@hxccomms777 You seemed to be doing quite well at the most challenging part of the Quigley Match when I was filming on the line. How do you feel you performed through the entire match? I apologize for the crude video, I can't bear to throw away a perfectly functioning camera, despite it developing a small black spot in the lower right of the image. Thank you for watching.

That wind was brutal! Had a big goose egg on the offhand, 30+ mph winds

My apologies for the late reply. At times I had trouble seeing the targets with all that dust in my eyes! The action in my rifle was packed with fine dust, grinding each time I dropped the lever.

Hello, Doctor, my apologies for the late reply. I don't know what is going on with You Tube these days . . . I don't see comments in a timely manner and I often don't get notifications for videos you post.

@@markcarew6724 I'm having similar issues with the "Tube", they can't seem to figure themselves out with all their new AI options. I've had them unsubscribe some of my oldest supporters.

It was entertaining as well as enjoyable. There was a much more relaxed atmosphere than at many matches in Canada.

You are too kind, I know the video is rather crude. I will make a video soon detailing some of my experiences on the shooting line.

Would be a wonderful match to attend. Probably never make it in person but thanks to video I never miss it.

Johnny, I live near Toledo, OH., & it's about 1,500 miles to the ranch from here. I first found out about this match during the winter of 2015-16. I have a nice 1884 Springfield "Trapdoor" .45-70 rifle, so I learned about reloading Black Powder Cartridges, made some phone calls to ask questions, loaded up 100 rounds (not enough-need 48 just for the match), & left on Friday, a week before the match. Fuel pump quit Saturday night near Jackson, MN, so, didn't get there until Tuesday night. Long story short, I only hit 7 out of 48 shots, but had a very good time visiting with veteran shooters & learning about the sport. I went back in 2017, 18 & 21. Because of my wife having health problems, & my age (81), the distance, I probably won't get to go again. If you have the chance, & the desire to do this, do it. Your score doesn't matter, except to you, but the experience is worth every bit of it. I'm glad that I have the memories. Afterwards in 2016, I visited Little Bighorn Battlefield, Cheyenne, WY, a cousin in Littleton, CO, then went to Long Beach, CA to visit family, then Rt.66, Barstow & Needles, then Lincoln & Ft. Sumner, NM (Billy the Kid), Davis gun museum in Claremore, OK then back home, 1,600 miles in 3 weeks, 2 days. Other years, Wagon Box Battlefield, Ft. Phil Kearney, Forsyth Massacre site, Ogden, UT Union Pacific & John Browning Museums, Ft. Robinson, Deadwood, SD
      & many other historical sites.

My sincere apologies for my late reply. What a wonderful comment, thank you. Doug and I had an adventure getting to the match as well, not as significant as your travels in 2017. Next year we are going to take some extra time and do some more sight seeing in America. Doug and drove 3150 miles in total, from rural Ontario.

Wow! What a marvelous place to ring the steel. Silly me would have probably shot at the white Buffalo with the 805 on him:) I would be happy if you sent me a note regarding your experiences. Thank you for showing us what it looks like. No shot timers and a few old timers.
