I love the fact that the entire YuGiOh timeline happened as a result of Seto Kaiba being filthy rich.
he wasn't filthy rich, he was a orphan that was genius who used his intellect to be adopted with mokuba into the kaiba household where he was tormented into becoming a psycho that only sees money but despite this he ruined his father stopped the entire business of weapon manufacturing and other shady stuff and made kaiba corp into a genuinely good company that was focused on toy and other children entertainment like amusement parks however, kaiba was not sane after the mental torture that his dad put him through in the end he started making death games and slowly going insane until yugi stopped him and shattered his mind (a spell) forcing him to overcome his demons restoring him back to normal.

That is actually how Link monsters worked at first. You could only have more than 1 extra deck monster if there was a Link monster pointing at it. They changed it because people hated it.
I think they changed it because link monsters were first implemented to slow the game down but became even faster paced than before so they just gave us master rule 5 because some decks sucked without it.
Pendulums are still restricted which is fine imo. When I say pendulums I mean from the extra deck that are restricted

This is a great point to bring up that in every universe Yugi Muto spends EIGHT YEARS of his life, the eight years leading up to the start of Yu-Gi-Oh, just building the Millennium Puzzle and nothing else. Plus I think the puzzle only has like 25 pieces (guessing from what i remember in the show when you saw it in pieces. Hand does it take you 8 yeas with less pieces than an actual children’s puzzle Yugi is special alright XD.
@@chaosspear0195 The puzzles solution shifts. Pieces stop fitting when they used to fit. The dark magic it has, prevents anyone it doesn't find deserving of solving it, from solving it.
In other words, stupid or smart, if the puzzle doesn't want you to solve it, you won't.

And when you try to brute force through it, there will be consequences. In the manga, Otogi(Duke Delvin)'s father trying to solve the puzzle by force, which resulted in make the Millennium Puzzle angry and shove into his brain numerous horrific images.
The zexal stuff was skimmed over.
Basically, zexal revolves around the number wars. "Numbers" being those xyz monsters (ie number 39: utopia). They're basically sentient fragments of creation that like to possess their users and kill people for shits and giggles.... most of them, anyways (not all 100 have the same "I'm bored, let's kill things" personality).
These 100 numbers are pieces of the numeron dragon - aka the numeron code. The numeron code itself was that single card that can alter reality, which gx teases in the final season.
As yuma & astral are collecting numbers, they get engulfed in a literal war between heaven and hell. Astral world = heaven, barian world = hell. Each side wants to get the numeron code to nuke each other out of existence, and since the numbers are scattered across earth, earth is the battlefield for this war of the heavens. Yuma & the friends we made along the way all fight and mostly die trying to stop barian world's invasion in a sci fi version of biblical armageddon where the barians are using the powers of the numbers they've collected to make pseudo-shadow games, and yuma & astral eventually save the day & collect all the numbers by killing space satan (don thousand) in a card game.
After that, astral leaves and uses the numeron code to not only give regular people access to magic again (chaos) and bring the billions of people who died in the battle back to life - before fucking off back to space heaven.
Does that make Astral Alien Jesus? Or is that Yuma?

The only number that i know of that does represent a specific biblical entity is number 96: dark mist who is the spirit of the antichrist (he's the anti-astral and the literally possessing a president of a south american country at one point)
Small correction, Barian World and Astral World isnt technicaly Hell since to Barian World you can enter by being evil or having corruption
4:20 Regarding tearing the Blue Eyes White Dragon, that's actually a carry over from the manga version. In the manga, Seto Kaiba had previously stolen the card from Yugi earlier in the story and Yugi/The Pharaoh challenged him to a Shadow Game version of Duel Monsters to get it back. When Seto was about to lose, he attempted to use the Blue Eyes against Yugi, but it refused to attack out of loyalty to Yugi's grandfather and sent itself to the graveyard instead, which let Yugi bring it back with Monster Reborn and win the game. Sometime later, Seto comes back to get revenge on Yugi by inviting him to an amusement park death trap to terrorize Yugi and his friends, before challenging Yugi to a rematch and rips up the grandfather's Blue Eyes so that it couldn't be used against him.
The first episode of the anime adapts their rematch as the first duel between them, with Seto's introduction from his first appearance spliced in to establish his character.
10:19 That's actually not that far off. Kaiba Corp was a weapons manufacture that had been making it's money by selling arms to both sides of any ongoing conflict, until Seto took over the company and restructured it into a game company.

To add in, Kaiba had a battle with Yugi's grandpa first, like in the anime, where he wins and then rips up the only Blue Eyes White Dragon in his possession. But the reason grandpa is put into such a terrible condition is that he experiences a simulation of death, just as Yami Yugi had done to Kaiba after their first match.

Funnily enough, Kaiba Corps origins are never specified in the manga. The most we get is Kaiba taking over, and Gozaburo going insane, congratulating Seto, and then throwing himself out of the building to his death.

The fact that the manga stories are different than the anime's blew my mind when I first checked them out. I think my favorite change is what happened with Yuri's character from Arc V; going from a sadistic villain in the anime to a protective older brother to Yuya in the manga; the tonal shift between interpretations is wild~

There were some good parts to the manga but everything in it was bad. I prefer the arc-v anime more than the manga mostly because of what they did yuya and yuzu. making yuzu the mother of yuya in the manga was one of the worst decisions in the yu gi oh franchise. thats why i don't consider the arc-v manga canon

Well as the Blue eyes tuber I can point out that the timeline is accurate plus there is something that was left out of both the anime and manga relating to Kaiba which was cut off but there was suppose to be more development that breaks down the relationship between the Kaiba and Blue eyes this was confirmed by the creator himself
While GX never had its 4th season dubbed, 5Ds never had its 4th season dubbed as well as part of the 3rd season.
Dang they left our season 0
I think season 0 only fits in with manga canon. Including stuff like GX, 5D’s, etc. is anime canon stuff.

@@Animemusorta… Honestly the only real connecting thread which is the thinnest you could possibly pull, would be Trudge and Seto. As in a sense, you could argue the shadow games affected them so much that it would carry over to DM onwards.
For Seto, it was a psuedo personality restart, with him being less of a rich scumbag than his Season 0 self following the season’s finale. Thus giving him the urge to beat Yugi more fairly or at least not at the extremes back then. And for Trudge, it could have traumatized him so much that he tried to mend his ways. Which sorta works out at the second half of 5ds if you think about it. But once again, these are really the only threads that could connect Season 0 to the timeline.

@@Animemusit definitely happened in the anime canon too, because there are a couple flashbacks to scenes from "season 0" like Jounouchi bullying Yugi before becoming friends.
This was made prior to revelations about the currently airing anime, Go Rush, actually being another split in time. Long story short, the lead of Sevens got sent back in time following the final duel. He ended up going far enough back to the point he landed somewhere when Solid Vision didn't even exist yet, and was forced to make the card game earlier.

Patterrz yu-gi-oh experience seems similar to mine, i watched all of the first one, most of the GX, all of the 5Ds, 1 episode of Zexal, 2 episodes of Arc-V, around 50 episodes of Vrains.

What's also kinda funny about that situation is that Mai was still able to summon Ra she just couldn't read the spell that was the final step to bring him through since she wasnt immediatelykilled upon trying. Ra essentially approved Mai which says a lot about her (of how much he hated Marik since as we see in GX, Ra is extremely petty)

White hole was created as one of “Meta-Counter cards” series during the time back in the early days of competitive YGO where a lot players were abusing some of the strongest cards in the game back in the day.

@@cardking7776 Jaden was legitimately never dead tho, even without BBT. 😭Yubel is shown as having the power to dimensiontravel at will(or cancel such a gimmick at will, as shown with no one being yeeted after the prior draw where Yubel stole Super Poly), so there is no reason to assume their fused form traveling to another dimension has a chance of them not ending up in one piece unlike everyone else.

As someone who thanks to Master Duel has been semi-abdorbed in Yugioh related content, this will be great to see.
Also for me the series thus far as been seeing the original mainly on Saturday Mornings, watched GX when I was much younger and thus hardly remember any episodes, watched 5Ds mainly on Saturday's but only missed the non-tournament stuff of season 2, and watched all but the last little half of Zexal on Saturdays as well. Arc V and Vrains are ones I haven't seen but do now want to watch someday.
Duke Devlin is canon to the manga but the events were completely different. Duke's father is one of Solomon's old rivals and decided to steal the Millennium Puzzle after Yugi became famous from defeating Pegasus. He believed that Duke was chosen one of the puzzle and destined to be King of Games. So he broke the puzzle so that Duke to solve it to prove that Yugi wasn't anything special. Duke fails and Yugi is able to complete the puzzle instantly proving he is indeed the chosen one. Also Duke's father decides that he can still be an arsonist and nearly burns down the whole building with Yugi and Duke inside.
Patterz, please, spellcommander has a video about a theory on why the first 4 yugioh protags are not in their respective universe in yugioh arc-v. It's so good I really think you would love it.
My favorite is his theory about the Phantasms.
Fun fact for the Zexal manga: it is the only manga other than the original manga that it was released before its anime version(s).

@@gabeitches87 "Dark Hole"'s Japanese name is "Black Hole", so "White Hole" was the natural choice. It's just that "Dark Hole" had the misfortune to have been released at a time when the English localization went overboard with wanting to avoid the word "black".
He actually ignores the fact that Kazuki Takahashi created a follow up with a still living Kaiba. Implying that he got back from the afterlife because he is Seto Motherfucking Kaiba.
After I started watching Little Kuriboh's reaction to Yu Gi Oh GX all I can think is "Elemental Hero Nice Ass"
as someone who only watched (obsessively) small amounts of the first series at random i'm actually mindblown at how awesome the later series sound

The Vrains storyline actually continues in the game, along with some stories in Arc V and Zexal.
Actually, ZeXaL seems to just be starting from ZeXaL II for some god forsaken reason. The only one that did anything like that was Dark Side of Duels, and that was probably because movie with not much content to begin with compared to an anime series.
It's otherwise the only exception to how it's all handled and I hate it.
Kaiba corp used to be a military arms manufacturer however once Seto seized control from Gozuburo he pulled a Tony Stark and shut that shit down immediately.
You know, I really wonder if you'll watch the History of Kamen Rider series by Marcosatsu. Since despite being a multi media series, there is a season based on Video games. But at the same time, you would need to watch the videos on the Showa Era to know where the series started and to understand the difference between the eras.
I think it would be easier to start him off with either a Power Ranger video or seeing a Sentai video. I don’t know if there’s a comparison video on how the series differ. I just think it would help him since he most likely watched or at least knows Power Rangers. Learning later that Kamen Rider is the older brother would probably help if any Super Hero Taisens get brought up. Also I don’t know his anime knowledge, but I think it would be funny to see him watch the history of Gaim due to the popular anime the writer worked on.
The thing about Kaiba pretty much disappearing for the rest of the manga is because Waking the Dragons, Noah's arc, and the first half of the final season were all filler and made by the creators of the anime. They were never in the manga.
Xyz summoning is my personal favorite type also Pendulum summoning is not that complicated to understand and are really cool

My dream archetype is a Water Spellcaster Ritual Pendulum Archetype that has a lot of flexibility, like it has 6 different boss monsters, and to achieve one you are locked to one specific combo, and each boss monsters would be made to counter one type of strategy.
Of course it would probably have an Archetype lock, after using Exceed the Pendulum.
@@sofarsogood8680 one of the ways to make this archetype work is making the scale effects Ritual Spells, I personally like the idea of using pend scales as tributes, like instead of levels it see if the scale of the monster used as a tribute is equal or higher than the monster you want to summon.
And when the pendulum monster is used as a tribute for this it goes for the Extra Deck, depending on how much powerful you want this deck to be you can add an once-per-turn effect on the scales to add to your hand an face-up monster on your Extra Deck to your hand.

So...if we are going with the theory that VRAINS and DSOD are on their own specific timeline based on the scenario that Seto died obsessing over a final duel with Atem...then that means everything, all the changes on that same timeline is all Mokuba's doing because Seto handed him the company....Mokuba shaped that whole universe and all the horrendous nonsense that came after. 😬

Kaiba loved games as a child and capitalized on the popularity of duel monsters by using his company’s tech to create live simulations of the cards.

This video honestly while I’m sure the dude worked hard, I think PALES in comparison to YugiohEverything’s timeline video, PLEASE check out YugiohEverything’s video he goes into SO much more detail and gives A LOT more solid logic to how for example ZEXAL is on its own timeline and how one of the mangas is on an anime timeline and such

True but I do think his last bit here is pretty dang solid how the blue light duel disk before unavailing himself for a grudge would leed to a cascading different outcome with digital dueling like in Vrain since the company would to a whole different direction without “screw the rules I have money”man in charge wether he got humbled or not changing the worlds events and history without the overwhelming Kaiba Corp direction for the world society.

I liked pendulum summoning. You can summon multiple monsters in one turn and then proceed to do other types of summoning method for your combo
Don't forget that Duel Monsters is the modern version of the Shadow Games. So it's basically a form of magic that everybody is playing as a children's card game.
I grew up with 5ds so I went back and rewatched it a while ago and saw a few videos on it. Apparently the first 64 episodes were the original idea of the show, which mainly focused on cults and such. However, one of the voice actors was found to be in an actual real life cult. Her character was greatly reduced, and they essentially retconned a lot of the ideas of that first chunk and created the whole sci-fi time travel stuff. That was never the original plan, which makes sense because the show after episode 64 had a lot of filler before we really got going, so it felt like they were figuring it out as they went. In contrast, the first 64 episodes of 5ds had little filler and a lot of story. Personally I actually wish we saw the original story play out, I always thought the dark signers and cult stuff was more interesting. It also felt like 5ds was only meant to be 64 episodes, though idk if that's confirmed or not it felt very conclusive after episode 64

42:06 This is EH Terra Firma, which is Jaiden’s ace in the manga, and is part of a pseudo-series of celestial body cards, with TF being Earth and the only one that is archetypal.
49:44 Oddly enough, Go Rush actually went in a very unexpected to this following it’s second arc.(Spoiler)
The TLDR is that events in Go Rush take place in the past, though not far back as Vrains’s events. With it being changed by events sorta following Seven’s finale, which essentially made it so that the Rush duel format came out way earlier.
I'm just going to say, it would have been interesting to hear the original author confirm that both worlds are cannon and he was creating his own version of the Nasuverse (That at least makes sense), sadly he can't, but I will at least see it that way because both versions are good in their own way. 😢

I was always aware that ALL the different sagas were connected in some way, I just never knew how until now.
First real hint at multiverse - in terms of continuity - was the 5D's manga.
in that universe is not child's games, cause clearly they said it multiple times, is energy and produce energy thanks to kaibacorp, but before that was like a chessgame basicaly, and for obvious reasons clearly stated on the shows and manga, it resolves around that "card game"

I’m loving the Sevens dub right now ! Romin and Roa are definitely my favorite characters!! It brings me back to those Saturday morning cartoon vibes that I wish I could go back to! It’s nice to have a new Yu-Gi-Oh show to watch weekly. The switch game is a nice change of pace too.
I see the 2 new shows get a lot of hate because of the new studio and art style but I think they’re a nice rebranding for the complicated game of Yu-Gi-Oh!
I can’t remember where I saw this, but Kaiba Corp was originally a weapons developer and dealer. Kaiba was the one who closed the weapons development and turned to games and anything that would make the games better.

Z-One is actually NOT an android unlike Antinome, Aporia and Paradox. He is the only one who did not die of old age. The machine he's inside of is plugged to him and prolonging his life. Thats partly why he willingly dies at the end of 5DS to destroy the Arc Cradle. You can make an argument that he's somewhat of a Cyborg as he's permanently part machine. But he is still himself. Android Aporia, Antenome and Paradox are technically not the same people as their original counterparts, just AI android copies.

to answer your question about GX's ending, I'm guessing you only saw Season's 1-3, as they were the only seasons to get localized.
Season 4 was Sub only and that's the season Jaden gets crippling depression, fight's the devil, goes back in time to duel Yugi and Atem, and then becomes a Vagabond.
Because of the way DM and the dub ended, I thought every part of Yugioh would end with the MC kicking the bucket because Season 3's ending made it looked like Jaden died

GX season 3 *was* dubbed but season 4 wasnt, this was because roughly around that time 5ds was already airing in japan, and pressure from different executives from both the US/JP iirc meant they went straight to 5ds instead of the final season of GX
Antimatter is just like negative numbers, and normal matter like positive numbers, when they meet, they cancel out to 0 and disappear, but because matter is just condensed energy, if matter collapses to 0, it gets converted 100% to energy, so if you have a proton and an antiproton, and they meet they release the energy that makes up 2 protons, all of it, so it is a way to convert matter in to energy with 100% efficiency, no leftovers, there is nothing that is more efficient. There is something that is theoretically just as efficient, there is a theoretical way to drain energy from a black hole, so you could just trow stuff in to the black hole, and then drain the energy equivalent from the bh, which would be also 100% efficient, but as you may imagine, antimatter, something that we can actually create right now just in low quantities, is more realistic than the mechanics of bh energy plants.
That being said, both forms of energy conversion, antimatter and bh plants can be very easealy reporpoused to make solar system wide bombs, so i expect no civilization using them without self destructing, as all it takes is one random idiot or even a malfunctioning system to blow a solar system, and such types of energy would be a prerequisite to even attempt to colonize other systems.
It just so happens that stuff that makes good fuel also makes good bombs.
The elemental hero shown on the manga cover is Elemental Hero Terra Firma, one of a bunch of hero cards that were only in the manga. Basically in the manga Jaden was given the e hero deck by a guy who was put in a coma by yubel. When he woke up jaden gave the deck back and built a deck that was his own, changing to use the Masked Heroes who use mask change to summon fusion monsters without fusion cards. Also theyre based on Kamen Riders!

Why do people hate 5ds so much I never will understand! I love it! Sure, dueling on motorcycles is odd, but the characters and story are great! Holy moly there are eight of them now?! Man it's been that long since I've watched a Yugioh series?! 5ds was the last one I watched.
I rewatched GX a couple of years ago. I also didn’t know about S3, but all three seasons dubbed are on Tubi now.

Here’s a Idea, what if when the original universe split, it didn’t exactly split, it created 4 alternate dimensions that Ray and Zark went to while the original dimension was left to develop on its own and the dimension was weakened originally but repaired over time.
