Loving the invasion of the American 4x4s. Silverado Zr2 owner here. I think the 2500 would be hard work as a daily. Interesting to see how its goes on the Aussie tracks. I've taken my Zr2 1500 on same tracks as 79 and it gets it down, sometimes just. Not because of capability but pure size. Love it Team explore life
Get the banks air intake horn .. the issue is the grid heater bolt rots off and ends up in cyl 6 fubaring your engine .. the banks intake gets rid of this issue
Love the new rig. Can't wait to see how well it goes touring round OZ. I've been using the Duetto water heater for 3 years. it's awesome, takes 15-20 mins when using the inverter (240 volts) or an hour when using solar (12 volts).
Great build mate. The only thing I’d change is swap the kitchen with the fridge. Seems strange why you have to walk around the kitchen to get to the fridge. Just a thought. Love your work
Well done ya bastard! 😂 Just jealous, that's all. Best setup I've seen since the 'Pat Keg' gig. Can't wait to see how she fits down Patrol/Cruiser tracks. Hope it goes well mate. Cheers, dd
bruz thats not what this channel is for, there's 100s of budget channels out there this clearly is not a channel focused on budget builds and thats how it should stay
This channel is for me to build what I enjoy! From 5k to 350k and probably more next time. I love building 4x4s Boats Offroad trailers and then enjoy having fun with them. If you don’t like it carry on to a budget channel the content is free 😂
Thats a big rig m8. And it is new ell set out But just to pop it into perspective that big rig is my house. Now also i realise that what u have spent is equivalent to a landcruiser n big van ensom. All in all well put together n u will get the use out of it
Been following for a long time and was great meeting you and having chat at Perth 4wd show 2 years ago. Sad to say the unachievable excessive builds by most of you guys on TH-cam is honestly starting to change how good the episodes are to watch for me. Not hating just my opinion
thanks for the feedback mate. It doesn't matter to us what the vehicle is as long as we're getting outt there but this vehicle is the safest option for what we want to be towing
Can you not take any enjoyment from watching an awesome rig like this? It's not in my budget either, but surely there is some interest for you. Maybe even a light build, RTT set up, suspension, or wait for it, just seeing a great rig for what it's worth. These guys have to keep the lights on, this helps that. They've done heaps of cheap builds as have other content makers. Sometimes it's not always about you, and that's okay....
You probably don’t need anymore HP out of the engine but definitely delete the adblue and EGR Get a banks power ram intake Upgrade the intercooler especially with 3 lights blocking flow in front put a cooler with a fan on it on your transmission. You’ll thank me later for that ♥️ Install a 2 micron fuel filter prior to engine OEM filter Especially for where you’re going. Cummins do not love shit fuel
Amazing job Matt you have done a stellar job on my car 😂I’m just waiting for you to drop it off as I’m in wa 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I think nav said he would bring it over 😜
Awesome rig Matty. 1st world problem I know, but with the drawers in the canopy (passenger side) did you consider having the release buttons (the yellow ones) as single hand release instead of needing both hands? From experience it saves you from having to put your beer down. 😂. Keep up the great content 🤙🏼
You have the extra storage for chairs and table, you need something about 1m - 1.5m long to stand on as that kitchen is way too high. Otherwise, greet job on the truck.
Couldnt agree more, im also of the opinion that if you go driving one of these around pretty good chance you'll need to upgrade to the dual cab within 6-9months 💦
End of the day 350k single cab Ute. Won’t go anywhere or do anything better or more than what a 35k Ute in any form can do. Says you want to do the big builds etc but I reckon you’ll gain more appreciation doing your trips in a “regular Aussies” 4x4 and doing your trips in that and see how you really go then. Don’t get me wrong I’ll still watch all these youtubers/influences for the locations they go to but it’s all a race to outdo and 1 up the other channels and stay relevant. How did we survive camping in swag with an esky and tarp back in the day? Or maybe it was all we needed before the cameras came out? Call me a hater but just my 2 cents worth.
Definitely not about what’s the biggest and craziest build. I have just as much fun if not more in our budget builds! for us this is a challenge as well as the safest option with what we’re planning to tow 👍
I respect the idea of bigger, better and advancing your channel and clickbait. Which you do fantastic at (no hate). But i feel you showed a more authentic passion when you got to build the 79 series. As if it was your actual dream. Now you're just doing side quests, haha 🤙
Navs needs a hot water shower? I just watched him spend 3 days living in a shelter built out of sticks and leaves! Can't wait to see more episodes with this awesome rig!
These TH-cam channels are turning more into 'look at me, look at me', instead of showing off the beautiful country we live in. Everything's sponsored content, mostly out of the everyday Australians price point in this current market
Ever watched a car builders show ? Imagine if they just built what every day aussies drive 😂 I love building the baddest 4wds boats trailers I don’t like building what everyone else has I love the challenge of building something unique and then we use the shit out of our projects.
We are currently building a Hilux which is what an average AUSSIE owns most of. But I like building the best rigs I possibly can so that’s why I built it for me not for anyone else 🤙
What a machine looks like it will concour all, must be honest at that price i would be too scared to take it off road and get damaged 😭. All the way from SA, South Africa 💪
Mint truck we saw it at the Brisbane show when we were foing Queensland east coast trip this yr but a bit big for us up here in the uk!! My y61 struggles on some of out tight lanes( tracks) being a bit too big
Needs an ice maker to be the ultimate tourer. The rigs and content are amazing keep up the great work. Look forward to seeing what you do in the future.

It’s not a problem the cooking is still level enough I could do bags on the front but not needed. Bigger lift allows bigger tires which improves offroad capability 👌
Great looking rig! All the haters are just secretly jealous. Can't wait to see it on the Tele track
Take a shot every time he says “game changer” looks like I’m having tomorrow ooff
Your welcome 🍻
Came here to say the same 🤣🤣

ZR2 2500 Owner. Same width as the 1500. But longr, taller and heavier. Turning radius and weight in mud would be the biggest issues.
Absolutely mint there Matt, such an awesome looking rig! Hope to see you boys up in Darwin after your cape trip!
Get the banks air intake horn .. the issue is the grid heater bolt rots off and ends up in cyl 6 fubaring your engine .. the banks intake gets rid of this issue

My son and I had a drinking game , when you said "Guys" , fucken hammered 😂
😂😂
or any buzz word he says
Great build mate. The only thing I’d change is swap the kitchen with the fridge. Seems strange why you have to walk around the kitchen to get to the fridge. Just a thought. Love your work
You nailed it 3min into the video. "It is achievable, and doable if that is your dream"
Well said 👏
Folding Splash back on the cook top, you should bring it to the west and test it on the Gibb River Road. 👌
I'd love to see this monster on the Canning Stock Route. Have fun with it and enjoy it mate.
On the list 🙌
Looks amazing, good to see the girls giving the boys a run for their money 👍👍
Sort out the cam lifter issue they have be my biggest tip there's a solid tappet conversion before it destroys cam.....
Well done ya bastard! 😂 Just jealous, that's all. Best setup I've seen since the 'Pat Keg' gig. Can't wait to see how she fits down Patrol/Cruiser tracks. Hope it goes well mate.

Cheers mate 🍻🍻
Just me but my perfect setup will include an Icemaker. Coffee once a day, Whiskey many many times a night
Would be primo! 😵
The evolution of explore life Matty, big channel, big truck, love ya work and keep up the good work bud 👍 as always 🍻🍻
Get rid of the grid heater in the cummins and do the BANKS POWER upgrade!
Also only place I don't see it going is gunshot. Probably perfect wheelbase for it just a fraction wide haha
To see how far you've become mate, is bloody inspiring. And the ram is on point Matty🤙
Thanks mate!
This is next generation type of 4x4 . Dream Rig!
Bring it down to the Vic High Country snow wheeling test those 37s awesome job on the build 👌🏻
Sounds good 💪
Do more affordable builds for the average Aussie.
Coming soon 👍
I saw one yesterday, shitbox rusty 4.5l 80 series, he paid for the explore life window sticker, so was killing it...

Goddddddd
You really think he paid for everything on it? Most of it is free from sponsors
@@jaydinireland8491 Ofc ik that. But they did the hard yard creating the brand and getting the sponsors.
The altimate touring vehicle here in Straya is my 2006 Ford Courier 4x4 2.5 ltr ute mate.😂
Hard to beat 😂
Very nice rig, but I don't work for the CFMEU
You've outdone yourself with this one mate, nice rig
Thanks mate, can’t wait to use it!
Epic setup, love the liveability of the canopy with so much thought put into it to be so practical. Look forward the touring videos to come🇳🇿
To build a ram aev builds the best setup in my opinion factory supported by ram 3in lift 40" tires
Yeah those are awesome hey!
Yes the American trucks have a place in Australia. I remember your podcast you did with trip in a van and Justin said that they won’t take off ! Hmmm
Get a banks monster ram intake manifold with grid heater delete.
That's an awesome build. Everything looks very well thought out.
Appreciate it mate! Lots of time and effort has gone into it 🙌
Hey man how i can get that front bumper? I dont see any link or website
I love all you have done with this build. I thought I had my Power Wagon built up but yours is next level.
Top episode mate! And let’s see the big girl do tassels

Air fryer would be a game changer for camping with that power setup
You rate them? Have never used one Offgrid but would be pretty handy!
Awesome rig, can't wait to see your adventures. What tow bar have you put on your rig? We have had a fail on our Ram 2500.
Just the standard one at the moment mate

Could the kitchen bench and sink drop down, so normal size humans can use?
I’m pretty short but I’m pretty happy with how it’s setup, I’m sure it could be lowered more with extra brackets but would be a bit bulky
Absolutely froth this rig, Been waiting for this video, Hopefully see it at Vic 4x4 show, all ya need is a Weber Q in there 🤙

You have the extra storage for chairs and table, you need something about 1m - 1.5m long to stand on as that kitchen is way too high. Otherwise, greet job on the truck.
The driving light cover could have been modified into spelling "R" "A" "M". Is this 350k more capable than Patrol ?
Do you guys have the same DEF systems on the trucks as we do in the States?
900th like from USA. Keep up the great work!
Thanks mate!
Best build out there
THE KIMBERLEY!!!!
Would love a 2500 ram in a space/extra cab, would be the ultimate. Wish they would make them.
That would be pretty cool!
Fucken love it matty, can’t wait to see where you take this beast, love the channel, keep em coming 👍
Cheers Scott!
Nice one boyz
Love the rig, i would still go with the 2500 so can take the family. But for a single bloke with no kids prime rig
Yeah the dual cab in America was epic, perfect family rig I reckon
Couldnt agree more, im also of the opinion that if you go driving one of these around pretty good chance you'll need to upgrade to the dual cab within 6-9months 💦
Let's see this hit the Vic high country and tackle Mt Sunday track

Man I need that front bumper in the US for our 2024 build.
Hit up the team from outback Kitters, they might be able to help out
@@theexplorelife I actually have emailed them. We are going back and forth now. Epic truck btw. You guys have the full size trucks figured out.

Can you buy the GCI kitchen separately?
What a rig Matty well done

So its RHD?? can you buy American trucks already rhd in oz?
They get converted over here mate! This one was ordered especially and converted by AUSMV
Why is the stereo on the opposite side from the kitchen and awaning? That's about all that's missing. Awesome work!
A bit too big to fit in there - looking at other mounting options or a smaller unit
