Thanks for sharing and showing us, especially us in the U.K. how dark and dismal our lives in the U.K.really are when compared to the lives you have in Portugal. The relaxed atmosphere to life in general is so clear to see. Old people looking healthier and happier than the older people who live in a over populated country and a much colder climate. I have made the decision to purchase a property, even if it's only a nice piece of derelict land and bread goats for both meat and milking and I'm going to take the chance. Your videos or short well edited films have been very educational and without accidentally watching a "short " you had slipped into something that I was searching for I wouldn't have had any idea of how much more was OUT there to enjoy, experience, and discover. Discovered the channel recently. Watched ALL videos and lovw them very much. Very well done, thank you! Very relaxed, honest and inspiring reports. In particular the various bird views are helpul. It really gives an inside on how Porugal is like (at least at this region). Way better than all this crude YT "overland stories". Keep on!👍
Hi Joseph, another great video. How likely is it to get the all important habitation licence on a ruin in and around this area? Is it a case or fully restoring a building before applying to the local council for the habitation status?
Hi there, and thanks for the nice tour, loved this property. Lots of possibilities if water is available I take the liberty of coming up with a few questions: 1) By ruin of 18 sqm and possibly 36 sqm, does it mean an extra floor? 2) Will it be legal to live in the house? 3) I am looking for property but for use maybe 4-5 months a year maximum. Can you live on such property for periods of time if you do not have an address there, that is, if it is not registered as a place of residence? 4) Regardless of the status of the property, it is allowed to build houses to support the farm, such as a small barn/garage. Same with whether smaller service buildings can be built that contain showers and toilets (in one form or another) 5) Are there laws restricting the ability to use solar panels in Portugal? This property appears to be meant to be off-grid Hoping for an answer, and greetings from Norway :-)
Nice like you said for the money what more do you want . Do you need a license or anything to keep animals ?. And could you build not permanent timber frame pod for example for more living spaces off grid
Buying process will be extremely quick as everything is ready. One of the men that we had dinner with at the end of the film is the guy we would suggest for land clearing :D
I assume that this area used to be covered by beautiful forests not many hundreds years ago. What a pity, only poor shrubs left now. What a destruction, I feel real sorry for the place. I would like to see someone who really care and after buying the place will leave it alone to regenerate, for at least 50-70 years
Looks like there's numerous tracks through the land. Are these all belonging to the land ? Is there any public access through the land or is it completely private?

Application for pre 1951 status can be done prior to purchase and will allow for both buildings to be reconstructed and lived in

Hello there, they are tractor tracks, to access each of the terraces. They are owned by the land, no public right of way :)
