Thank you so much for this! We reviewed this before our first trip to Volcano Bay. We had a blast and stayed in cabana 21, lower level! Definitely felt less confused by watching the video first. Really appreciate you doing this!
Thanks for this video! I called today to book a cabana, and they told me they do not take preferences for which cabana numbers you'd like. The only options were "lower", "upper", "family", or "ADA". They did tell me someone would call me the day before arrival to see if we had any "requests", at which point I could mention my cabana numbers. But it didn't sound like there was any advantage in booking so far in advance to get a specific cabana.
At those prices they need to take requests with a smile!!!!!! 😮

Thanks for sharing! This gave me a good idea of what would be best for us. I actually called today. I was on hold for 2 hours, and then it went straight to the survey like I had already spoke to someone. We aren’t going until the end of April so I’ll keep trying. I wish they had a way to reserve online.

Thanks so much for this video. We requested an upper cabana preferably 13 and 14 about a month beforehand and that’s exactly what we got!! 😀 And you were exactly right - we will never not want one.
I reserved a cabana for my trip in October and when I asked if I could choose where about I would like the cabana, she told me I could only choose ground or second level, they had no control over which cabana I get. I'm winging my faith here lol. Rix thanks for all the knowledge on the cabanas!!!!
They let you in 30 minutes before the park opens so just get there early so you can get a nice Cabana

Thanks for the detailed walkthrough. Was just at VB for the first time the on Mon 07/17/23. Stayed at Cabana Bay so took advantage of the hour early entrance. Had reserved two cabanas months in advance. When we checked in they say we could not request a specific one. Bummer as we were all ready to follow your recommendations. Looks like things have changed. We ended up with 17 which worked out fine.

Thanks for doing this video, it will be very helpful since there isn't another one out there like it. I have stayed in Cabana 21 upper a couple of times and it has just the right combination of view and privacy. You are right, you become spoiled once you rent a cabana.

@@karlapv8090 It depends when you go and what type of cabana you want, prices change from day to day...when it first opened, I spent a little over $200 another time it was close to $350 for an upper cabana.

Just found this video but sounds like I got lucky we had cabana 21 upper on Friday March 26th. Paid $250 it was totally worth it as it was our first time to Florida!!

@@isabelm6436 I booked about a month before but I would book as soon as you know you want to reserve one especially if it is during the summer months. Oh and be prepared to be on hold for awhile. There isn't any other way to reserve a cabana except by phone which took me just about an hour.

Recently made cabana reservations myself. They don't let you pick the cabana over the phone. You have to pick it the day of, in person.

This is SO helpful, thank you! I just booked a cabana today for June, and even though the employee on the phone told me there was no way to request a certain section, hopefully I can get there early and still have a good choice. Question- is there any beach/sand/loungers in front of Cabanas 4-8? Those look like the ideal location for us, but I do love the idea of being able to sit in the sun with my toes in the sand for a little while during the day.
Same, I just reserved one for September and the employee had no way of reserving a number or even a section. They said it was first come first serve once you got to the stand. She tried to find a way to put a note but said there was not way to do it. They did say I could call guest services and maybe they could help.
Very informative video 🤩 we stayed in 16D and loved the location as we could easily dip in and out of the fearless river. Food and service was also excellent 🤩

Great informative video! We got a cabana in Nov 2019. Awesome! We arrived and went to the hut. They picked one out for us since we were clueless and had no preference. A staff worker escorted us to our cabana and explained they picked #7, telling us it was one of the more popular ones. It was a slow week and we got there early, so that certainly helped our cause. Going back in June. Thinking if doing the premium seats this time since there will only be 2 of us. Do you know if you get to pick out those seats or the area also?

We've rented 6c twice. It's a treehouse cabana above and overlooking the volcano falls. It was a little more than $600/day in May and August two years ago. We reserved our area and paid in advance by telephone, and arrived at rope-drop to rush to the Concierge at Volcano Bay to get the cabana we wanted. Then we left for awhile. We came back after lunch and stayed until close. It was worth the money.

Hey guys! Love your videos and this one prompted us to rent a Cabana for an upcoming stay. Unfortunately when I reserved for our May trip I was told you can’t request your preferred location or exact cabana. I called twice because your video states this can be done. After 2 hours hold time each time both cast members said no request allowed. They are assigned before arrival by the park. Just wanted to share my experience.
Yes, that is what they say in the phone. As you recall in my video I said it only increased the likelihood you get one you requested. When on the phone get tell them to make note of your preference. They will again say they don’t assign over they phone, just say I understand that but just make note of my request please.

First off great video we are going there and this helped us a lot. Second of all, I was wondering if you could give us what you would feel to be a good watching cabana with a view. Wife and I like people watching while relaxing . Instead of being secluded off the path. But not next to a bunch of kids running around. Was on the phone with them today, they wouldn’t even take a request. That was a bummer. They said I could reserve one, then on the day of my visit I can request the one I’d like
Correct. You cannot directly book a specific cabana but you can try to ask them to put the area you would like to be in, in the notes. Also make sure to let them know if you want an upper, family, single, or one with an elevator.

Truly an informative video, yes the cabanas are expensive, but totally worth it It makes your volcano bay day a relaxing , enjoyable and stress free.

Tip: get your kids a dollar store sand set. They can play in the sand (or the kiddie splash pad area) all day there. We ended up buying an overpriced sand set for my youngest at the gift shop b/c we didn’t know. We also brought waaay too much stuff with us. B/c of tapu tapu you don’t need to carry your cell phone or your wallet. The cabanas include towels. However! I strongly advise you to wear a water shirt all day and water shoes or flips flops when walking from slide to slide in this park. The ground does get very hot, and your shoulders and back will burn out there. Also; a great feature is all the water guns positioned around and the fact that after exiting a sand area there are little “foot misters/ sprayers” built into all the pathways where you can rinse your feet off.
Getting a cabana especially if you have a large group is totally worth it, and all the perks that come with it. Having a full butler service in your cabana is extra awesome.
The universal reservation number just told me they no longer put notes on your reservation for specific cabanas. They said to visit the entrance gate at volcano bay and have them take my request for a specific Cabana. I plan to call back later and get a different person to see if they have the same answer.

I just booked one and you have to pay the entire thing up front, prepay. Ours for a Saturday in April was $799.99 plus tax.

We just reserved a cabana but were told they only had lower ADA. Does anyone know where those are located? We paid over $800, would really like to stay closer to the main volcano pool and not way in the back for that price.
We visited Volcano Bay on 7/22/21. Let's just say I was extremely underwhelmed. We had the upper cabana #23. It was a terrible spot. We couldn't see anything. The cabana was dirty and the freezer in the refrigerator needed to be defrosted because it was packed with ice. We couldn't get anything in it. The space is limited to 6 people but it can easily hold 10-15 people. Some of my family had to sit below in the hot sand because we could only have 6 people at a time. It's just not worth the money we paid for it. I suggest you get there early and find a free spot. One plus, we had shade and that was good since it very hot.

Great video, I am going peak season in July and I just called to reserve they told me $878!?!? Does that sound right will the price drop as I get closer to my date or will the high rollers snatch them all up? Hard to justify spending that for one day that is more than the hotel is costing me.
Yes, in summer they get really expensive, I’ve heard as high as $900

We had the same issue even in the off season. We were on hold for 2+ hours so we completely. Try different hours of the day but expect it to be a long time on hold.
