    The Timeline Little Link returns to leads into Majora's Mask, following Navi's parting, and later Twilight Princess. (Child Timeline!)
    The Timeline Adult Zelda stays on is now without a Link, and leads to Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. (Adult Timeline / The Toon Trilogy!)
    And, finally, the Version where Ganon wins, leads into A Link to the Past (and the rest of the Journeys of the Hero of Legend, ending in Link's Awakening), A Link Between Worlds and the original Zelda 1 and 2! (AKA The Downfall Timeline!)
    It seems you're gonna keep going with the Child Timeline for now, and honestly, that might be the best choice! Enjoy the Journey! And thank you for taking us with you.

    I just love the ending to this game. The citizens (and player) are happy because Ganon's been defeated, but between Mido and the Zora king missing Saria and Ruto and Link having to go all the way back to the start and basically lose every ally he'd gained including Navi, there's this additional sense of melancholy. I really do just love the story to this game, even if by today's standards it may not seem as "deep" as other games.

    I was to turn off YT for a while, but never mind! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Even though it’s not my favorite Zelda, I personally believe that it is the best representation of the series. Its exploration is fun (especially for its time), all of its dungeons are at the very least decent, its music is great, its story is good on the surface and even better when you stop and think about its messages, it’s just... so good. So very, very good.

      i dont get that third timeline where Link dies to Ganondorf... i dont understand... Link can not die... ...for me the timeline was always like this (not counting the games that were before): first link is a child and recover the mastersword and got sealed for 7 years, then beat Ganondorf (this leave a first timeline with Zelda alone with the 6 sages, where later in the future peoples try to resurect Ganondorf many times, Link to the past, the adventure of Link, Link between worlds), when Link return back in time, Ganondorf get arrested before he put his hand on the triforce this is the child timeline where Link goes out to travel the world, where he goes at termina, labrynia, holodrum, kokolin island and come back to hyrule for the first legend of Zelda, in this timeline, Ganondorf is still alive and break from jail and succede at recovering the triforce but got banned instead of get killed...
      ... so for me there was allways and only 2 timelines... the one where Ganondorf is dead and all the evil peoples try to resurect him... and one where he is in jail and break from it... (in twilight princess, im not sure if Ganondorf was a "re-dead" or not, meaning that maby he have been resurected before beeing banned by the 6 sages)

Some other players I've seen in the past are so plot focused, trying to get through the game as fast as they can, but you actually take the time to explore the game. Cause there's so many mini games and side quests within the Zelda games, its no fun to just do the main plot and it takes away from the experience. So thanks so much.

    Aaaaaaa this playthrough was so great! I'm so glad you're enjoying your journey so far, and it only gets better from here! Hearing Majora's Mask is next, I definitely recommend release order for future 3D titles. Don't worry about any timeline stuff in that regard. I'm super stoked to see how the new experiences hit you differently. It's gonna be a blast

    This game was such an important part of my childhood and basically my introduction to video games. It’s so rare to see someone experience it without knowing anything about it and here, it was amazing. Everything about this game is great and I am really happy you got to experience it. You helped me relive an important part of my childhood with your reactions to everything that happened in the game. Thank you DeeBeeGeek and keep making great content like this.

    I felt so envious watching you do the horseback archery so easily. Then I remembered that in the 3DS version EVERYTHING is easier and now I feel bEttEr. Good job on this stream, Dee. It's time to say see ya later to Ocarina of Time.

    I'm just super addicted to watching you play all sorts of games for the first time. The respect, dilligence, and reverence you show to these games and the audience is magnificent to witness as well as wholesome and enjoyable.
    I used to watch your reactions around 2-4 years ago and I'm happy to be able to see you play these games now
    Thank you

    Thanks so much, DeeBee, for taking us along on this epic quest, this journey through our own pasts as your game play, reactions and commentary remind us of ours back when we were dazzled our first time. May the rest of this year of Zelda bring you fun, surprises, challenge - and nostalgia as it draws to a close. You'll be spent, but I think also enriched (love that kind of paradox).

    I can't wait for his reaction to the emotional hits of Skyward Sword. That game is purely amazing in its story
    P.S. I hope after the major 3D Zeldas he keeps going with the amazing 2D ones like Minish Cap, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, and Spirit Tracks

      Let's also not forget Phantom Hourglass. I also am actually hoping that Minish Cap gets a remake in a similar but different style to the Link's Awakening remake.

    Thank you so much for doing this, Dee Bee. This is my favorite game of all time, and it just felt absolutely amazing to watch someone experience it for their first time. I didn't realize how amazing, unique, and novel some of the elements would be to new players, elements of the game that I have taken for granted as just part of this amazing game. Watching someone enjoy this game in 2021 has renewed my appreciation for it.
    I am so happy you had a good time, and I had a good time watching this. The end always makes me emotional, it isn't just you, and I have watched it several times.
    The build up to the climax of the song at 1:21:40 always gives me goose bumps. One of the best parts of an amazing conclusion to a fantastic game.
    But where a chapter ends, a new one begins. Majora's Mask is going to be a much different experience, but one that is just as incredible in it's own way. Get ready to be hit in the feels several times throughout the Termina adventure.

    And thus the Zelda timeline was born

    • @calebgoodman2076
      @calebgoodman2076 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Development wise yes. The timeline was first revealed to be a thing back in 1998.

    • @videoket
      @videoket 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@calebgoodman2076 yes, I think it's important to recognize that the games were initially designed to make references to each other but the hulking timeline of today was not a plan at first.

    • @calebgoodman2076
      @calebgoodman2076 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@videoket Well. A timeline was planned but not to the extent it is now. Prior to the reveal during the interviews during Ocarina of Time’s release the games would downright say they were prequels or sequels on the boxes or manuals. Up until I think The Wind Waker the concept of multiple timelines didn’t seem to be considered yet. Even then The Wind Waker has a secret in the Tower of the Gods detailing the legend of Tingle from Majora’s Mask, though you need the Tingle Tuner to see it. This is weird as that would be a temporal paradox.

    I love coming back to this video :D It was an awesome lets play, watching you go on this adventure for the first time was great!
    And you didn't just see the scene in the castle gardens again because it was the first time link met zelda. It's a pivotal moment that can change the future. Because Link just returned from there with full knowledge of what will happen and he has the chance to change things.
