A problem I have with this manga is the police. They're suspicious of Urama but practically got nothing on his bullies. Even though one of them one runs a prostitution ring filled with his fellow teenagers, there's hardly any reports on him. How the hell are they able to be on Urama's trail but not even one of his bullies. He's been being careful with what he does but I guess being careful ironically doesn't pass by the detectives.
Thats so annoying, the police are great at going after uruma and giving him shit for all the trauma he went through, but no one is ever shown to be aware of all the other shit thats going down. How do they not investigate the kids that are running the prostitution ring? Or the judo guy who everyone knows is assaulting ppl? Or that Kyou is running a cult??
They only try to redeem the main detective when he dies, showing that he always wanted to help but didnt have proof of the activities going on
My theory is the author either intentionally or not made the detectives come off this way as a commentary towards how police and detectives handle cases poorly that they aren’t actually doing a good job. Again I could be wrong but that’s what I’m perceiving as justice system is so shit probably why people end up going crazy

There's a pretty infamous case years back where a group of high school boys tortured, raped n killed their classmate but they weren't convicted cuz of their age n were off with a slap on the wrist. Real story n equally fucked up mess

Jujika No Rokunin seems like a generic revenge at first, but one of the aspects that save it is that Uruma isn't some rage driven mc who only craves blood and the revenge he desires.
Uruma may crave revenge, but Uruma still preserves his morality and humanity (Avenging Shirakawa, his visits to his brother, his talk with his grandfather about redemption, etc), and he is concious that people can be reformed/redeemed, which had come to be one of his mistakes with Senkouji (his first victim and one of his childhood bullies).

I read this manga a while ago, without knowing what kind of manga it is (I'm just the type who reluctant to read the synopsis first), thanks to the cover design that made me think 'wow, another cool shounen manga yay!'. Well, I am a fan of mystery, psychologycal, crime, etc something like that genres so I decided to read. First time reading this, I feel really disgusted by how only a little kid could control his friends to bully another kid, even goes as far as murdered that kid's family. That doesn't just ended up there, every chapter goes crazier and more disgusting (?) the more you read the story. It's true what the masked man said about we didn't feel any pity for the victims, or to say the bullies, because they kinda deserved that, you know (?). What draws me to read until the end was just how the mangaka potrays every characters with their own kind of obsessions also I love the art, it's very cool in my opinion. But for the sake of my mental health I decided to not continuing to read the manga, I just... feeling uncomfortable with the murders.... (and also the female charater)

I gotta say those torture scenes were truly the best of the manga. I really enjoyed the third one where the grandpa dresses as the leader of the bullies it was my favorite of them till now. Actually my favorite moment was during the second torture when the dude was starting to show his emotions before dying but MC stepped his F head not allowing him to feel regret lmao.
On the other side there are moments where the story just become edgy and some events are simply absurd, but it think that the fact that the author is doing both the art and the history must be pretty hard.

What bothers me in this manga is how many of the scenes feel too.. convenient and illogical. Specially how much the antagonists get away with.

I'm actually happy i found a review to this manga. If i had searched, i'm sure i would've found one much earlier, but i didn't, because i wanted to forget this manga as soon as possible. I stumbled upon this... experience by accident, i was so innocent before i started reading it and now i am a broken man... no, jokes aside. This manga is intruiging and exciting, but not easy to handle. Don't get attached to any characters, you WILL regret it. But i agree, that it can be extremely satsifying. Only thing is... i am NOT the target audience for this kind of story, since i get reeeeally emotional about characters that i like and seeing them being assaulted, tortured, r-worded, killed or all of the above really shakes me up. I still read it to this day, but i'm so glad, that i can't binge-read it anymore. One chapter every so often is ok for me. This manga is evil, it tricks you into reading chapter after chapter, despite you hating every second you spend reading it. In that regard, this manga is a masterpiece. It's... addicting. On the one hand you feel this... disgusting pleasure from seeing these horrible things done to these monsters, but at the same time it tortures YOU, the reader, by mutilating your favourite characters. But as soon as you see them that way, you HAVE to witness the revenge to restore at least SOME balance within you. But by the time the balance is somewhat restored, the curiosity kicks back in and you see MORE terrible things done to OTHER likable characters and the cycle continues... it's a devils loop and IN THAT the manga truly excels.
I love how mc kills each one with a lot of poetic justice.

I start reading this one late. Maybe around chapter 80s or so. The manga is still ongoing and it looks like it will continue for maybe more than a hundred chapters. The story kept getting messier and more complicated than my preference. Personally, I find "At night I move (Yoru ni Naru to Boku wa)" a more satisfying complete story with much shorter length and not as messy.
Yep I completely agree, Its wayyy to drawn out now. If you want to add more characters just start a new manga, he killed all 4 the manga should have ended around chapter 90. Its so repetitive.
@@chugetnuget6230 my guess is that it is popular enough that the editors and publisher asked for the extension. I do understand that the first four would be meaningless if the MC didn't manage to get the leader. But now the leader created new followers for the MC to plow through again... And I just lose my interests. I think I will return for the final arc, in a few years.

I dropped this manga after we they introduced the second girl and she was in love with the mc (or something). The art was great but in less than 10 chapters we got a rape victim (Wich kills herself instead of making a good note like " You took years off me, you took a lot from me, but I won't allow you to take my life" type of stuff, dying so the rapist can feel sad she died and feel bad for his actions) and two attempt rapes with girl number 1 who loves the mc. Kinda glad I stoped before the story got like what you said

i have been reading this manga for a while now, and although the torture scenes are really satisfying to read, the whole story is full of plot conveniences, the characters and SPECIALLY the female ones act unbelievably stupid and Uruma is sometimes really intelligent and in the next chapter he makes some really stupid decisions. Also the amount of r*pe used in this manga for shock value is just too much. Overall it's an ok read if you don't really care about the story and just wanna see some really terrible guys being destroyed by the protagonist.

This Manga definitely does a good job at making you uncomfortable.. but the character writing, especially the girls is pretty iffy imo. The girls are pretty much there to be saved by the mc, or fuel his anger when he fails to do so. So yeah, I’m staying caught up, and the story’s definitely interesting, but it won’t ever make it even near my top ten

There’s certain aspects of this manga that are really dumb, but it’s actually pretty damn entertaining with genuinely terrifying moments that are constantly exciting. It’s an edgelord power fantasy that can be really awesome when it wants to be. The relationship between Uruma and his grandpa reminds me of Dexter and his dad.
