Started on a gsxr 600. I had rode dirt bikes and 4-wheelers before but not much. Perfect beginner bike for someone who is taller and responsible enough to handle the power. If i wasn’t 6’2” i would’ve already dropped it multiple times 😂
I'm 5.6 and my first bike was z650 and I drop it so many time lol
@@ehthar3627 dropped mine today for the first time backing it out of the garage 😭 funny looking at this comment from just 3 days ago. Happens to the best of us
Just bought my first bike also a gsxr 750. Never rode a bike before…like ever. Took me about 5 minutes to muster up the courage and after that I was off to riding. Defiantly alot of power but if respecting the bike and not being reckless it’s great. Probably wont ever grow out of it.
That’s great to hear! I agree. If you start on a bigger bike. As long as you respect the power and not be reckless you’ll be good.
my left ear seems to think so
Americans, man! so much ego. In Europe, if you buy a 400, 47hp and ride the snot out of it, no one thinks you have a small package. Here in the uk, you can buy almost any small capacity bike, like 125 to 400, use it for a year and sell it for exactly the same money. Its a year of valuable experience.. for free! Also, you learn more in a shorter time on a small capacity bike..... you've got to earn that turbo busa! Peace
You’re so right & I’m American! A Ninja 400 is plenty of power for street & occasional track riding. I’m 62 & ride a 2014 GSX-R750, it’s my 3rd one, 05,07 & 14. I love these bikes but everyone thinks you need to ride a 1000 when they don’t have the skills to handle them. My son had a Ninja 400, it’s a great bike, but now he has an R1, go figure…
@@jimmansi1187 i dont understand why you guys hate on people wanting bigger bikes? what does that genuinely do for you?
Yo so I’m 15 and looking for my first motorcycle and I live in Mississippi and on the website it says I have to ride with someone but I don’t really understand what bike should I get or like should I wait
Have you been on a motorcycle, or a dirt bike?
@@PkDarren I’ve been on a dirt bike no motorcycle though my options are the r7 and gxsr8r and cbr650r and aprilla rs660 I do have enough money I’ve been saving so I have enough money for all
@@PkDarrenwhat do you think
@@rileylofin7653I've been riding for years, only sport bikes. You definitely should not start on any kind of sport bike, anyone that says it's ok is a fucking idiot. Especially at your age. You don't have the level of general experience to be starting on a crotch rocket. Get a 250/300 and ride that for a year or so.
@rileylofin7653 hard to say. The gsxr8 is still new. The cbr650 would probably be a better option money wise. But, the R7 & Aprilia rs650 I will be a better bike long term. That’s why I was saying to take the safety course. It will better help you out with your decisions. And help with your experience!
