Awesome video brother. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Looks good. Hope you have an incredible day. Much love and RESPECT
Thanks Tim!
If you can, can you make a tutorial of some sort of how to make a template to drill the additional two mounting points you mentioned in the video
I would just put a piece of paper on the bottom side of the wing mount, poke a hole in all 3 holes on each side and then line that up with he 2 holes on the spoiler module in order to triangulate the 3rd hole, color it with a sharpy and then drill it out
Looks awesome! I didn't get the Nite Pony package, so my PP spoiler is body coloured and I want to change it. This is definitely an option!
You'll absolutely love it! I'm glad I went this route
Awesome Video Brother! You pulling up on that wing though! 😳 scared the shit out of me! 😂 that wing ain’t going no where!
Absolutely on there! More sturdy than OEM I might! Nailed the mounting concept
Great educational video bro
Thanks Scott! My Matte wing was just delivered to Matt's! Gonna go pick it up tonight or thursday!
So if I’m understanding right, I have just the spoiler module with no spoiler from factory. I will need to drill through the module itself and not the trunk like in previous years? Then for the extra mounting points just add holes to the module?
Correct. The spoiler module is it's own, seperate bolt on piece. And it's plastic vs the trunk lid Being metal.
Do I have to remove the deck lid in order to install it, even if I don’t use the additional mounting points?
Or can I just use the OEM pockets/studs + 3m tape without removing the deck lid?
I would follow what the video recommends as well as the manufacturer in regards to the mounting points. If you choose not to, that's ultimately your decision but normally there's a reason for recommendations.
Where did you guys get this spoiler? Only one I can find is a red carbon fiber from AM
Performance Carbon Parts, link is in the video description. They just opened another batch of orders to fill so get yourself one and don't forget to use the discount code!
Can I install it with out drilling the other 2 holes or is it recommended to drill the other 2 holes?
We have recently found out the 2 holes will not work. So you will just have the 5 mounting points and that is good enough
How much was that spoiler there n can you also get it black ?
Not available in black, exposed carbon only. However if you got the Matte version, you could always take it somewhere to have it painted. The wing itself was 1299 shipped but I also used promo code TDM5 and that saved me like 70 bucks
@@THEDriverMod_ Damm that’s low key a lot for a spoiler I think ima just wait till after market make ones n if they do how long you think till someone make an after market one?
@edwinsantoyo4872 these are aftermarket, OEM aftermarket replicas. The black, plastic OEM spoiler is 1500 before shipping so I think is a great price considering you can get this one and get it painted and still be cheaper than the OEM plastic 1. Honestly it was Werth it as it bolts right up, no drilling modification needed. Fitment was spot on. You are paying for not only the material but also the engineering, fitment and quality.
@@THEDriverMod_ mhmm idk Ima think about it because I only wanted to spend at most $750 on a spoiler
@edwinsantoyo4872 I tried some cheaper ones but they didn't fit right, the finish faded or oxidized. With these cars costing 40k for a base GT now, 500-750 is now your entry level, cheap throw away part. It's just what it is.
Like the GT500 wing better
It fits like crap though
