The suit makes atoms closer together, so how is it that a person can shrink to a size SMALLER than an atom???
The real question is how can he do that without creating a black hole? That much mass in a space smaller than an atom... It wouldn't end well for the earth.

Another sin: Ants are willing to die for each other and are _beyond_ loyal to fellow colony members. But they'll viciously tear apart any non-colony member ants. So does Hank constantly have to keep them from having their own tiny ant civil war?

The distance between itself and things that can fall into the sphere are, at that size, very large by comparison. Pretty sure you could almost step on it and not even know it was there.

Well, Ant man doesn't supposedly keep or gain weight. What happens is he keeps the force of a 200 lb man so he can punch with full size in one spot. Also adding on to what the other guy said, he rides ants, walk on guns while being held, and stand on someones shoulder. This is the same deal with the tank

My thoughts exactly.As a Marvel fan...i'm really starting to think this guy just want's to nit pick on every movie he could find.!! Most of the sins he picked out are'nt even sins at all.! He pointed them out because he does'nt like them or thinks it's not good enough or he just kept searching for even the tiniest mistakes every movie has,What a lousy way to make money.!!
You would also expend energy 10 times as fast and thus require ten times the amount of food and water during combat which wouldn't last very long because you would get tired too quickly.

#80-81: Hank was absolutely right by not telling Hope what happened to her mother. You cannot tell a 7 year old child that her mother is in another dimension, possibly dead or possibly suffering unimaginably. In order to grow up mentally healthy, girl needed to mourn her mother and move on, and not think every second "is my mommy in pain and alone right now?". Hank, on another hand, continued to fight and search for a way to reach his wife and spend all his time and effort on trying to save her. A chance to save his wife and Hope's mother was more important than raising Hope himself.
You can tell a 7 year old that her mother died it was probably just so she didn’t know her mother was the wasp and he was ant man
Here's my gripe. I know not everyone can look like Scarlett Johanson pretty but I don't think Hope looks very good. I mean it's a movie so I thought actors/actresses use a ton of make up, she looks kind of wrinkly to be Scott's interest. Side note, I didn't think Iron Man's girlfriend/wife looks any better either, but that's enough from me on that. I liked this movie

In the movie's defense, Ant-Man's ability to shrink down to the molecular level is a lot more advanced than Iron Man's awesome weapons and suit.

Movie was good. It just wasn't too...deep. I mean, this kind of movie doesn't have to be deep but it seemed like, even for a Marvel movie, this one was really light on the everything.

You missed one sin, the tech makes things size shrink but the weight stays the same, how did hank carry a 30 ton tank in his pocket, how did the ants carry Scott etc. ?

Although, this sort of thing is a misconception anyway. It's less about insects being really strong and more a consequence of how physics works with very small/light objects and creatures.
Regardless, there's another problem here. Let's say that you have an ant-sized guy who is really heavy for his size, and he hurls himself at a security guard. He's not going to just punch the guy back. He's going to punch *right through him*. Ant Man is basically a self-propelled bullet.

I love your vids but you're misinformed about SOME things. Like in real life fire ants actually link together like we saw in the water main scene, and how the two crooks were never in handcuffs, they were about to be but the cops got distracted before they were cuffed
True. They were also wrong on why they chose ants instead of fleas,ticks,and ect. I guess they didn't know that Pym chose ants because they can carry 10xs their weight unlike the other insects. I usually love these videos but most of what they gave sins for were explained in the movie.

Actually, they wanted an Avenger that a rookie Ant-Man could go toe-to-toe with. Falcon is one of the weakest ones, so that's why he was chosen... Also, it tied in with Civil War.

The thing that kinda bothered me was...why did everyone treat him like a career criminal mastermind? Maybe I just missed something, but wasn't it rather heavily implied he did the ONE job burglarizing his former company, for which he got caught?
Plus that was just half hacking the company's bank account and half driving his boss' car into his pool.
Yet his friends treat him like he's the best thief ever and his wife and her cop husband treat him like he has done a lifetime of these heists to the point that it's a pattern with him.
Yeah but when you do one job that involves burgulary, stealing money from a multimillion dollar corporation. Going through the private files of everyone who did business there. It's more like he did like 5 crimes.

Ant-man did say that he might not survive if he went giant. I can't remember the exact term he used but he said something along the lines that it would be really dangerous.

For sin #9, he was arrested for cyber-espionage, hacking into a multi-billion dollar tech company and releasing it's private records. He's also a convicted felon. Those two things, combined, means he's probably LUCKY to get a job at a Baskin-Robbins.
Yeah i was annoyed by that one too. And dude doesn't seem to know just how difficult it is for convicted felons to get work, they often lie about their criminal history for this very reason.

Nonsense. Most high profile hackers who get caught and serve their sentences go into giving speeches about cybersecurity to company executives.
Making humans 10 times larger isn't really a good thing for a soldier on the battlefield. For one thing the enemy can see you coming a mile away, and shoot you with a rocket launcher for good measure since you make one amazing target. Making them so small the enemy can't see you coming while still retaining your mass in order to hit with concentrated force is more practical and effective, that's a real combat advantage.
Also, don't diss Flacon or Hawkeye. They're more than dangerous enough. I know it's a common joke to riff on Hawkeye for just having a bow and arrow and no superpowers. But having read the comics and watching the movies, that's all Hawkeye needs to be awesome.

hawkeye kind of has a super power. he has enhanced targeting so he can shoot better and aim better, and in the comics hawkeye is a complete badass.

Thomas Esquiere Not really, he's shown many times he's capable enough to fight alongside a super soldier, a rage monster and a God. He's the only one to take down Scarlet Witch, he took down God knows how many Ultrons and Chutari, and sent Loki flying several blocks.
One thing that really did surprise me was how well handled the more dramatic character driven elements were in the movie.

I didn't understand what you were saying at first but now that I'm really looking at it, Glocks don't have external hammers.
This is Marvel, so the following issue isn't really too great in comparison to a multitude of other scientific inaccuracies - but shrinking the space between the atoms would not be physically possible without killing the wearer or the suit since the negative energies of electrons would repel them from eachother - causing the suit and it's wearer to loose basically all electrons, which would then prevent his/her body from working at all; the body relies heavily on the atomic bonding of elements, which relies heavily on electron shells - and the bonding of atoms forms biopolymers, which form proteins, cellulose and DNA. All necessary for a body to function.
I could be HEAVILY mistaken.

Making humans bigger is stupid. Smaller means smaller target. It's why tanks don't have towering turrets, and instead try to keep a lower to the ground form. Bigger has no advantages really, besides vantage point. And space, I guess.
Now, if we're assuming bigger means also tougher or some such lot, then fine, I guess that makes some sense. Supersize a soldier so his flesh is that much thicker so to stop bullets or some such lot. But I really, even then, don't see it ever going into a proper phasing. After all, again, big guy, bigger target. He's going to be a magnet for enemy fire, and probably going to get constantly pelted by mortar fire.

The major advantage of increased size is thicker skin, allowing you to take more punishment.
The Ant-Man suit delivers much better protection than thick skin while also providing better infiltration and movement capabilities.
In conclusion, larger size is pointless.

People might already know this, but the movie saying that changing the space between atoms changes the size is wrong, that would only change the state of matter. Changing size involves adding or removing atoms.

What would happen if you shrunk or enlarged PART of something? Say, shrunk the nozzles of that rocket. Enlarge one of the plates that made up the outside of that missile. Make the nose cone really big until it aims downward then shrink it back. Heck, shrunk the entire missile to a few inches long, then go home and share a beer.

Or if it was originally a keychain, it would not have so much detail that it works and runs as a full sized tank. Also, that would make a very light tank even if it did work.

1. When ant man is punching the dude on the ground in the suit chamber, that dude just stare at him instead of resisting
2. Villain able to suit up easily in a short time and on a flying heli
3. Cops show up right after Ant-Man came back
This movie is one of the worst movies ever created because it constantly forgets how its own fake science works. If the mass of the thing being shrunk or grown remains the same, then he'd still remain 160 pounds when shrunk down to the size of an ant. The goat would have still weighed 60 pounds when shrunk down so it would not have been possible to be a dick to the small goat. Nothing in this film makes any sense when you realize that the mass remains unchanged.

But on the other hand all the shrunk vehicles Pym has been carrying around should be the weight of a normal car, so there isn't really any consistency.

The most "realistic" explanation behind pym particles would be that they reduce the amount of space in between the atoms of any given object, increasing its density and preserving its mass, but that makes no sense for various reasons(Scott/Pym wouldn't be able to get on ants while shrunk, enlarging/shrinking small/big things means that they are still heavy/light. The list goes on honestly)

There is a HUGE problem with the ending of the movie. The ant-man suit is only supposed to decrease the distance between atoms, not physically shrink anything. This would make it physically impossible to shrink "between the molecules" or "go subatomic."
