreadful customer service; on the other hand I've heard Active has really good customer service.

      @@MasrSR The materials are here for sure so are the engineers and architects with a building plan, so it's a money issue. Some people have to build according to their resources. It's like in the states, you have mobile homes and when you have a hurricane or a tornado, Which do you think will suffer? The less resistant, and in the states most homes aren't able to withstand over a category 3 because normally they don't have this type of hurricanes or even tornadoes until they happen. They are built to withstand cold temperatures and are built from wood because is less expensive and do not crack with freezing temperatures like happens with concrete. So now you see many homes in Florida, low Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas how homes are built more resistant to these types of situations.

      We would definitely say (as noted above) that this for most any and all home applications is ideal - not just auto cleaning. If you need more pressure, go gas.

      I have the cheaper Amazon Basics foam cannon I found on Josh’s link and wanted to make sure I am using the right orifice for it since I just ordered a new Active 2.0 from Cameron who was very helpful. So for my Amazon basics foam cannon can I use a 1.1mm or what size orifice should I use for my foam cannon to get the most foam without hurting the pump or anything on the Active? Thanks in advance

    I'm so on the fence with the 2.0 and the v52 because I won't be using it in a professional setting and the numbers are so dang close. The 100 dollar difference has me stuck lol. Have now used this to clean house siding and it performed well th-cam.com/users/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX I also bought some wand extensions which enabled higher washing without needing a ladder. I recommend both. This unit arrived quickly, was easy to assemble (only had to attach the handle), and arrived in perfect condition. The only very slight downgrade from a perfect score is the design has a low handle and requires pulling from the side. My old washer was an upright model, while this one is more horizontal. Other than that, it's perfect for my needs. It has a great deal of pressure and more easily cleaned the house siding, porch rails and concrete than did my older model. The engine is a bit louder, as well, but the total time to clean was reduced by the more powerful spray. Did I mention it starts on the first or second pull every time?!! I am definitely happy with this model.
