Like many of your loyal followers I started watching this young guy on the Goldie build and fish from Pipe Dreams many years ago. Timmy Turtle has since been taking us along on all those adventures culminating in the brilliant boat build series which introduced the world to George, a true diamond of a man and quintessentially FNQ through and through. @@tedjames2534 harsh. I don’t agree at all. I’m pretty sure Tim knows he’s got a lot of fans, way more in the positive vibes camp. I simply dont think he’s that shallow. I heard three things. 1. The expense of it was killing him. 2. Mostly because of the atrocious weather, and lastly (and quite the opposite of this idea) too many do gooding knob heads dobbed him in for innocent mistakes. The guy is so humble & a genuine lovely person that he didn’t say “why the fuck would you dob me in, instead of letting me know of the breach! I don’t blame him at all wanting a break …but no way has this got anything to do with not speaking up!

It’s funny mate. Your old videos fishing the canals on the raft are what propelled me into fishing. There’s honestly nothing in terms of content that has hit the same as that did and it’s been awesome watching your knowledge build through boat building and new adventures. I’m at the same cross roads as you right now in terms of boat ownership. They become an expensive burden if they aren’t seeing the water every week. Wish you all the best and hopefully run into you some day back down on the coast.

Been a good escape for me being a poor victorian stuck fishing for whiting in the rain (river GT lord!). Unfortunately social media has truly ruined many aspects of fishing and hunting.
People just see the big boat, the big fish and get jealous, it’s pathetic. You took the chances, you lived rough and financially struggled. None of the jealous fucks did that.
Your skiff build inspired me to do my own project boat which I then sold and bought a better boat.

Timmy, we met briefly at a boat ramp, I helped you load your raft on your Commodore and I've followed you since that day. You've shown us your genuine character throughout the whole journey up until this point.

Gotta say I have loved watching you mate, as well as George and Bretto. Enjoyed ever since the ply skiff build, through to the NSW journey and beyond. You've made the right call doing what's best for you - enjoy it and can't wait for the head of the river threadies on video in the tinny! When you know, you know.. i had an online business for 9 years on ebay which was successful but absolutely did my head in. I pulled the pin a few years ago, sold everything i owned and hit the road.. best decision i ever made. It took a while but i feel alive again!!

You've gone and done what so many people have dreamed of.
Going back to SE Qld will be a good refresh for you; you can focus on yourself, and be more casual, and not feel the anxiety and pressure of expenses, income and BS if you ever want to go back to making vids. You built your fanbase in SE QLD, and I for one will watch you fish (or rebuild motors) from anywhere.
Plus Rod is down there too - your guys' vids together are awesome.
