- Hey folks, Angra here! World PvP in Ashes of Creation-a bold design choice or a potential dealbreaker for casual players? In my last video, I explored why World PvP is integral to Ashes and how systems like corruption aim to deter griefing. But the community had a lot to say about the risks this approach carries.
In this follow-up, I address concerns about World PvP making the game unplayable for casual players and fears that Ashes of Creation could repeat the mistakes of past MMOs. Are the corruption and Blight systems enough to stop griefers? Can Intrepid Studios create a balanced experience that caters to both PvPers and PvEers? Honestly... I've only been killed by another player twice. Both times they went corrupt and they never killed me again... sure the possibility is there but it doesn't happen often honestly
Yeah, I only got ganked once so far myself. I feel like the systems are working as intended as it stands. We need to wait and see if it stays that way once the game releases and the floodgates open to a much larger audience, but I'm feeling optimistic about it. :)

The mindset of "get off my game carebear" is why we end up with dead pvp mmos.
@@ZekethePhoenix no this is the mindset of there is already games out there that appeal to the type you want to play its called wow they release a expansion every year. These types of games dont come around very often and ashes is based on a game called archage. Dont try and change it into wow. The people that are truly fans of ashes dont want another wow. Please if you are bored of the current version of wow, ill simply ask you wait another 8 months for a different verison. While i have been waiting 8 years for another mmo like this to come around, and here you are crying about open world concepts. Please go play wow
@@ZekethePhoenix New world listened to carebears now they have concurrent playerbase of 100 people and dont even have swimming, so go play that game as carebears killed that one turning a open world game into a theme park
