You didn't mention how Ross told the Avengers that they caused New York's disaster, but it was actually the goverment who fired the nuclear head to New York.
To be fair as evidenced in Winter Soldier Shield was Hydra all along. Since Avengers took place before that it was probably Hydra that gave the go signal.
Domihork Jeremy doesn't even mention how Ross had a hand in creating the Hulk & Abomination, who ended up tearing up Harlem. This is one of the reasons why I thought the Sokovia Accords were bullshit.
The world security council is separate from SHIELD. As we saw in Winter Soldier, they really weren't part of HYDRA, and then Agent's of Shield season 3, when one of them turned out to be an ally of Coulson's. It was the world security council's decision to fire a missile. Unless Hydra was somehow behind the World Security Council, but since Redford's character(his name escapes me at the moment), had to try and convince them(then threaten them) to align with Hydra, I doubt it.
Why was Powers Booth (Who in which was one of the original council members from the first Avengers movie.) replaced? And why does Marvel and DC keep to swap out Actors back and forth, between Comic Franchises?
@ Alexander Kieler : Even though Ross had a hand in it, the guy who became the Abomination was out of control, and it was *his* decision to do that to himself. Which unfortunately absolves Ross from the most if not all the blame.
10:19 - Bucky had already been tested on and gotten the super soldier serum BEFORE he fell off the train. That's why he was able to survive. Since the serum had been 100% effective in him (unlike in Red Skull, where things went slightly wrong), I assume Zola would want to retrieve the one person that the serum worked on. Bucky was obviously a very valuable asset to them at that point. It would make even less sense to just leave him there.
the problem with all that is. they capure Zola that very day, the convince him to join their side, even tho he was secretly hydra, sure. but, why would they let him go back to look for bucky and all that, how long did that take? how long was bucky laying on the snow WITHOUT AN ARM???
One sin to add: Secretary Ross upbraids the Avengers for causing collateral damage. This is the same man who deliberately unleashed *The Abomination* on Harlem, resulting in a battle with the Hulk which could have been prevented, but ended up doing millions in property damage, not to mention resulting in multiple injuries and deaths.
Soo... he, in no way, could have learned his lesson? Maybe he agrees that he was wrong in doing so, which is why he wanted to accords? I mean, Tony made Ultron and he wants it.
This is supposed to be covered by the business where Ross has a heart attack and changes his mind about everything; that's supposed to, in turn, allude to Tony doing the same... but I agree, it doesn't work.
Hi, I am Hi. It's bad writing. He was an asshole and was never called up on his bullshit, yet the developers have him judge the Avengers for plot purposes. He was responsible for millions in terms of damage and thousands of deaths and serious injuries, and got away with it without so much as a slap on the wrist. What he did was worse than the Avengers ever did, yet they are the ones that are punished. What the hell.
BigBlueRed 26 I don't remember the Hulk so much but did the authority/public find out about what he did?? Anyways he is covered by the government. Anything he does is pretty much the responsibility of the government he works for. Which is what the accords is about. Its like the police for a government, the government is responsible for the police force. Which is why what the avengers did was 'wrong' because they didnt have a government body behind them.
Ok so the answer to the question at 10:30 is actually because before Bucky was saved by Captain America in Captain America: The First Avenger, Arnim Zola actually experimented on him. This is how he was actually able to survive the fall from the train. Zola wanted him back to finish his expiriments, which included turning him into a super soldier (the Winter Soldier). That is why Zola wanted him back so badly, because it was his work that he wanted to complete.
"Captain America: Civil War" suits it better since the plot line of Steve and Bucky's struggle continues, wrapping up what was started with the other Captain America films into a complete trilogy, while the Avengers movies are focused on particular villains (Loki, Ultron, Thanos) that the Avengers team up against to thwart their goals.
The reason Bucky was special was that they'd already done a bunch of experiments on him at the other HYDRA facility. He was already close to being a Winter Soldier, they just needed to add the mind control.

Wanda isn't American. Not sure Nat is, either. Sorry, thought that was important.
@@bobbyfeet2240 The explanation Tony used was Wanda wasn’t a citizen(not just American in general) but I’m pretty sure Natasha is seeing as if she’s been in America for how long working with SHEILD. Wanda was just brought on over from Sokovia

No he wasn't, the people arresting Bucky have ''Polizei'' written across their backs. That's the german word for police. The movie makes literally no sense at all at that point.
Bruder Jakob It does if you pay attention. Bucky WAS arrested in Bucharest by german forces. This is because the nearest Task-Force office is in Berlin, which dispatched special forces to Bucharest to locate and eliminate Bucky.

Imagine a Stan Lee cameo where he works with sanitizing in the Avengers building or some shit. He's just walking around and picks up Thor's hammer and cleans some dust. Maybe in a post credit scene
I wish that could be the last cameo of Stan Lee.. because he will eventually have to make a last cameo.. since he's ancient already and not in a particularly good shape anymore. I really wish his last cameo won't be a hokey CGI model of his, or just being a random bystander. If anything that whole "Stan picks up Thor's hammer casually" would be a wonderful way to remember him forever.
Thors hammer would be in the bathroom and he would be off doing something else and Stan is cleaning and sets the hammer on the toilet eat cover and forgets about it!! Then one of the avengers is just like. man thor is a butt!!
9:10 - sin should be removed. Black Panther sidestepped captains question about vibranium, because that's a Wakanda secret, and simply responded to Sam's statement about "liking Cats "
You forgot a sin. The government is upset about the avengers apparently being "indifferent to civilians casualties" but they're the ones who launched a fucking nuke at New York
And let's not forget that the guy who talks with Avengers about accords is the same guy who created Abomination in "Incredible Hulk". What a bunch of hypocrites.
Ross is something of a hypocrite, he was never meant to be a morally defining character. Also the ones who launched the nuke was the World Security Council, an agency of their own, not the entire government. The Accords however, are actually supported by the UN themselves.
and we're supposed to assume SHIELD was reporting everything to governments, huh?. that's why they had a multinational world council to begin with? ;). Come on.
As fun as the airport scene was it does make you wonder why Wanda didn't just use her mind manipulation powers on everyone to stop them attacking or subdue them till the others got on the jet. She'd already established in Age of Ultron that she had the power to effortlessly control half of Sakovia to evacuate them.
I'm pretty sure Wanda can't manipulate it if its not already there like amplifying Tony's paranoia or Hulk's rage. She might be able to distract them but she can't just make strong willed superheroes suddenly want to give up fighting. Not to mention Vision wouldn't let her wreck havoc.
I’ve always wondered this about her. I justified it as she can only do small batch mind control lol like generally one target at a time, but the Sokovia battle already disproves that. The real reason is there wouldn’t be much conflict if she did that. But for story reasons there doesn’t seem to be a good one.
Well, the people of Sokovia are normal human beings who didn't even have their guards up. The Avengers, in their first encounter with the Maximoffs, didn't have their guards up either. Here, they know what she can do, they're not going to take her lightly. And Vision is there to counter her mind warping powers.
A sin should be when vision shoots down war machine. He intended to hit falcon but hits rhoady. So if the beam can do that to the armor what did he think it would do for falcon? Tickle him?
Falcon still had wings to glide on, and a safety parachute. Rhodey literally says: "Target is thruster, turn him into a glider." What I would sin though is how Vision was in such a perfect angle to hit Rhodey after Falcon dodged. I mean what are the chances?
I personally thought that he missed two redeeming moments during the Airport battle scene: first, when Spiderman pointed out that Cap's shield does not obey the laws of Physics... And when Bucky asked Falcon why he didn't dispatch Spiderman sooner...
Jacky hold it didn't black widow leak all of the hidras files? That means that he didn't even have to go through all that shit to get mission report 1991
Eli Lybarger But the movie would end in 5 minutes because shield, an inhuman, agent Coulson and Robin Scherbatske. (The name is still very hard to spell correctly)
Two scenes missing that should've removed sins: 1) Clint meeting Black Panther; "I don't think we've met. I'm Clint." *"I don't care."* 2) Ant-Man Meeting Cap; "Captain America! Oh man, it's an honor...and I'm shaking your hand way too long. This is getting awkward. I'm gonna stop."
But then immediately add a sin for Ant-man turning back to Wanda (whom he just rode in the van with) and saying "I know you too, you're awesome" like he just met her. Also add another sin for him calling Hawkeye "arrow guy", since he rode with Clint to the airport. I'm sure Clint didn't introduce himself as "arrow guy".
Not really, but I think he definitely should've removed a sin for BP catching those exploding arrows. God I fucking went mental when I first saw that. Literally the most badass thing any Superhero has ever done.
I think the main reason why the water stopped where it did instead of going higher was because the actor probably wasn't comfortable with nearly downing. The actor is still a person and being held upside down while water rushes into your nose is an awful experience that would make it extremely uncomfortable and hard to act with. I personally think they should have found another way to do that scene, but that's what we got.
To this date I've never seen anyone wondering about the weird physics of Ant-Man. In his own movie it is mentioned that when he is smaller, he is more dense and can therefore hit harder. In this one he is giant all of the sudden, without turning into at big fluffy balloon man
Presumably, the guy who has sworn to take the secret behind the Pym particle to the grave lied when he explained the physics behind the Pym particle to a thief he'd just met.
Yeah, the whole point is that the objects retain their mass but get far denser, hence the “punch like a bullet” portion of Antman. If that’s the case, he’d be really underpowered in the scene where he turns into a giant. Also, especially seen in Antman and The Wasp, all the stuff they shrink, like Pym’s lab, would be really fucking heavy.
Well it's more like "My family died because you had a black ops mission in a civilian populated area without even informing the government that you were going in dressed as an American flag"
I just read about a man who sued a guy for breaking his rib. The guy who got sued broke the rib performing CPR and saving the dude's life. This is like a real world example of The Incredibles plot. There are idiots who would really say that crap to superheroes if they were here in the real world...
18:14 That wasn't supposed to kill Tony, since he took the core out of his chest in iron man 2 or 3 (I forget which). It just powered his suit, and Steve was being the big man by cutting the power instead of hurting Tony more
I don't get it. I hate when I don't get things. Would you mind spending roughly 10 seconds of your precious lifetime of which you will never get back explaining the joke to me for the valueless payment of a simple thanks?
Asa Holmes Well the narrator was referencing Ryan Lochte when he spoke of the avengers basically ignoring sovereign borders. Ryan Lochte was a an olympic athlete during the 2016 games that started trouble in Rio by violating some laws then lying about it on national television. So in turn just as the Avengers did, Ryan Lochte was ignorant of an damage he caused. He references it because it went viral on the news for a couple weeks.
"Peter's only had his Spidey powers for six months, but Tony had time to scout him, study the strength of his webbing and build a suit for him. " Tony Stark created his dream of Ultron in 4-5 days. And you think it's gonna take him longer to study Spider-Man and build him a suit? 🤣🤣

Batman v Superman -A billionaire does not like the way the famous superhero is saving people,so he tries to stop him -a disappointing villain with a complicated plan -Stops climatic fight scene because of parent issues regarded as one of the worst movies of 2016 Captain America:Civil War -A billionaire does not like the way the famous superhero is saving people,so he tries to stop him -A disappointing villain with a complicated plan -Stops climatic fight scene because of parent issues regarded as one of the best movies of 2016 Am I missing something here?
Dexter Ferguson in a nutshell BvS the fight stopped because of parents issues and civil war it started due to the parents issues... But it's the way civil war was told and the fluidity of the story. Just because a movie has a similar basis doesn't mean they're all gonna be as good or as bad as each other. That's like saying all spy movies with complicated villain and a need to stop them at the end will all be as good or as bad as each other. Also BvS should've just been called dawn of justice because there was no direct conflict between the two until a short 10 minutes fighting sequence which also had nothing to do with their conflicting ideologies but because Lex threatened Martha and had to kill superman to save her
*"A billionaire does not like the way the famous superhero is saving people,so he tries to stop him"* I don't think that describes the conflict of Civil War at all. *"A disappointing villain with a complicated plan"* Step 1: Frame Bucky to draw him out. Step 2: Use the trigger phrases to control Bucky and make him give the location of the tape. Step 3: Find the tape Step 4: Use the tape to destroy divide the Avengers. That plan isn't complicated in the slightest. *"Stops climatic fight scene because of parent issues"* This describes neither movie. The climatic fight in BvS was the Doomsday fight, and the battle in Civil War STARTED because of parent issues. *"Am I missing something here?"* The ability to analyze films beyond their most basic and superficial details?
18:14 Yeah because we learned in Iron Man 3 that Tony doesn't have the arc reactor in his chest anymore. And even if he did, Cap broke the arc reactor powering the suit so the suit would shut down not to kill Tony.
I mean... There's a very high probability that you'll die if you're locked in a broken metal suit in Siberia... Not to mention whatever injuries he got in that fight. I guess we're all lucky there's a Deus Ex Machina out there that saved him from frostbite, internal bleeding or both.
Little Mix Lyrics watching the movie tony moved to cover his face implying that Steve was gonna decapitate him. Saying that he wasn’t gonna die was on the fact that he didn’t go through with that and instead just shut down his suit.
Yeah stop sinning Stan Lee I have never met a person who disliked his cameos in a single way he is the father of Marvel and one of the founders of comic books and unlike alot he never holds himself above the fans simply for being a creator rather than a fan. Damn treasure
Everyone brings this up. Its because of the Vibranium it absorbs and reverses kinetic energy. So every time it hits something it reverses its force against the shield. Kind of like bouncing off of a spring. Cap has mastered this and its actually part of his skill set.
6:07 correction age of ultron happens because Wanda gives Tony a vision which leads him into creating Ultron to protect the earth and his friends, so technically its Wanda's fault
I paused right at 3:28 when Vision just finishes phasing through the wall and I've never seen such a perfect freeze frame. Vision's got his arms up and out like he's some cryptid you'll see in low-res on SCP, Wanda's casually looking over while in perfect HD, and Steve looks like he just inhaled some pepper flakes while high.
The relationship between Steve and Sharon gets a lot weirder after endgame. By who’s logic Steve was/is her uncle, now while he wouldn’t know that yet she most certainly would.
Well, they kind of remade Ultron. They found something as complex as a human mind in the form of code within the staff, and worked around the clock to modify it with purpose and personality, then integrate it into the Iron Legion. The result was the best villain in the MCU. Yes, the Mind Stone provided the groundwork, but Ultron would never have been a problem without Tony's reckless pursuit for world peace leading him to tamper with forces he didn't fully understand.
TheTrueWolfboy I thought the same thing but upon rethinking I don't think it was ever actually stated anywhere that the arm was Vibranium, I think we all just assumed it was.
I'm sure that I'm the 5 millionth person to say this, but I freaking LOVE the snippets at the end of all of these. Sooooo many of them are simply genius!
15:46 Technically it hasn't been more than 70 years for Steve, since he was frozen for 70 some odd years. Going by movie release dates, Steve has been thawed out for 5 years, maybe less. It's entirely plausible that he remembers the girl's name. I give you one sin, CinemaSins.
i don't think that many modern movies are making those continuity mistakes like when he used to point out how obviously the whole scene wasn't shot at once. ex. window broken in this scene window repaired in the next

But expect no one to remember that, for plot reasons.
Soo... he, in no way, could have learned his lesson?

This would have been better if they named it: “Avengers: Civil War”
Its not really about Cap independently, but as the whole group of avengers
Eh Cap is kinda like the leader of the avengers tho sorta aha so u could say its his movie x)
Cant be avengers Thor and Hulk ain't here
@@coolestswaggerbaddie54 Antman wasnt really an avenger
"Captain America: Civil War" suits it better since the plot line of Steve and Bucky's struggle continues, wrapping up what was started with the other Captain America films into a complete trilogy, while the Avengers movies are focused on particular villains (Loki, Ultron, Thanos) that the Avengers team up against to thwart their goals.
CuppaTeaExe minus Thor and hulk
The reason Bucky was special was that they'd already done a bunch of experiments on him at the other HYDRA facility. He was already close to being a Winter Soldier, they just needed to add the mind control.

Bucky WAS arrested in Bucharest by german forces. This is because the nearest Task-Force office is in Berlin, which dispatched special forces to Bucharest to locate and eliminate Bucky.

If anything that whole "Stan picks up Thor's hammer casually" would be a wonderful way to remember him forever.

The Accords however, are actually supported by the UN themselves.
it wasn't the governments, to be fair. It was SHIELD and SHIELD also operated pretty much ignoring national borders and authorities for the most part.

As fun as the airport scene was it does make you wonder why Wanda didn't just use her mind manipulation powers on everyone to stop them attacking or subdue them till the others got on the jet. She'd already established in Age of Ultron that she had the power to effortlessly control half of Sakovia to evacuate them.
because that is rude
I'm pretty sure Wanda can't manipulate it if its not already there like amplifying Tony's paranoia or Hulk's rage. She might be able to distract them but she can't just make strong willed superheroes suddenly want to give up fighting. Not to mention Vision wouldn't let her wreck havoc.
Because action lmao
I’ve always wondered this about her. I justified it as she can only do small batch mind control lol like generally one target at a time, but the Sokovia battle already disproves that. The real reason is there wouldn’t be much conflict if she did that. But for story reasons there doesn’t seem to be a good one.
Well, the people of Sokovia are normal human beings who didn't even have their guards up. The Avengers, in their first encounter with the Maximoffs, didn't have their guards up either. Here, they know what she can do, they're not going to take her lightly. And Vision is there to counter her mind warping powers.
I'm actually surprised that you didn't remove a sin when Bucky flipped that motorcycle on the highway.

Yeah, but I am glad that they removed a sin when Ant Man went huge.
The best part about it is that it wasn't CGI.
Not cgi so that's cool
A sin should be when vision shoots down war machine. He intended to hit falcon but hits rhoady. So if the beam can do that to the armor what did he think it would do for falcon? Tickle him?
Falcon still had wings to glide on, and a safety parachute. Rhodey literally says: "Target is thruster, turn him into a glider."
What I would sin though is how Vision was in such a perfect angle to hit Rhodey after Falcon dodged. I mean what are the chances?
Is it an implied that Wanda is some help making him more human
Agent Carter die, panther dad die, The avengers died, and lots of innocent people die in the bombing
yes but Falcon has a parachute, as was shown in Winter Soldier

I think the main reason why the water stopped where it did instead of going higher was because the actor probably wasn't comfortable with nearly downing. The actor is still a person and being held upside down while water rushes into your nose is an awful experience that would make it extremely uncomfortable and hard to act with. I personally think they should have found another way to do that scene, but that's what we got.

To this date I've never seen anyone wondering about the weird physics of Ant-Man. In his own movie it is mentioned that when he is smaller, he is more dense and can therefore hit harder. In this one he is giant all of the sudden, without turning into at big fluffy balloon man
Presumably, the guy who has sworn to take the secret behind the Pym particle to the grave lied when he explained the physics behind the Pym particle to a thief he'd just met.
yea
Check out The "Film Theory" channel. MatPat did research on this subject
Check out Film Theory
Yeah, the whole point is that the objects retain their mass but get far denser, hence the “punch like a bullet” portion of Antman. If that’s the case, he’d be really underpowered in the scene where he turns into a giant. Also, especially seen in Antman and The Wasp, all the stuff they shrink, like Pym’s lab, would be really fucking heavy.
I hate it when people try to guilt superheroes. "Oh you stopped a meteor? Well my car got a scratch on it so fuck you."

18:14 That wasn't supposed to kill Tony, since he took the core out of his chest in iron man 2 or 3 (I forget which). It just powered his suit, and Steve was being the big man by cutting the power instead of hurting Tony more

+Rick Scott Dexter :)
Also BvS should've just been called dawn of justice because there was no direct conflict between the two until a short 10 minutes fighting sequence which also had nothing to do with their conflicting ideologies but because Lex threatened Martha and had to kill superman to save her
Stops climatic fight scene cause parent issues? The climatic fight scene started cause of the parent issues
*"A billionaire does not like the way the famous superhero is saving people,so he tries to stop him"*
I don't think that describes the conflict of Civil War at all.
*"A disappointing villain with a complicated plan"*
Step 1: Frame Bucky to draw him out.
Step 2: Use the trigger phrases to control Bucky and make him give the location of the tape.
Step 3: Find the tape
Step 4: Use the tape to destroy divide the Avengers.
That plan isn't complicated in the slightest.
*"Stops climatic fight scene because of parent issues"*
This describes neither movie. The climatic fight in BvS was the Doomsday fight, and the battle in Civil War STARTED because of parent issues.
*"Am I missing something here?"*

18:14
Yeah because we learned in Iron Man 3 that Tony doesn't have the arc reactor in his chest anymore. And even if he did, Cap broke the arc reactor powering the suit so the suit would shut down not to kill Tony.
Because that's Disney and Kevin Feige's way of playing it safe til Infinity War facepalm.
It would have killed him if he still had it tho
I mean... There's a very high probability that you'll die if you're locked in a broken metal suit in Siberia... Not to mention whatever injuries he got in that fight. I guess we're all lucky there's a Deus Ex Machina out there that saved him from frostbite, internal bleeding or both.
I didn’t know that. I like Little Mix by the way.

Everyone brings this up. Its because of the Vibranium it absorbs and reverses kinetic energy. So every time it hits something it reverses its force against the shield. Kind of like bouncing off of a spring. Cap has mastered this and its actually part of his skill set.

All Zemo had to do to destroy the Avengers as an organization was publicly reveal that Banner & Stark created Ultron.
They know that already.
It was obvious it was because of Stark. And he had a solid reason after Avengers.
But they didn't. They FOUND Ultron inside the staff. They may have woken him up but they didn't create him.

Wait, you neither _sinned_ nor _removed a sin_ for Tony's unibeam obliterating a vibranium fucking prosthetic? Come on dude!
TheTrueWolfboy I thought the same thing but upon rethinking I don't think it was ever actually stated anywhere that the arm was Vibranium, I think we all just assumed it was.
I don't think it's vibranium.
That arm was a mix of titanium and vibranium.
+pixtoys And where did you hear this exactly?
Comics.
In the beginning cap can hold hid breath for extremely long amounts of time, that's why he wasn't incapacitated I think.
Also Cap has high metabolism so much higher dosage is needed
Also also
Cap is at peak human condition so he has the highest level of immunity possible
Bimzicle close but it's because scarlet witch put like this air vacuum around him probably
Bimzicle Yeah But He Can't Fucking Hold His Breath For The Next 50 Years
Probably Assuming When He Was Defrosted He Was Somehow Still Alive
Bimzicle Meh ok then....
Spidey makes a big deal about Tony telling him to go for Captain America's legs....Spidey proceeds to NOT go for Captain America's legs. +1
Ikr like that made me mad
He does at one point web up Cap's right leg and yank him to the ground before pulling Cap towards himself so he can kick him in the face.
He went for the legs right before he mentioned it.
I'm sure that I'm the 5 millionth person to say this, but I freaking LOVE the snippets at the end of all of these. Sooooo many of them are simply genius!

Technically it hasn't been more than 70 years for Steve, since he was frozen for 70 some odd years. Going by movie release dates, Steve has been thawed out for 5 years, maybe less. It's entirely plausible that he remembers the girl's name. I give you one sin, CinemaSins.
kevnation55 the bamboozler becomes the bamboozeled
Are you really counting time between movie releases as being the same as movie in-universe time ?
Simboiss it roughly correlates with the MCU timeline
Really? Citation needed.
Alexander Paz I remember people from my childhoods full names and home phone numbers
Remember when cinemasins used to point out mistakes?
i don't think that many modern movies are making those continuity mistakes like when he used to point out how obviously the whole scene wasn't shot at once. ex. window broken in this scene window repaired in the next
Ok, THAT'S funny! Pepperidge Farms wins!
The strip clue line was gold! Actually LOL 😂😂😂
ouch
They pointed out a bunch of mistakes in this video.
MARTHA?!
We don't talk about Martha
HWY DID YEW SEY THAY NAYME
Stereotypical 12 year old "I don't care he killed my mom!"
BUCKY?
BUCKYYYY
7:05 bro he’s black panther. It’s like complaining that cap or Spider-Man would’ve survived the blast. He’s a super soldier with enhanced everything
