Sonic 3 Retold: All Episodes (Sprite Animation Compilation)

- Not only is this all episodes of the series, but there is a lot of small changes I've made to improve the watching experience of the series!
Here is the list of changes I've made:
-All episodes now in 60FPS and 1080P
-Some minor animation tweaks for an overall better viewing experience
-Added Heatwave effect in AIZ act 2 because it makes sense
-Launch base act 2 now has correct background palette
-Big arm fight now has clouds in BG
-Improved speed lines(?) as sonic falls from the sky after big arm fight
-Sky changes colour after big arm so mushroom hill's sky colour makes more sense
-Removed text 'season 2 coming soon!' as it isn't needed anymore and wouldn't make sense
-Sandopolis heat wave effect looks much better and is more subtle
-Fixed audio issue in LRZ act 1
-Made the master emerald altar the same colour throughout the series (the purple looks cooler than the green anyway IMO)
-Corrected Mecha Sonic's HUD
-Made Mecha Sonic's vision a little more pixelated because it makes sense ig
-Made screenshake in sky sanctuary a little more harsh
-DE Zone's music is a little different because the original remaster by bouncy-glow i used was claimed
-Added extra SFX in death egg zone transition between act 1 and 2
-Added extra credits that i forgot originally (sorry)
-Added the 'knuckles and robo collab' logo at the end

Turns out I forgot a credit... Sorry 😅. The song that plays during the mecha sonic fight is "a cruel metal adversary" by sound of a shadow. If he ever happens to come across this video I just wanna apologize :)

I personally love how, when Mecha-Sonic is scanning them, Tails comes up as "Kitsune" instead of "Fox". The two are, technically, synonymous, however, it's a welcome nod to the origin and inspiration of the character. It's such a shame that Tails comes across as the butt of a bad joke, but that's somewhat forgiven in all the instances where it's illustrated that he's trying as hard as he can. On another note, while being afraid of the ghosts is forgivable, the only fear that Tails officially has in canon is Astraphobia, which is a fear of thunder and lightning, so him cowering in the dark is a bit out of character.
Weirdly enough, this is not the only fancanon where Tails is afraid of ghosts.
I don't see it as Tails being the butt of the jokes. I see it as, he's a sweet, little, 8-year-old boy. No matter how smart he is, he's gonna be cute and funny by nature.

I love how this equally portrays how clumsy AI Tails really is in-game, and also how accidentally useful he can be.

Tails is easily my favorite part of this. He's trying so hard to be helpful to Sonic, and Sonic's always coming to his rescue. The best part is that the mutual efforts pay off a lot of the time. Intentional or not, Tails keeps helping in pretty big ways. That clutch catch in Lava Reef, tho~

Tails is my fav character
I love how Sonic's and Tails's personalities're so marked in this animation. Sonic bein' practically fearless, goin' fast, takin' risks and goin' without even thinkin' 'bout it a sec as always but he takes it serious if he sees his bud' is in trouble. Tails always tries to help and protect Sonic, he follows 'im almost wherever he goes and Tails's scared of darkness. Brilliant.
Da animation is, definitely, superb. 1 of my favorite parts is from 11:17, where Eggman destroys everything and Tails tries his best to not drop Sonic, he simply doesn't give up. That's a demonstration of how strong their friendship's. Welp, Sonic even considers Tails as his li'l bro.
Although there are some inaccuracies with story telling (by original Japanese story Eggman arrives much earlier than Sonic and Tails because events takes place not exactly right after Sonic 2 ending / Knuckles thinks Death Egg is a "dragon" and other minor stuff), I'm gonna say it again it is a very unique and well-made project. Good job 👏

This is absolutely amazing. No crappy personality changes and stuff like that. Just clean animation with a fair share of funny moments, but remaining faithful to the original game. Keep up the good work!

This is incredible. I've always found that the storyline behind Sonic 3 & Knuckles, though simple, is very underrated. To see it come to life in a cinematic way like this is pretty surreal. Thank you, and well done.

Also on 44:39, when they zoom into the death egg that might be a probable reference to Sonic Generations’ Death Egg robot cutscene. A memory long lived 🎉

This is a great retelling. I will however wish it could be re-retold when Flying battery happens between Carnival night and Ice Cap as originally intended in Sonic 3 level select, but I like this one, too. This is great.

man this is an amazingo work! captured perfectly roles of characters, shows some tiny adventures where there is room for the heroes to make mistakes and helping each other with their qualities i cant imagine how much time did the making of this take but i watched it entirely and joyfully. Awesome

An amazing and funny reimagining of one of my favorite games of all time, It was like giving our classic heroes their modern attitudes and i like it, the added frames of animation was a nice touch, good job

@Thiago Novaes straight up, one of my biggest problems with sonic mania is some of the zones use the “old transition” from sonic 1 and 2 where the screen just turns black and this man could’ve made some nice transitions

This was well done! Sonic 3 & Knuckles has the best Sonic storyline, in my opinion. I also like how it starts to get dark at the end of Marble Garden and then the sky starts to get brighter again in act 2 of Ice Cap. Each stage connects like a story instead of feeling random. It seems like Knuckle's story takes place after Sonic's. For example, when Knuckles is on Angel Island in the first level, there is only sky no water in the background because the island is floating again.
I love how they use the original stages to tell the story
