That was a smart decision to include the start of the Sonic OVA in Sonic CD, the game that introduced Metal Sonic.

Guys I noticed that the 1st and 2nd words in every zone name have The same 1st letter like:
Palmtree Panic : 1st letter of each word is P

Unless you manage to get ALL of the "Time Stones" before defeating the end game boss. Then Sonic can easily get the ones he missed.

They wanted to keep the mobile port faithful to the original, it wasn’t not allowed, just not faithful.

And it's stupid in that regard. There could at least be an option to keep the game more "faithful" by disabling the new final boss and Desert Dazzle level.
Such a stupid decision to cut out *EXTRA* content for a beloved game. It would've given us a new Zone and a more satisfying Final Boss.

@@guilhermehank4938Japanese Manuals say Sonic loves to run over the world sometimes. That's what happens in Sonic CD intro.
Also if Eggman could make such a good robot as Metal Sonic before Sonic 2, why would he use Silver Sonic instead? That's why I think Sonic CD happens after S&K and before Mania.
Another fact: Sonic can spin dash in all games since Sonic 2, but he can't do super peel-out from CD in S3&K although there's super peel-out in Sonic Mania. That's one more reason why I think CD happens after S3&K.
I think that sonic cd happened after sonic 1 but not the start of sonic 2
The fact that after metal sonic grabs Amy, it changes to the US song because that song is more mysterious sounding and it fits with sonic figuring out that metal sonic was the same as the hologram, is a nice touch that may or may not have been intentional

I like how Collision Chaos' gimmicks forces Sonic into the Bad Future, then all the way to the Past. Accurate representation of the level layouts xD

Nobody knows if Good Ending is canon. Like you could see in Sonic 4 Episode 2, Sonic Generations and Sonic Mania (robot generator and encore palette) bad future, meaning Bad Ending may be canon.
Now I may have a theory about this and I could be wrong, but here it goes...Sonic did have a Good Ending and it WAS Canon until in Sonic Generations where Eggman had the Time Stones if Sonic didn't exist therefore after the Super Sonics destroyed the Time Eater and restored time but after Classic Sonic got back, Little Planet still had a Bad Future and it was after Sonic Mania (Encore Mode) and before Sonic 4 Episode 2. (In my Timeline, the order goes, Sonic 1, SegaSonic Arcade, Sonic CD, Sonic 2 (Master System), Sonic Chaos, Sonic 2 (Genesis) Sonic 3&K, Sonic Triple Trouble, Sonic 3D Blast (in 2D), Sonic Mania, Classic Sonic’s Story in Sonic Forces, Sonic Mania Plus, Sonic Pocket Adventure, and Sonic 4 Unfinished Trilogy.)

Why the bad ending? Are you planning on doing this again but with a good ending this time around?
Because it is canon. It could be seen in Sonic 4 Episode 2, and in Sonic Generations. Plus in Sonic Mania we destroyed in Stardust Speedway robot generator, meaning that it's bad future.
Why would he redo the entire series for just to change the ending?
Technically it's a neutral ending because at the end 28:24 you see the present not bad future
What I think is that both endings are cannon. Since little planet can flow through time and there are multiple timelines I think both the good and bad endings are cannon just that we keep getting shown the bad ending because of the race with metal sonic is one of the most iconic things in the series and stardust speedway bad future captures the atmosphere better.
