So my question is is why did you start the engine up to warm up the oil? When you start and warm up the oil you warmed it up to a 40 weight it flows out of the engine much easier at a cold 10w
Multi grade oil only means the viscosity changes less (than straight weight oil) when it is warmed up, but the oil is still less viscous at operating temperature. Warming up the oil can also suspend those unwanted contaminants and make them drain out quicker.
Hi Tim. Thanks for the comment, but the spec in the video is correct. The capacity with the oil filter change is 3.1liters (3.3qt). If you don't change the oil filter, the capacity is 2.9 liters (3.1qt). I hope this helps, these are the spec's given in the Kawasaki service manual. -Charles

I think you mean 3.1 quarts of oil. There’s a lot of quarts in 3 liters.
