Hoping and praying animations change depending on the subclass. For ex: as a necromancer the glowy healing light particle effects should change to something a bit more… Necro. Like pale green, “death light.” Or even blood light.
i will be playing a wild blade for sure, although i have heard the brood warden has an ability to summon a swarm of beetles as your tank armor which is very intriguing.
Oh man, they're gonna have such a good time trying to balance every single one of those classes. And what about when they decide to release DLC, they will add more? XD good luck with that
Communication's been pretty solid tbh, yes it looks a bit bad to announce dates and then go back on it, but meh that's life and things won't always go to plan with so many moving parts. I don't get any "faceless, nameless corporation" vibes at all. Pretty constant open comm with the man at the head of it all, and several other key players. So.. I'm happy still. If they decide they need some more time, fine, take it. Winter is a great time for gaming anyway.
i love the idea of a sumon i have a full time summon and a part time one at the same time BUT like only a few other spells. so almost everythign is your sommons.
Looks like too big of an emphasis on the cleric and tank classes to me. I hope they make so you can clear the content without the need of these classes in party... As an example : You could do the dungeon without a healer, you will kill monsters faster but you need to take time to regen in between fights. However if you take a healer you kill monsters slower but you dont need downtime. In any case you would complete the dungeon at the same pace.
i think pushing for group play is the intent of the system, however the use of augments will allow a secondary archetype cleric to soft heal in place of a dedicated cleric. (same with tanking)
@@lionelpil8707 I totally get the desire for that. It’s what I’m used to. I think they’re going for that old school approach where group composition matters and everyone can’t do everything. Maybe if you’re DPS are good enough, you have a good summoner, or cleric secondary augments it’ll be possible
I like the oldschool approach. You wanna run dungeons and raids? Better bring good healers and tanks. The role division trinity is great because it forces you to think about group play when building your character. Otherwise you get too much emphasis on dps classes.
I'm mad intrigued by the secondary augments, and specifically by the tank. I play for pvp and wouldn't usually look twice at a tank class but Intrepid's fresh look at the tank role has be well interested. Planning Ranger main but curious to see how a Tank secondary could compliment it.
@@jinglyjones1677 yea I could see that. Maybe a ranger dishing out damage, but get some mitigation augments. Snipe hitting grants mitigation. Or better yet maybe after using the evasive backflip or airstrike u double your resistances or evasion stats 👀 I really hope it transforms your skills
@@Nyce-Gaming yeah right now I'm thinking.. of course self-heals are OP in PvP, but the heals on a secondary are likely to be relatively weak for that reason, so mitigation might actually be more effective Vs burst damage. Depends on so many things! Which is why the theory crafting just never gets old!
Definitely looking forward to playing the Bard. Really curious how all the separate subclasses for Bard will feel though and which one would best match my playstyle. Hard for me to predict how they would all differ.
@@Nyce-Gaming For sure, I imagine a lot of Bard players are going to want to go all in with the support role and choose Cleric as a secondary class. I imagine that's my most likely pick, but also really hoping there will be some compelling alternative classes that could have some unique strengths and playstyles of their own.
Tank+Summoner is the idea, max agro and spawn a bunch of minions that will tick damage, imagine imps from WOW but they don't despawn and you can tank for them
@@monsterpke857 top 5 mmo isnt exactly saying much lol the genre has been dead for a long time, but regardless there's no possible metric that ESO is top 5 in, where are you getting these stats besides out of your ass ?
I'm betting Mage/Cleric will work like a damage-healerthough Fire, Burning and Conflageration like Attonement priests in WoW heal with Smite or how mage healer in WoW Classic SoD heal. And the current fire mage playstyle is dot stacking heavy. Would be insane for sustaining a party through hots. No direct healing but offhealer. Would reduce a "one cleric each group" stacking mandate as well.
@@Nyce-Gaming i would settle for just a group heal leech on fire damage personally. Let the bard/mage put more powerful shields as they dps, would be more thematic. If we get melee magical weapons like mana-forged swords , basically swords that deal magic damage that scsle with Int could also suffice. imagine a fire mage with a flaming mana sword healing as they cleave. Obviously with party in mind not raid. Throw in a Bard's Power Infusion (w/e the haste spell buff is I call it the WoW pries name 😅) some msna regen snd spell crit chance and that fire mage is cooking. Either way, sacrificing dps on subclass for group sustain would be great on mage and relax the need for "a cleric per group".
im thinking about the falconeer, however, i might try the bow singer. imagine an arrow type that when you aim it at an enemy it causes bleeding, but if you aim it at an ally, it buffs them.
Doesn't really matter how many classes there will be, there's always a meta that people will flock to until it inevitably gets nerfed to the ground and forces people to the next new meta.
The multiclass thing scares me….this will be insane hard to balance. I think most pvp will go for the mage blink option when they can. Being a rogue or tank and being able to blink in and out of melee is insane powerfull. I fear that the girst nerf they place in
@@dannydejongh9408 yea I get that. Truly depends on how transformative these abilities truly turn out to be upon choosing that secondary augment. I feel if u balance the archetypes themselves then it’s simple to balance the augments. Easier said than done for sure though lol
It's not 64 classes. It's a Main Class/Sub Class system. Combining them doesn't give you unique "class" based skills. It just gives you access to the skills of whichever two classes you picked. So they're really only balancing 8 classes.
what would be interesting to see is what will be the difference from going for example Fighter-Mage vs going Mage-Fighter.. cause one is called Battlemage and one is called Spellsword, even though both are a combination of the same achetypes.
@@darealrulezbreaker9493 so essentially since the secondary doesn’t add new abilities we can figure it out So fighter mage: your spin to win aoe is now lighting damage and leaves a lightning aoe on the ground. A direct example from the devs was the fighter gap close will be a ‘blink’ towards the target rather than a charge. Mage-fighter: tough one to theorycraft but you’ll be augmenting your mage spells 🤔 maybe the blink applies a bleed to people you pass through. Maybe a spell like ball lightning gets more speed 🤔 tough one
@@Nyce-Gaming ah ok, i see. So its unlikely that you will gain additional spells or abilities from picking the secondary in addition to the spells and abilities of your primary
a general thing, as a german on an EU server wanting to communicate with my language-peers and in "international" diplomacy in english, i don't think i'm gonna learn 128 vocabularies of the classes and assume that my com-partner has the same overview about everything... it will always be a tank-fighter, a double-cleric or a ranger-bard (and so on) we will be talking about...
ok the mage is better and better in its effects; the ideas are starting to get there; you can use rooting while channelling as balance and it looks better than gliding around ^^ lichdom: battlemage honestly has the best mage setup ive felt (because its a stacking off dmg multipliers, CC's, and then a trigger which creates huge dmg and effects; which feel extremely good when you built up your spells and then get a huge effect in a burst).

The class system of ArcheAge consists of eleven skillsets, from which players can select three to create one of the 220 possible classes.
Same logic as lineage2. Good times! Glad to see this type of classes.
Can’t wait to test like each one lol
Hoping and praying animations change depending on the subclass. For ex: as a necromancer the glowy healing light particle effects should change to something a bit more… Necro. Like pale green, “death light.” Or even blood light.
i will be playing a wild blade for sure, although i have heard the brood warden has an ability to summon a swarm of beetles as your tank armor which is very intriguing.

Oh man, they're gonna have such a good time trying to balance every single one of those classes. And what about when they decide to release DLC, they will add more? XD good luck with that
Hopefully the Necromancer (Summoner+ Cleric) will be an actual Necromancer that involves actually using Undead minions, unlike some other MMOs.
We need to see how secondary subclass will affect this kit.
@@mr.q337 yea I can’t wait to test what each archetype as a secondary brings to the kit
I dont care if they arent balanced. Every class dosnt need to be equal. They just need to be good at what they do and something unique to them
@@HyperMODX this is the key I feel. I won’t each one to genuinely feel unique. Not just a cool name. That’d be satisfying
I like the idea of Templar. Maybe something like a D&D Paladin class. Always my favorite.

Thanks! this means a lot :)
Looks like too big of an emphasis on the cleric and tank classes to me.
I hope they make so you can clear the content without the need of these classes in party...
As an example :
You could do the dungeon without a healer, you will kill monsters faster but you need to take time to regen in between fights.
Hard for me to predict how they would all differ.
yea it’s tough to predict currently. my shot in the dark is that bard-cleric will be the way 👀 a support master

@@anaximanderification mage cleric sounds sooo sick. Imagine healing off some of those ranged spells or your damage shield

@@dannydejongh9408 yea I get that. Truly depends on how transformative these abilities truly turn out to be upon choosing that secondary augment. I feel if u balance the archetypes themselves then it’s simple to balance the augments. Easier said than done for sure though lol

Good luck balancing 64 classes
It's not 64 classes. It's a Main Class/Sub Class system.
Combining them doesn't give you unique "class" based skills. It just gives you access to the skills of whichever two classes you picked.
So they're really only balancing 8 classes.
will be as easy as just balancing the 8 archetypes. From there is balancing the augment power imo

what would be interesting to see is what will be the difference from going for example Fighter-Mage vs going Mage-Fighter.. cause one is called Battlemage and one is called Spellsword, even though both are a combination of the same achetypes.
@@darealrulezbreaker9493 so essentially since the secondary doesn’t add new abilities we can figure it out
So fighter mage: your spin to win aoe is now lighting damage and leaves a lightning aoe on the ground.
So its unlikely that you will gain additional spells or abilities from picking the secondary in addition to the spells and abilities of your primary

a general thing, as a german on an EU server wanting to communicate with my language-peers and in "international" diplomacy in english, i don't think i'm gonna learn 128 vocabularies of the classes and assume that my com-partner has the same overview about everything... it will always be a tank-fighter, a double-cleric or a ranger-bard (and so on) we will be talking about...

ok the mage is better and better in its effects; the ideas are starting to get there; you can use rooting while channelling as balance and it looks better than gliding around ^^
